MollyMurphy's mother ( my future mother in law) had a stress test for her heart on monday. She was then supposed to schedule a heart catheterzation when the test results came back. The doctor called her later that night and told her to go to the ER immeadietly. She got there last night where they gave her an EKG. She is scheduled now for the catheterzation tomorrow where we will find out if she needs open heart surgery.
We are happy she is in the hospital but the doctors reaction has us nervous. Right now we are staying in Cincinnati and her mom is in NJ so if we need to go we will but we are hoping for the best. Our wedding is in November and our only wish is for our famlies to be there and healthy.
I have leaned on this community for advice, humor, entertainment, news and as a really great time waster. I am now leaning on it for anyone who will offer their prayers and we thank you all in advance. God bless.

Sounds like they caught something before it got really bad. I would be pretty optimistic about that.
Definitely wishing you and yours the best.

It seems like we have had a number of these in the last few months. Just a reminder that life can really be a bitch sometimes.
Hopefully everything will go well. It would be wonderful if the surgery wasn't necessary, but at least she is being watched carefully while they figure it out.

Ditto that. Thoughts and prayers. I'm just across the river from you if you need someone to take care of a house/pet or anything if you have to leave quickly.

My prayers are with you and your family. The good news is that cardiac caths generally go better before someone has had a heart attack. Hopefully, they are catching this early.

I hope it all goes well, Lathum. I know the stress of hoping a sick family member will be able to make it to the wedding. All the best.

He said it well, so I'll just say I echo what he wrote.
You all will definitely be in my thoughts.

Wishing the best. But I also think it's good they might have caught something early, rather than later.

Best to you all. I agree with the sentiment that it's far better to do this before any event has happened.

Molly's mother is now in the hospital and it appears it is going to be a rough few weeks.
She was admited about a week ago and has since been transfered to Colombia Prespyteria which is one of the best hospitals on the east coast. They think she may have a virus of some kind and told her if they don't discover it that it could be fatal. This obviously has us shaken. They discovered last night she has an irregular heartbeat that is apparently caused by whatever is wrong.
Her father and sister seem very shaken and it seems the doctors are becoming nervous as well. We have decided to make the trip north to be with her. We are hoping our trip is unneccesary and we will spend our time there sitting around as she gets better.
I ask you all to keep Susan in your thoughts and pray for a full and quick recovery. Thank You.

Columbia Presb is an excellent hospital. God bless...
Is she from NY, or was she transfered from Ohio?
