They hate Fox Sports and anyone who plays on it. Unless I'm confusing coverage, they had a line-up of the 'three best' quarterback performances of the day - Ainge, Quinn, and Booty, all of whom had lower percentages of completions for fewer yards than Ben Olson. Annoying.

In ESPN's defense, I think all of those QBs were playing better defenses than Olson (not sure Arkansas's is better, but pretty sure on Tennessee, and I know for sure on GA Tech). Still, you know ESPN only give love to teams on the West Coast if they are considered top notch. So no one in the Pac 10 is likely to get any love if "USC" isn't a part of the information under the bio.

Booty's stats were almost as good as Olson's and he played a better defense than Utah.

Ainge played 2.3 quarters against a PAC-10 team that's better than UCLA.

It's more deeper than Fox Sports. For things like that ESPN's criteria will be to only recognize players fo whom they have film AND who wasn't playing on a competing network. In addition to eliminating performances on Fox, that will eliminate anybody who didn't play on TV or played on a local network that ESPN doesn't monitor.
