well i was very proud of my QB so i figured i would share his story. I dont think he had the worst injury out there but it was a pretty rugged one and he came back and performed.

i drafted him myself number one overall and he was a complete stud. his current had built its way up to 99 over the years and he was having a hell of a career. then at the end of his 6th year he had ACL damage and i lost him for his entire 7th season.

he came back in his 8th season and didnt lose much if any on his red bars. that 8th season he led us to the Super Bowl win. he captured the player of the year, SB MVP, Off. player of the year, and first string QB all-league.

He finished with 4,496 yards, 66.9% completion rate, 44 TD's and 13 INT's to give him a QB rating of 111.6

i know a while back someone posted about players coming back from injuries and if anyone else has stories similar to this, go ahead and share them here.

I had one guy out for two whole seasons with ACL damage to the knee. He was a lineman, and made first-string all lineman the year he came back.

It is good to see the game is not one sided with player injuries. Most of my guys that have had ACLs come back as shells, if they come back at all.

I posted a while back about a player I had in FOF 2001. He had at least three 'career-ending' type injuries in his career, not counting the last one in the super bowl which effectively killed him.

He managed to bounce back from all of the injuries with moderate stat loss. At 40 or 41 years old he got the team back to the Super Bowl for the last time in his career and took another injury which pretty much took all his stats down to 0 (having started as near 100 in everything after his first training camp).

By far the most impressive career in my experience with the game, I don't know how he would have fared in FOF4 though.

Most of the guys with ACL tears on my teams come back, mostly alwatys wide receivers though. You can complain when a guy tears his ACl for 3 straight years. That is, he came back every year healthy and tore it again.

I had one offensive tackle who had a serious ligament injury (out for two years). He was a quality player with a big contract. I happened to have a high draft pick the year after the injury and picked up a guy to replace him. Problem was that he came back from the injury as a shell of his former self. I couldn't drop him because his contract was too big, I couldn't trade him for the same reason, and he complained if I didn't play him. GRRR!!! Oh the joys of managing.

I had a stud QB who was near maxed out in everything. His second year he had someting like 4000yds, 35td and 11int. Halfway through his second year he tore his ACL and when he came back the next season, he had dropped down to about 45. He played some that year, splitting time with another QB and put up average numbers, nowhere near what he once had. Now I have a new stud QB. Just hope my line can protect THIS one.
