If you didn't know the NFL had scheduled Denver vs Pittsburgh to open the season on thursday night. But, people in Denver wanted no part of the defending Super Bowl champions. I guess the Broncos, like their Div 1 counterparts the CU Buffalos, wanted to face off against a Div 2 school.:D

Is coach Shanahan just scared? What do you do when not even your head coach has any faith in your team?

A tough schedule

Denver coach Mike Shanahan successfully lobbied the NFL from scheduling the Broncos for the opener tomorrow in Heinz Field, citing it as unfair because his team's final exhibition game was on the road Thursday night.

Het Mike just how many days in between games do you need to prepare during the regular??? LOSER!!!

Yeah, Pittsburgh is soooooooo SCARY!!!!!!!!!
They have a shitty QB. No heart, soul and power running because the Bus is gone. Best WR has a bad hammy, really their only WR. Lost trick play ability when WR left and went to Washington. A team with their Coach talking about leaving ( a distraction).
This team will be lucky to finish 8-8 this year.
Damn, last year they got bounces in the playoffs, put a goon on the DLine to take your rivals QB out, and have the refs cheat in the biggest game of the year.
GO STEELERS!!!! BAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHa

I also believe the Steelers are looking at an 8-8 season and out of the playoffs for the same reasons above.

So, why is Denver running away as fast as they can with their tail between their legs?

Miami last preseason game was also Thursday night, just like Denvers.

You are so right. They are terrible and the refs and goons are working overtime for them. 15-1 regular season two years ago and a Super Bowl last year.

Not sure what Shanny is worried about. The Broncos last year were lit up by Miami on the road and it didn't seem to impact them.

First of all, you're going about this in a really inflammatory way. Welcome to FOFC.

Anyway, Miami's last preseason game was at home. Shanahan's point was that the Broncos were on the road. Now, I don't particularly agree with Shanahan asking to have the game moved to another date, but maybe this kind of thing goes on more than we know. I don't think Shanahan is scared of the Steelers. The Broncos play in one of the NFL's toughest divisions, and I think it's silly that any NFL coach would be scared of any NFL team, even if they are a (diluted) Super Bowl championship squad.

I wouldn't be so sure this is his first time at FOFC with his posting style.

Worried about Porter in the national spotlight.

I changed my mind. Steelers will win 10 or 11 and make the playoffs.
