There are several head coaches who also call the offensive plays. Are they any head coaches (college or pro) who call the defensive plays for their team?

Greg Schiano calls the defensive sets at Rutgers, as he's also officially been the defensive coordinator for the past two seasons. Not only does it work well because he runs the defense so well, but it allows us to have an extra non-traditional coach, like our speed coach.

Speed coach? Easiest job in the world IMHO. Speed coach.

Take two hits, pop them in your mouth, wash it down with some gatorade and BAM you're up for the game.

They need a coach for this?

Bronco Mendenhall at BYU is also the DC...it may shift next season to Jamie Hill, the DB coach, but I don't know...
