We are at the 2nd break in the $10 10 minute blinds tourney at PokerStars (#34146670). We started out with 1232, and are now down to 78. Money line was at 135, so we are in the 3rd $$$ level.
I'm sitting in 12th out of 78, with 41,760 in chips. Blinds after the break are at the $1K/$2K/$100 level. I've been catching some monster hands, so hopefully the run continues.
Feel free to stop by and follow along. I'm currently at table 102.

woot! Got Sigfried and Roy, was called all-in by a smaller stack. He had QJ. He got an open ended straight draw on the flop, but missed. Up to 3rd in chips.

Guy at the table wins a monster pot to go to a commanding lead in chips. Next hand I'm BB, and the pot is folded to me.
13th out of 47

Damn, I'm out.
I raise to 12000 on the button with AK. BB raises all in. He has AQ, and gets a Q on the flop. No K falls for me, and I'm out in 46th, good for $30.80.
I would have been chip lead if I had won that one.

Great opportunity for you. If it weren't for luck... :)

Hey Cartman I'm glad to see that you are doing well in these tourneys. I haven't been playing much at all, though not because of the new funding ban though. I did get a chance to fire up stars and play some limit last weekend and the tables were like a goldmine. Normally I can find a good table or two at stars but last saturday it seemed like every table I looked at was good. I'm curious if you are seeing that on the tourney side as well. Are there more donks getting their money in early with AJo?

I'm actually seeing the opposite. I'm seeing a lot better play early on than is normal for the tournaments. But I haven't been playing any tables lately, only tournaments.
That being said, there still are stupid plays early on. For example, on the Tuesday night tourney, I flopped a Q high straight, and I am put all-in. The guy raised me holding A3 suited, with only one of the suit on board, and having to get two cards (KQ) for an A high straight. Well, he got running hearts to knock me out.

I played at Stars right before the new legislation and it seemed on the tight side to me. I just do not have much incentive to play there on a regular basis without a bonus to clear. Right now, I am finishing old PN bonuses and then will be moving to likely WPEX.
