Why do people still use the "OT:" sign to start their messages in this Off Topic forum? Isn't this a double negative?
An "OT:" thread in this Off Topic forum should be about FOF correct?

I do it for intentional ironic effect.
Other people do it to be like me.

This thread needs a spoiler tag
Spoiler tags are lame as hell

Some of us do it out of tradition, I suppose. Out of a sense of nostalgia, I never adopted the "POL" change, and always use the OT when I'm posting a thread that has a political undercurrent (or overcurrent).

It's kinda like signing your posts. Some people still do it (i.e. Frogman) - it is a force of habit leftover from the BBS days.

I was just curious if OT: had some immoral, hidden meaning around here.

Nope, some of us are just really old and have a hard time letting go of old habits.
