Denver Broncos reserve tailback Damien Nash collapsed and died Saturday evening after an appearance in a charity basketball game in St. Louis.

The proceeds of the event were to benefit the Darris Nash Find A Heart Foundation, which raises money for heart transplant research. The foundation was created last month after Darris Nash, 25, the older brother of Damien Nash, received a heart transplant.

Damn. Just damn...

Rest in peace... :(

His brother just received a heart transplant and is 25. They believe it was a heart attack.

Well, from seeing that.. sounds as if the nash family had a history of heart problems.

Truely sad though.

Very sad. I was out with a couple of fellow Tiges fans when I saw the news on ESPN.

You would have thought that since his brother needed a heart transplant that they would have put Damien through exensive tests. Maybe they did and nothing came up. What a sad sequence of events for that family.

With the Tigers and Broncos, I'm sure he had extensive tests, at least I would like to believe that.
