They've done terrorist, mentally handicapped, "Latino Heat" is pretty stereotyped, degrade women... I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton of things... two black guys that are criminals seems to fit in with everything else.

That doesn't make it right, i'm just sayin' it's not out of character.

It has potential as a comedy team. I think its making fun of sterotypes more than anything else. They're basically trying to do a Wayans Brothers team.

The turban gimmick has been done to death for, I dunno, 30 years now.

As for the crackheads, I think that'd probably hit a little too close to home for too many wrestlers to be comfortable territory ;)

They did try a "modern" version of the gimmick, with a guy who ranted and raved about how Americans were racists towards arab-americans. But, that gimmick died a sudden death when the character was "rescued" in one match by 5 masked guys who looked like terrorists, who then carried out the character's unconcious manager martyr-style. Problem was, this aired the day of the UK subway bombings, and UPN has banned the character ever since.

That was the best Grumpy Old Man ever, especially since Dana Carvey couldn't help but laugh during it.
