I just got an e-mail from my satellite TV provider that they will be showing NFL football this season.

This week I will have the following games

Dolphins-Steelers
Cowboys-Jaguars
Colts-Giants
Vikings-Redskins
Chargers-Oakland

It will be a nice winter in Norway this year (with very little sleep).

I know this is no big deal for most people but when you only have been able to follow the games from a PC this is great news.

I used to be able to see the MNF games without an extra charge to the satellite provider, but this season I have to pay an extra $7 a month to get them. Bah.

Has it moved from Viasat Sport? I just checked their site and couldn't find any references to NFL...

All the games appear to be on Viasat Sport 3 now.

I get no live NFL game over here in France. Sometime, we get the Monday Night game a few days later...

We have had MNF on Viasat for a few years now but I was afraid they had lost the contract when it moved to ESPN this year because all references to NFL football were removed from the homepage.

But apparently they are back with two games each Sunday and then MNF.

Hey, I understand how big of a deal it is. Hope you enjoy it. What sort of time difference do you have to deal with - like what time of day will the games be shown there?

Australia gets at least 3 live games a week on cable/satellite TV. The games are on here in the morning - but that means I'm "usually" at work then.

The first game on Sunday starts around 22 and the second game and the MNF game start at 2 in the night. It works out perfectly. I get up at 2 to watch the MNF game and when it over around 6 its time to wake up the family and get them ready for school and work.

That's just terrible.. no one watches that channel and I don't want to pay extra for it... just like them to spread out quality programming on three channels and mix it up with the most uninteresting sports you could think of..

Viasat Sport 1: Golf, Soccer, Baseball, Sailing, Golf, Golf
Viasat Sport 2: Soccer, Soccer, Soccer, Soccer
Viasat Sport 3: Boxing, Boxing, NFL, Motorsports, Boxing

Why can't they have an all US-sports channel? There is a European station called NASN, but ComHem won't grab it.. probably because it would mean they'd lose Viasat-subscribers..

This season it looks like we'll get one of the 3:00 PM ET games live on sunday, and the monday night live also. Not great, but not bad either. I wish Sky would include NASN in the bouquet...
