Thanks!

I love this day, because I get a free pass to do all of the forbidden things that I usually can't.

Oh, and because I love being a dad. :)

Thanks!

She probably gave you a nice spit-up, huh?

My son wrote/drew me a nice card telling me how much he loves me and that I am his best friend. For that, I let him play Gothic more than usual today.

Thanks....and congrats to all....

The kids pampered me today, foot rub - fetched my breakfast, all that jazz....

Sucky thing is, I leave for the airport in 1 hour to fly out for a 4 week training trip.

WOW - I wish my wife had that attitude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a serious note, happy pops day to all the other dads - I feel a little sorry for my wife as I take a nap, watch the game and surf the net while she watches all 4 of our rug rats.

Yes...she's an Oilers' fan and was born the day the Oilers turned it around against the Sharks...Game 3. She's been a blessing to us and a good luck charm to the Oilers........so far!!!!

Thanks, and I hope all the dad's are having a good day.

I'm currently watching Bill Cosby:Himself with Will, who is sitting here realizing where a good bit of his parent's commentary on parenting comes from ;)

Damn. My ignorance will now be blasted by the liberal lynch mob.

Ok, that might have been a bad choice of words.

Everybody knows Cosby is an Uncle Tom. He actually expects kids to go to school, get an education, and contribute to society. Fool.

Thanks Farrah and same to all the other dad's out there. I'm sitting outside on one of those comfy fold-up chairs, smoking a cigar, drinking a Yuengling Lager, surfing the web, all the while watching the reason for my Dad-title play with the neighborhood kids.

All-in-all a great Father's Day.

Cute. :)

I've wondered if my own newborn (born unfortunately the day the Canes got waxed by Montreal in game one of the first round) had some charm about her, because we seemed to more often do better when I was holding her (though the magic seems to have run out the last week or so). Still, with her and her older sister, it's nice having a reminder that even if Carolina shold lose tomorrow, the world is still going to roll along and it's only sports. I'll be f'ing miserable for a day or so, but I'll be able to move on. :)

It still brings a little warmth to me to remember when Carolina lost game six to Buffalo that my older daughter came downstairs, gave me a hug and said "Sorry, Daddy." It's amazing how these little buggers just worm their way into your heart.

Thanks Farrah, and here's hoping all the other dads had a nice day.

Me, well, bleh. My wife left for Chicago for a week this morning, way before I woke up, I felt her giving me a kiss, wishing me a happy father's day and good luck for the week to come... I'll be Mr Mom for a week...

Still got to take my oldest to McDonald's, which I know he loves, after his soccer tourney and got to play in the pool with my youngest. He was laughing so hard, he was almost crying. At one point he simply said, out of the wiseness and his 2 and a half years of age: "daddy, he's funny!" That made my day, I'll be repeating that little sentence all week long now, trying to mimick his tone of voice... :)

Haven't seen the family since June 1. But that will be changing soon.

Thanks, of course, my kids are a bit older than those pictured and are no longer 'cute'. They are 10 and 11, but they, along with Mrs Dutch (who still is cute, thank God :) ) hooked me up today.

Started off with the kids making me eggs, bacon and toast. And the eggs actually tasted like eggs, so I was thankful for that. The bacon needed work....shhhh...

Then I sat down and watched Cinderella Man for the first time which was a surprisingly good film.

The kids then hooked me up with a new PC Game F.E.A.R which I played today for an hour or so, I was having fun and love being spooked, so I think this one will do the trick.

The wife got me a new grilling set which was conveniently perfect since I cooked steaks for dinner to go along with our 8lbs of cajun crawfish I purchased. Steaks, Crawfish, and Beer....mmmmm...was so good.

Then, as the sun was going down, the kids and I put in a new mailbox since the old one was so scrawny and downright ghetto looking compared to everybody elses. But that's not notable in itself, the kids and I then used the sledgehammer to send that old scrawny mailbox out in style--gansta style that is--ala Office Space. Damn it feels good to be a gansta.

It was a perfect day--and I appreciated it. :)

Happy Fathers Day!

Me too, never had them before I moved here either. It's never pretty, but they are a lot of fun, perfect for just about anything non-formal. :)

It was my first Father's Day and it was pretty cool. :) Got a couple of framed pictures of the baby for the office and season 2 of Entourage on DVD.

I had a great Father's Day. My second son with the twin 2 year old daughters, just brought home his first son of his own Sunday. We were all very celebratory and had a good time holding the newest little addition to the family. That counts doesn't it? :)
