Amazon (affiliate I guess) has it for $80. My NES/SNES still get a little play (kids mainly), but the NES in particular isn't doing so well. Something like this that renews the hardware (though some cartridges are probably also a bit dirty at the very least) and consolidates things - way too many controllers and wires lying about - would be pretty sweet.

That wiki entry is it.

I think Game Craze had them for $60. I don't know if Game Craze is nationwide tho...

Working on pics...

Do these things work? I know a lot of the old original systems, like on ebay and the such, are advertised as having a new 72 pin connector, or whatever it's called, to prevent the games from blinking. Is that an issue with this Twin device?

Blinking?

I'm having a blast with Super Tecmo Bowl and Super Ceasers Palace right now...

Blinking is the blue screen effect that your nes got, when you had to blow on the games to get them to work. I would assume this thing works like a champ.

Yeah, I'm not having that issue at all.

A lot of these don't have issues with blinking but why I haven't jumped on one personally is because some games have issues as the emulation is not perfect. The biggest "offender" is almost always SMB 3 as they did some funky programming to get that game to do the magic it does on the NES and there are a lot of those fake NES's which mess up the sound or even the onscreen layering so the game is a pretty different experience.

Personally, if you want NES and SNES games, put down the $80 for a top loading NES and the ~$30 for an SNES and do it that way.

Or just buy mario All Stars for the SNES. Probably a ton of money, but it has 1/2/3 on it.

Actually, it's not too bad- you can get the copy with World included (it was kindof rare, included with some later SNES sets) for ~$30. Still, they don't quite feel the same
