View Full Version : To suspend (in TCY,) or not to suspend...

I have a situation in TCY I have never had before...

I had a few lean recruiting years in the secondary. I just finally got two good looking freshmen. One I redshirted (he's not ready to take the field at all,) the other is my third corner. Next season I only have these two corners (so far.)

Now the problem came up that this redshirted freshman "was caught committing a serious violation of team rules." Normally I would just suspend him, but next year I need to have him and don't really want to risk him jumping ship. I've never had a redshirted player screw up before... Would not suspending him really have that much of an impact on the team? (We've got a 16 game winning streak going.) I mean, he is redshirted after all...

I wouldn't suspend him if he looks really good. Don't want to waste a year of his eligibility if he have limited options.

Look the other way and get rid of his school-sanctioned Escalade as punishment instead.

Thanks... (Although I don't know if taking advice on player behavior from a Raiders fan is a smart move...) :D

I never suspend players in TCY. I always thought the key was to be consistent--either be strict always or never suspend them. I don't know how much of a difference it makes.

I love TCY. I hope there's a TCY 2 someday.

I definitely play favorites with my suspensions. If it's a starter, or a guy I plan on starting next year, I look the other way. Everybody else gets the suspension.
