I have never been a fan of the kids but still hate to see it happen.

It has been a tough week in the NHL with this and Habs GM (and Hall of Famer) Bob Gainey's daughter being lost at sea after being washed overboard by a large wave.

I suspected he was lacking in testicular fortitude.
Ok, sorry about that. As a Bruins fan, I hope he recovers. As a Badgers fan, I hope he suffers. But as a human being, I not only hope he recovers, but I hope he is able to lead a full life off the ice.

Ditto... first reaction was "Good, he always has been and always will be a scumbag". Then I wisened up and I now wish him a speedy recovery.

Don't forget the Bondra incident...
(he was jetisoned to the Hawks to play)

Win a title and still act like a juvenile, classy.

Why all the Kessel hate?
Because he is from the Madison, WI area and he joined the Gophers so he could play with his friends. Guess I should go snag on Joey Bianchi next time I see him at BIG.

BTW, how do you like Johnny Pohl, I'm amazed the guy is in the NHL to tell you the truth.

Maurice loves him. I have no idea why at this point. You or I could take 15 minutes of ice time and never score, too.

He changed his mind at the last possible second, after making promises to Ryan Suter and Barry Alvarez, among others, about where he was going to play hockey.
Of course, he only played one year, and the Badgers won the championship that year, but there's hard feelings in Badger nation to him. The Bruins really messed up my life by drafting him. Things are supposed to be simple, you know?

I'm surprised he's still alive, his freshman year at Minnesota he continually got knocked on his ass cause he just could not keep his head up. Got better though and was a pretty good college player as a Senior, but still don't think he's NHL material.

Cause you can't get over the fact a 18yo might change his mind? Play with his friends? Go to the school where his girlfriend was going? Get over it.

One of us in this thread is being sincere about wishing somebody well in their recovery from cancer, and about my own feelings as I have watched that person develop in their career, and the other is just being a child. I'm not stooping to your level, not in this thread. If you start a thread titled "nyah nyah Kessel was a Gopher" I might respond to your taunts there. But this thread is not about that. So don't be a troll, and grow up.

No, being sincere would have just said I hope he recovers or just ignoring the thread, you are being a child by adding the part about the Badger fan in you hope he suffers.
I could give a fuck less where he went to school, as I have told you before I know several people with connections to the Badger program and I could care less where they went to school to play hockey, I'm just glad that they got a chance to play major college hockey and did Minnesota Hockey proud by playing at that level.

Ah, well, it's not my fault that you don't know how to read and think that you get to decide what it means for everybody else to be sincere. You should just do everybody a favor and never address me again.

Oh, I know how to read backhanded compliments just fine.
I'll address you whenever I feel like it, don't like me, put me on ignore, though with the threads I post in, you'll never have to see my posts until the BADgers are good again.

People take their college hockey shit seriously.
BTW, how do you like Johnny Pohl, I'm amazed the guy is in the NHL to tell you the truth.
Pohl is a hard worker...so Maurice loves him....but in all honesty he does'nt have the skating ability to keep up in the league. Now having said that....Maurice did have him on the PP the other day against Tampa...so what do i know??

I would say most the country doesn't take their college hockey shit seriously enough.
