I started to have mouse problems the last couple of days.
When I try to high light part of a word, it started grabbing the whole word.
Also it is dragging and dropping the high lighted part as if I am cutting and pasting.
Basically when I try to place the curser it is highlighting stuff instead.
I know this is normal for some programs, but is started doing it globally for me and is getting very frustrating.
What should take 5 min is taking 15 cause of this crap.
Any one have nay clue how to stop it?
The only thing I have installed lately is Firefox 2.0 and NWN 2.

Is this on a laptop (built in) mousepad? or separate mouse?
Have you tried a different mouse?

I guess you don't have a spare mouse? Sounds like one of the buttons is sticking.
Pick up a spare mouse!

Spare mouse does the same thing.
When I boot into Linux, I do not have the problem.
It is not sticky buttons.

I'm guessing that you're on WinXP.
Check this:
Control Panel>>Mouse>>ClickLock>>CheckBox OFF
What you're describing sounds a lot like what I think this ClickLock is supposed to do. (Or maybe not, damned if I've ever used it or understand exactly what it's for from the brief description given in the CP setting)

If it's always worked and now it's doing that, sounds like sometime is goofed up with your OS.
