As a Chicago-area resident, I'm so pumped for this game. It might be one of the funniest in some time.

Discuss.

Watching the pre-game and watching the other guys rag on T.O and Irvin's facial responses is quite enjoyable.

I'm looking forward to the actual game as well.

I need 28 points from Cedric Benson and Robbie Gould to make the playoffs.

I'm screwed.

Oh, and Go Bears!

I'm watching the ABC 7 pregame. Bru-tal.

I've never seen a more worried 10-2 fan base. Perhaps the 10-3 Colt fans feel the same way.

That may have been one of the best opening bits ever.

My skin crawls when Irvin is on, other than that, go Rams!!

I was talking about the Obama bit, not the crap around it.

What would make this night better: ESPN skipping the MNF theme music. It's only a bit less annoying than the SNF theme.

Nice unsportsmanlike on Jones.

The fuck. Gould doesn't miss.

Rams go up 7-0, they are not going away tonight. There is too much rah-rah stuff going on with the Rams.

Good thing for the Bears, the Rams cannot catch tonight.

Rams run away with this.

Grossskillsman throws at least 4 picks.

Now Rams up 7-0. You are right. I've seen this show before. This is the point where Grossman presses.

Oops. Hester bails Grossman out.

Rizon
12-11-2006, 08:29 PM
Woops, forgot about that Hester guy. Maybe Rams squeek by on this, and Grossnotalentman only throws 3+ picks.

Oops again, I got a drink and missed the missed EP. Bears 7-6.

Does Wilkins realize I am tied in fantasy game? No, what a dick!

I have a theory. The ref doesn't actually review the play. They simply rule the opposite of what Theismann says.

What Mike Tirico just said doesn't make much sense. If a QB is hit and let's say the ball goes backward or lateral, then how is that not a backwards pass and a fumble?

Or is this just another example of a stupid NFL rule?

Geez. Kind of demeaning to say about an NFL player, "He looks like the Peterson from Oklahoma."

As much as I'm loving this game, I wanna stab the announcers in the face.

Worst announcing team ever. I might load up some New Kids on the Block and listen to them instead.

Six for the year. NFL record, and the dude's just a rookie. Amazing.

Oh, and Go Bears!

Wernt Bear fans having a circle-j**k around Grossman earlier this year calling him the best QB in franchise history?

Probably some were saying that (though I doubt any were masturbating as they said it). That kind of thing probably happens to all teams that get taken over by a new young quarterback, who starts out playing great.

Anyway, in response to my other post, Benson and Gould did not combine for 30 points. Surprise! Now, the guy who beat me wins the division, and goes to the playoffs instead, with this team:

Trent Green
Rex Grossman
Bruce Gradkowski

Edgerrin James
DeShaun Foster

Randy Moss
Marvin Harrison
Eddie Kennison
Roscoe Parrish

Tony Gonzalez
Jeremy Shockey

Raiders D
Redskins D

Rian Lindell
Neil Rackers

I guess it's my own fault, since I couldn't beat him. But let's not talk about me..

Are we really to think that it's that hard to come up with just an average sounding booth? Or that people on this planet enjoy the shit espn has in the booth for mnf now?

Nothing better than hearing Jim Belushi scream "Go! Go! Yeeesssss!" when Hester scored.

Nice.

You understand of course, "best QB in franchise history" doesn't mean a whole lot in Chicago.

Take away Hester's returns and this is a close game. The Rams played it close other than that. For an offense that was struggling to hang 27 points on the Bears should be cause for concern.

I just don't see how Chicago makes the Super Bowl (even with Home Field) unless the Special Teams and Defense continue to score points for them.

And the NFC is not that strong.. Scary thought.

thinking about the Bears superbowl chances, I started wondering what the lowest QB rating was for a team that made it. looking over the past 10 years or so, it seems the QBs for those teams had higher ratings then Grossman's crappy ass 75.x
