Yes, I watch this show. And yes, for some reason, I absolutely love it. Maybe it's the (outer, not inner) geek in me that empathizes with the guys on the show, or maybe it's just that I like to laugh at stupid hot chicks...either way, I'll be watching. Honestly, I thought season 2, in particular, was a good show because it seemed to go beyond the typical trashy moments of reality TV and involved more of an emphasis on the changes the people went through. I take it all with a grain of salt because it IS reality TV, after all, but some of the guys, in particular, really seemed to have learned something and made some positive changes in their lives because of their experience on the show. Or maybe they're all good actors. In any event, I found it entertaining.
Season 3 starts on Wednesday night on the CW at 8pm EST. A pic of the new cast is at the wikipedia entry for the show (the chicks are in swimsuits, so I'm not posting it here). But here's the little bio info they have:

Cannot wait for Season 3.
The trick to being able to enjoy your TV viewing when you're in a relationship is to find a show like this that you actually like. The girl thinks you're sucking it up and watching a show with her, when deep down you are enjoying the hell out of it. This frees you up to watch other things, guilt-free.

Believe me, I love it. And the blonde from last season (Sarah?) who was Wes' partner I think, was one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen on TV.
But the guys are fucking hilarious too.

comparing the promo pictures alone on the wikipedia page, this looks like the worst seson as far as pure looks of the women. I like the show though, I'll be watching.
Going to cwtv.com and finding the cast page though, is definitely worth it(actually surely its safe... hxxp://cwtv.com/shows/beauty-and-the-geek/cast)
The comic geek, Mario: "I have a tattoo of a Nintendo control on my arm."
Bikini Model Cecille: "I want to host my own TV travel show and I want to rescue animals and bring them to my farm."
MIT Grad Matt: "I won the 2004 Pi Recitation Contest at M.I.T., with 180 digits. I have four pet fish that live in Grey Goose bottles.""
Star Wars singer Nate: "I am the lead singer of a rock band called 'So Long Princess,' and all of our songs are about 'Star Wars.'"
Harvard Grad Scooter: "I have spent five years developing my own personal popcorn recipe with four oils, spices and honey."

I love this show...I watched it last night and thought they actually have a good group of people this year. I'm glad that Tori chick is gone, she was irritating the crap out of with her "poor me" attitude.
I think the girls play up their "dumb" image at first, because unfortunately, that is how they have gotten through most of their life - but once they kind of get to know the guys, they start to feel comfortable and let their guard down a bit.
Anyway, should be a good season :)

And BTW, the fact that all 7 guys thought that "booty" was pirate's treasure...you can't make that kind of UIC up.
I'm also glad that first chick got kicked off. She was a whiny bitch. I'm torn on Cecille, who I think is extraodinarily ugly for a "hot chick," but whose partner seems to have potential like the guy who won it all last year (was it Josh?). She's not only ugly, but apparently is enjoying toying with guys she knows will fall all over her. I guess they needed someone like that for this show, since the sex/romance thing has largely been absent from the previous shows (although I think a potential couple came out of last year's). But no one as openly slutty as this chick, to my knowledge.

Thank God for DVR's. I don't have to even bother remembering anymore. Also, I can reclaim the 20 minutes out of every hour that I previously lost to commercials.

This was the first show I set on our DVR when we got it a couple of weeks ago. And I'm pretty sure I'll be going to the gym tonight, so I'll have to watch it later as well.
But for everyone else...

I really like Nate, he seems the most well-adjusted of the guys and actually has some potential (which is why, I'm sure, he's got a beard and looks ridiculously scraggly, so when they do the makeover next week, his transformation will be "shocking!"). However, I cannot express in words how revolting his partner Cecille is in every conceivable way. She's a skank, she's stupid, she's immature, she probably thinks Paris Hilton is the definition of hot and what guys want. And then there's the fact that she's got an ugly, ugly face.
I'm hoping for one of those "twists" where there's a change in partners or something, because I'd like to see Nate continue on in the game, but I don't think he's going to last very long with that ho by his side.

OK, we watched this week's episode last night. I have to say that although the show is still fairly entertaining, the chicks on this show are completely ruining it for me. I'm seeing some parallels between what's going on with this show and the issues we've been discussing in the AI thread - the show is kinda missing the point and it's not as much fun to watch.
The whole point here is that some dumb bimbos and some socially inept geeks are supposed to learn from each other to appreciate each other's differences and learn that they aren't so different after all. And basically what we're getting is a set of "geeks" who understand that and are getting along and playing nice with each other, and a bunch of immature bitches who not only are stupid, but act like 6th grade cheerleaders - forming cliques, acting aloof, being catty, etc.
That Jenny chick just joined Cecille as the biggest bitches in the house. Her cat fight with the remaining brunette - in which she chastised the brunette for playing a geeky game like chess - proved how she has taken nothing from the game. If/when she leaves the show and gives that "I have learned so much" speech, I think I'm going to throw up.

Agree completely. Last season, after some initial weirdness, the girls were really fun. These bitches suck.

As well as the whole, "Because I'm cooler than you routine." What is it with putting people in a dorm-like atmosphere and their immediate need to re-live high school? I think it's been about 20 years since I last used the term "cool" when referring to a friend or foe.

The irony is that Jenny has quite clearly fallen for Nate (as demonstrated by her tirade against Mike for wanting to put Nate's team up for eviction), yet she still insists on acting like the type of person who would set up a fake date with someone like Nate just to lead him on, crush his will to live, and then laugh about what she did with her friends while eating a pint of Ben & Jerry's and painting her toenails.

I'm not sure what happen with this year's crop of girls. The guys may be the best group of guys that they've had on the series. The girls are quite supportive of the guys in general, but terribly nasty to each other. At some level, I think the girls, who are conditioned to think that grouping together and attacking others = acceptance or 'coolness', are reverting to their old behavior.
I think that it's a good example that some people, even when put in a position to learn from others, don't always take advantage of that learning opportunity. They'd have to leave what they consider their comfort zone in order to do that and some people simply aren't able to do that. It's a sad commentary on the behavior of these people.
I was hoping the rest of the girls would improve their behavior now that the brunettes that they targeted were gone, but from the clips from next week's show, it appears that Nate's girl just turns her venom towards the guy that nominated them this week.

I wish they did what they did last year - have one challenge where they allow teams to be switched up. It's probably too late at this point to do it, but I'm torn between wanting Nate around and wishing Cecille would be sent off in an air balloon bound for Saturn. I've never seen a chick who insists she's such a hottie have a mustache, but she's got the John Waters Starter Kit.

Having lived for a year in John Waters' home town of Baltimore, that is funny on so many levels. He must wax the bottom half of his upper lip to keep that moustache so perfect.

Actually, she's got his bottom half. Her's is along the edge of the lip. It looks awful, especially when combined with her man-like chiseled facial features. She's hideous.

I am happy that one of the girls has a crush on one of the guys. Having said that, Jennylee is an awful person and I'm starting to have a different theory on it. I think her crush is a bit of a "Let me try this new toy!" mentality.

Well, that was about as satisfying an end to that show as we could hope for. Cecille gets embarrassed on national TV for yet another week - with a recap that's sure to focus mostly on her next week - and Nate proves what a great guy he is and that he has the proper perspective on life. In fact, most of the people came across pretty well in the end, with the non-factors barely getting any airtime (was Paio even BACK for the finale?). The Bobn Saget look-alike with the long neck, mouth hanging open, and general stupid look on his face once again played the idiot, mistaking Cecille's treatment of him as "help." Bizarre - she treated him like a pet and dressed him up like a girl...?
Jennylee has her issues, and I think part of her thing with Nate is clearly a curiosity factor, but I get the feeling there's more to it than that. I hope so, for his sake. The best thing for him would be to never see her again and take from the experience only positives, because if they tried to make something long-term out of it, she would eventually crush his soul and will to live.
I was hoping to see Nate in action with his Star Wars rock band, and he didn't disappoint. That was funny as shit.
Great show, looking forward to the recap, although it doesn't appear to have any live elements, which is disappointing, because I think the Cecille thing could be even more explosive if she was reacting to how she was portrayed on the show and the fact that Nate lobbied against them winning. We don't know whether she found out about that.

Dola.
The other thing I meant to mention is that last Friday night, I was pretty sure I had seen Cecille on 1 vs 100 as a Tropicana Girl. They quickly panned the mob and I saw her for a split second. It was the first time my new DVR rewind feature came in handy. :D Even when I paused on her, I still wasn't 100% sure, but she looked manly, so I was pretty sure it was her.
Then, last night, as they were studying, Nate mentioned that Cecille had won some Tropicana Girl contest in 2003. So I'm pretty sure that was her on 1 vs 100 on Friday night. I think she missed the question about why the chicken crossed the road.

Is it even possible for Cecille to realize how she's coming across?
I'm so glad Nate had his talk with each of the voters. It was my hope that the voters would get to pick a man and a woman, as opposed to a couple (as a surprise twist at the end). Even though that didn't occur, for the first time in a long time, I reality show had a satisfying ending.
I wonder, if people recognize Cecille on the street, is she going to get any negative backlash? She's a very ugly person.

She's a very ugly person.
In every conceivable way. If I were her parents, I'd be ashamed beyond belief. She took a semi-valid point about wanting to be herself and not being fake (although she even disproved that time and time again with her manipulation of people) and twisted it so that she completely ignored the fact that "being herself" was a terrible thing because of who she is as a person. That's the one thing no one came straight out and said to her - they danced around it and about how she's not learning anything from the show, but no one ever directly told her she is a horrible person and needs the lessons from the show more than anyone on the planet.
After watching her last night and then flipping over to ESPN and hearing the Hardaway comments, I kinda saw the two of them the same way - it was like they were trying to take credit for being honest, as if that should override what they were being honest about. I mean, I have no doubt Hitler was honest in expressing his beliefs, but that only gives you so much credit with people...!
