View Full Version : Does the 360 discolour discs?

I had this come up when I traded in Madden 07 360 the other night.

The guy said there was discolouration on the disc, even though I only played it twice.

Could it be my 360 that's doing that, and if so, does it mean it's defective?

I've never noticed any discoloration of any of my games.

Hmm, maybe it's just mine then... If that's the case, am I hosed as far as getting it repaired? I can't remember when I bought it. I just remember I bought it in my hometown Target some months back.

You could try taking it back to Target and ask to exchange it for another copy of Madden. Then you would have a non-discoloured disc to trade in. Or, you could go somewhere else to try and trade it in. Or, just go back to the same store and try to trade it in when someone else is working.

Edited to add: Oops, you were talking about the actual X-Box. I have no clue. Is it still under any type or warranty?

Oh I meant I got the 360 at Target. :)

Madden I already traded in to a local game store, but the discoloured disc after just two plays and another lockup on NCAA 2K6 (college hoops) made me wonder if something's with the 360 I have.

Was it a kind of a scuff line? Regular XBOX used to do it from time to time on NCAA and Maddens, one cause of dirty or damaged disk errors. In those cases a disk cleaning device would work.
