I usually access FOFC from work. This week, in response to some denial of service attacks we have had over the past few weeks, they installed some new spam/popup types of filters. Coincidentally, I have not been able to access FOFC since then -- it just times out.
My company is not restrictive about monitoring usage or blocking sites or anything like that -- as a matter of fact I am able to access virtually all of my other bookmarks, including a forum that uses the exact same vBulletin software, BoardGameGeek, sports sites and the like. I also looked in my Explorer security options to see if for some reason the site showed up on the few blocks that they have on there, which are mostly spyware/porn domains, but it's not there.
I suspect that it has something to do with the ads, and that they are triggering the popup filter and preventing access somehow (don't laugh, I am an experienced user but have little or no knowledge under the hood so bear with me). And though my company is cool, I can't really go to IS about not being able to access this site. :)
Any ideas are appreciated.
