Anyone help me here, or point me to where I can find a how to on using this ? I'm playing a game (TW 2004), and can grab some extra dough if I ...
"At offset 00021616 change the values to FF FF FF."
I can't figure it out, I've found the offset (no idea what that means); but it only shows me a "00" in the box, and just a "." in the box to the right. I'm confused as to how to change this.

Based on your screenshot, I think this quick walkthrough might be of help. The offset is just the location, within the file, of the data you are supposed to edit. Also...the 00 value is essentially telling you that you have nothing for a value. So if it is a matter of adding money to your game, inputting FFFF FFFF FFFFF FFFFF would be the highest value you could input.
I'm no expert with editing hex files by any means, so take my description with a grain of salt. Hope this helps a little.

thanks, I think I get it now - but unfortuneately; I have no idea what the location is. the one I was given was wrong; and don't think there is a "static" number; as the grows as played. Maybe on a fresh restart, but that offset number wasn't listed in a fresh restart.
Thanks again

Do you really need to cheat in TW to get extra money? One of my big complaints about that series of games is that after a few hours of play there is never anything left on which to spend money.

I guess I don't "need" to, but I'd like too. Not sure what version you have or if it makes a difference, but I have 2004. I seem to rack up attribute potentials waaay faster than money. IE - before moving out of the amateur ranks, I had to play the skins course (that paid most) 8 times to be able to pay for the attributes that I had earned. Was just boring.
I'd rather not worry about having to play extra games to be able to purchase things I've earned & just be able to fly through the game moving up as I earn it, rather than being stuck waiting until I have enough money.
