Yep, I joined the masses and created a blog. Check it out if you're ever just bored and bumming around online:

http://tutjer.blogspot.com/

Generally speaking, my blogs are usually humor attempts based on real-life experiences. Sometimes those experiences don't need any embellishment and carry their weights on their own; sometimes I trick them up a bit. Either way, I'm not splitting atoms over there, but hopefully adding some entertainment value if nothing else.

I read an article in the paper recently about a woman who turned her blog into a book deal, so I figured, what the hell, I'll try to publicize my blog a bit more. I've kept it relatively private up until now, but the feedback I've gotten has been positive, and some of that was even from strangers and not my friends! Maybe I'm hoping the Mil Millington, David Sedaris, or Aaron Karo in me will come out once and for all... Done and done...

I hope to get on a regular schedule and post entries on Thursdays. Maybe not every Thursday just b/c of time constraints, but if I DO post, it will be on a Thursday, let's put it that way.

Thanks.

Just had a look at it. Two points of feedback:

Your posts are a little long winded. Unless you've got exceptional stuff to share, cut out everything but the really good stuff, and keep it brief. Blogs work best when you can read them quickly.
Why do I have to click to read every earlier post? Have like 10 posts per page. Makes it easier for a regular reader to catch up if they've missed a few days worth. Of course, this works best if you follow the earlier point.Good luck with it. I'll add it to my regular rotation.

Speaking of shameless plugs for blogs... I've added one myself for just putzing around, writing whatever really comes to mind:

Are you kidding? Seeing as how there are hardly any other readers over there, SportsDigs.com is both a forum and a blog, in a manner of speaking.

Well I guess it's been awhile since anyone here at FOFC started a new blog. I'm going to resurrect this thread and suggest you guys check out my new blog, which I started back in January but only really started getting serious about recently. I only have a couple of posts but I'm pretty happy about my most recent one, a look at my favorite finalist sites in the Webware 100. Check it out!

sami, your blog is very clean and appealing to the eyes, first thing i noticed. you also have a nice, subtle sense of humor to your blog... you aren't forcing jokes, and it isn't a snoozefest either. also, that is a very informative last post! didn't know about a lot of those applications.
