Using the most recent FOF 2K7 purchase build, I went to release a player that's $200k salary, one year deal in Nilodor's 1960 roster file.

It tells me he'll count $100k against this year's cap... and $3,000,000 against next year's cap. :eek:

Can I cut him without the magic $3 mill. cap hit for next year popping up?

I did and it turned out to not have that effect.

I'll just attribute it to a roster thing, I suppose, though it's disconcerting seeing that (and indeed it cropped up in virtually all the releases I made).

Yeah at a guess the extremely low nature of the contracts somehow clocks the cap calculator or some such. Except in more technical sounding terms.
