I don't mean to offend anyone, but there are maybe 3 games in their first 13 weeks that would be considered upsets if the steelers lost them.
5 of their first 9 games are against top line teams (Jax, Cincy, Denver, KC, SD), how does that equate to "Not picking underdogs"? If anyting in 4 of those 9 games they SHOULD be underdogs.
Just pinging on the overwhelmingly biased picks around here =) If the Steelers win 10 of their first 11 I'll paint myself black and gold and streak down my block waving a steelers flag.

Seriously, what do they have?
Running back who hasn't been the same since a leg injury and jail time
A QB with more miles on him than the team travels in a season
An O-line with more questions than answers.
A Defense with 2 top flight stars left from a once dominant squad. One of which is showing his age.
A Head coach who is supposed to be this Offensive genius....but well, his offenses have sucked wind for half a decade now.....
So tell me, what have the Raven's got?

I've been kind of out of it for a while with all the stress from work going on. Other than glancing at a couple of posts, and generally this thread, I haven't seen a lot of the forum. Am I remembering correctly that you were going to be married last month? If so, congratulations (sorry it's belated).

Thanks! Yup, I was married nearly three weeks ago and then spent a week in Barbados for the honeymoon. The wedding went off almost without a hitch and the honeymoon was amazing.
Married life really isn't that different so far, though. I guess dating for seven years and living in sin for two will do that... ;)

Eaglesfan27: Looks to improve to an easy 2-0 with a pick of the Raiders losing to the Ravens. His points could take a serious hit with a prediction of 14 points for the Raiders, they may now score that many points this season if they play like they did in week 1.
DeToxRoxDHVStyle: Predicts the Lions over the Bears in Chicago, should set him back to 1-1.
timmynausea: Puts his 1-0 record on the line with a pick of the Broncos over the Chiefs at Denver. Hard to tell what to espect from this game as a loss for either team will put them in a big early season hole. I say go with the home team when in doubt so he should improve to 2-0.
Wasabiak: Sitting at 1-0 and predicting the Vikings over the Panthers. I would have doubted this pick but based on week 1 he has a very good shot at being 2-0.
MikeVic: Should improve to 2-0 with his Dolphins over teh Bills pick. The Dolphins should rebound against the Bills with ease.
kingfc22: Will improve to 2-0 with the Falcons over the Buccaneers. Could really improve his average with this one as his score could be spot on.
TazFTW: Rams over the 49ers in San Francisco. This one will be a tough one to call and should go down to the wire. In the end he should be 2-0 but it should be closer than his selection.
bearcat729: Will improve to 2-0 with the Bengals over the Browns. Picked a blowout and could very likely get it.
duckman: Picked the Cowboys over the Redskins in a low scoring game. Should improve to 1-1 in the battle of the over-rated.
stevew: Picks the Steelers over the Jaguars in a blowout. Will be off by quite a few points as this will be anything but a blowout (at least for the Steelers). I can see him dropping to 2-0 with a big time win for the Jaguars that could boost them into the realm of contenders.
DolphinFan1: Will improve to 1-1 when the Patriots beat the Jets. The Patriots will pile it on in this game.
EagleFan: Will even my record at 1-1 when the Seahawks beat the Cardinals. Will be off by quite a few points as the game will be closer than anticipated.
MIJB#19: Will drop to 0-2 when the Eagles take the home field advantage and win a tight one against the Giants.
Karlifornia: Makes his first pick of the season with the Saints beating the Packers. Hard to call on this one but could get the win.
Vince: Starts the season out 1-0 with his first pick as the Chargers will handle the Titans in San Diego.

JeeberD looks to keep his record at .500 as he will get one of two picks right with the Bears beating the Bills. The Cowboys will drop quicker than a football being snapped to Aaron Brooks.
Bearcat729 looks to keep up the early pressure and move to 4-1 as the Panthers should easily beat the Browns.
Eaglesfan27 has a strong chance to remain the pace setter and move to 4-0 with his pick of the Vikings over the Lions. In the end though does it really matter who wins this game?
DolphinFan1 will drop below .500 as the Dolphins have about as much chance of beating the Patriots as I have of becoming a center in the NBA.
MikeVic makes a run at getting to .500 with a 2-0 week as he picks the Rams over the Packers and the Colts over the hopeless Titans.
duckman has a strong chance of an 0-2 week to drop to 3-3 as the Saints could very well beat the Buccaneers and the Chargers will beat the Steelers.
fantastic flying froggies will improve to 2-1 as the Giants will pile it up on the Redskins.
I hope to move to 3-2 as the Chiefs could beat the Cardinals but it really depends on which version of the Chiefs decide to show up for the game.
Coffee Warlord will drop to 0-1 with his first pick of the season as the Jaguars will handle the Jets with ease.
kingfc22 could improve to 4-1 with the 49ers over the Raiders. The real losers are those who have to suffer through watching this game. This should count towards their time in purgatory.
Wasabiak could move to 4-1 in a toss up game of teh Broncos over the Ravens. This one could go either way.

Is it just me or should the division breakdowns go 1-2 games picked and 3-5 instead of 1 game and 2-5? I mean the people with 5 games picked are kinda getting shafted by people who only picked 2? seems a little unbalanced there.

5-0 Dolphins? That is why I have never and will never predict an Eagles game, too easy to be unrealistic. If the Dolphins are 5-0; I will strip naked and run across the 50 yard line at Lincoln Financial.
Also, no way will the Cowboys be undefeated at this point in the season. Maybe looking at 2-2.
The Bengals and Jaguars will each have more than one win at this point as well.
Oh, I will also do that if the Cowgirls score 38 points against the Eagles. They won't score that against them in both games combined. You heard it here first.
