Windows Explorer questions

I am not sure why it is now doing it maybe some update from Microsoft added some under the hood feature but for whatever reason whenver I open a new window in Windows Explorer it is minimized. So I have to keep maximizing to make a window full screen. How do you set it so all windows open normally? This is very annoying thing about windows explorer 6. I tried explorer 7 but didn't care for it so much and have stuck with explorer 6.

If you are opening from a shortcut, you can check the shortcut properties (right-click on it, hit properties, then go to the shortcut tab) and make sure it is set to open maximized.
