What happened to Kato Saadllah (http://www.operationsports.com/fofc/showpost.php?p=67685&postcount=37)? This is not a dig, I'm actually genuinely interested.

Good question Flere. I haven't talked to him in I don't know how long. It's been probably 3 1/2 years at this point.

It's interesting to go back and read something you wrote 4+ years ago. I don't think I'd change much about that post, except for the last paragraph.

All this condemnation for Bush, and yet so little condemnation for Saddam Hussein. I don't think people who disagree with the necessity of regime change are idiots. I think they're people who'd rather see innocent children die a slow painful death from starvation instead of living long lives in a land of freedom.

Yeah, that last line makes me cringe. A belated apology for my O'Reillyesque hyperbole.

There were a lot of "strong" words used at that time. When I saw Flere's post, I took a quick trip back into the FOFC archive and read a few Iraq threads. Several about anti-war protesters were particularly harsh. It was funny reading the thoughts of Tarkus and mrskippy, though. They just said batshit crazy stuff with hyperbole and insults. Tarkus' thread about how anyone who believed Saddam didn't have WMD's was just a total idiot was particuarly amusing. And any skippy proposal was just weird. It was incredible the number of times people told me that I had no love for this country, hated America, and was pro-Saddam.

And I was glad to see again that my prediction that the war would inevitably cause an attack in NYC has been proven wrong.

No worries - it would have been interesting to see what his perspective is like now and all.
