11 PM tonight will be the debut for this new series on FX.

For a new series that FX is advertising the crap out of, this seams a little late for a debut. They have 2 movies on tonight before The Riches. WTF?

Umm ... did you happen to look at the link you posted?

The show debuts at 10pm ... and apparently they'll repeat the same episode again at 11pm.

In my area it will be shown at 11PM and then again at 12AM. Which is 10PM West Coast time.

Take your VCR back to the stone age Gramps.:D

I have my DVR set to record it. 10:30-bedtime is Letterman time for me.

I can't imagine the show doing decent numbers this late at night. It is getting good reviews from most everyone.

FWIW, Tim Goodman likes this one: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2007/03/09/DDGJUOHK8117.DTL

It is a pretty long review...here is the last part of it.

Credit the casting on "The Riches" for giving the series an enormous boost. Both Izzard and Driver are phenomenal, but the three young actors more than hold their own.

There's much to love and gawk at in "The Riches," and one of the most underappreciated elements will certainly be the amazingly nuanced tone. At its core, "The Riches" is a comedy. It's breezy and sly and ridiculous. But the series shifts effortlessly into dramatic terrain and then back out again. You almost don't notice. That's both good writing and good acting. And the drama in "The Riches" is not derived merely from fear of being caught but also from the internal struggle of the characters to come to terms with their place in the wider world.

"The Riches" is yet another triumph for FX -- a wild ride with a view to gawk over.

I love the writing on this show.

Last weeks episode had me guessing as to why they are doing these things. Why did they have their youngest child hide from the Head Mistresss at the private school? Why did the writers have her put a rock in his briefcase. And, then by the end of the show you understand.

That welcome to the Firm speach was so painfull it seemed almost real.

I also really like the fact that they have lost their money. I do not like the mother's drug addiction problem though.

This is slowing replacing The Black Donnellys as our monday night show. We started off with watching the Donnellys and recording The Riches, but it's pretty much reversed now...

After an impressive line of critical and ratings hits including “The Shield,” “Nip/Tuck” and “Rescue Me,” FX seems to be suffering from HBO syndrome. It just can’t come up with a new hit that holds its audience after a big debut, and the problem may be with the shows’ flawed main characters.

They may simply be too off-putting to be interesting.

“The Riches” became FX’s latest new program to see substantial declines in its second outing, following a big second-week plunge for “Dirt” last winter and the generally disappointing “Thief” last year.

“Riches” averaged 2.82 million total viewers in its second episode last week, the week ended March 27, down 27 percent from the previous week’s 3.84 million.

Among adults 18-49, where “Riches” had FX’s second-best debut ever behind “Shield,” the Monday 10 p.m. program averaged 1.87 million, down 26 percent from 2.52 million for its premiere.

It's by no means a dog. It remains a top 40 show in total viewers and 18-49s, but it clearly won’t be top 10 as those previous FX hits.

I haven't watched the most recent episode, but watched all of the others..

Overall I'm enjoying it... but I'm having to suspend belief a little too much for my tastes which could hurt the show in the long run for me.

Agreed, but I find this easy enough to do when I'm watching off the DVR and can get comfortable enough with the premise of the show.

Yeah.. I think my problem is that this show, versus say Heroes, is trying to convince us that this is actually possible and is supposed to be at least psuedo realistic.. so there are certain things that just bother me...

Wife & I both wanted to watch the show but never had the time. Tonight we have taped the 5 episodes and will catch up before the 6th episode airs(damn no On Demand for FX).

It sounds like the first 3 episodes are great, next 2 kinda suck.....and we await the rest of the season to see how things fall out...
