Spitting

Now I ain't talking lyrics here, boys and girls. I'm talkin about taking excess saliva from your mouth, and forcibly expunging it from your mouth. For some unknown reason, I thought about how I used to spit all the time, everywhere. Now, the only time I spit at all is when I'm brushing my teeth (duh) and when I'm sick.

I used to work with a guy who would constantly spit in the trashcan under his desk. Not just light little spits, but lung clearers. The kind of spit that could be considered lunch if he swallowed it.

Haha. I realize it's not pleasant for others. If there's no one that can see me, I'll do a quick spit in my trashcan without even making the sound. Otherwise I'll go to the washroom.

I used to spit all the time myself several years ago when I was smoking. Now, I never really spit like I used to when I was smoking. Related?

By the way, having never smoked, why are smokers constantly spitting?
