OK the first one I saw I thought it was a pretty decent idea - mac is a young "hip" guy and PC is an old dorky guy.

But some of the things they are trying to insinuate are just plain stupid.

the one I saw the Mac talked about the fun things he could do like "video, music and podcasts"

and the PC responded with a "fun" grayscale chart?

Apple, do you really expect people to believe that PC's aren't capable of playing music, videos and podacast, not to mention color pie charts.

very weak and extremely condescending IMO

Yeah, that is ridiculous. PC should have told him that he has a bigger library of software than Mac and that he could upgrade whenever he felt like it. Plus he could have said he is customizable and teleported the hell out of that commercial. :D

Well, the old dorky guy is the brilliant John Hodgman (http://www.areasofmyexpertise.com), former literary agent, author, and host of Little Gray Books (http://www.littlegraybooks.com). Him being the PC makes me think I'd rather have one over a Mac.

These commericals are getting pretty damned annoying. They were cute in the beginning. Now... some ridiculous stuff being peddled.

I don't know I'm pretty MAC resistant, and I like 'em. The commercials that is.

Oh, yeah, he's on the Daily Show! I think I saw him do a thing about the World Cup..pretty funny stuff.

I found Hodgman's book, The Areas of My Expertise, to be pretty funny, but it's a book that some people love and some people hate.
