I just donated the 2 i had in the garage and now today Ive decided to try a project that would call for the need of a monitor. Im going to try and use an old computer, a USB wifi receiver, my slingbox, and the monitor to get TV outside wihtout having to pay a monthly fee for another DirectTV box since it'll only be watched sporadicly. Any help?

probably, never used it before (successfully)...good suggestion though as I forgot about it.

I always see shit in this area being advertised as "free if you come pick it up."

edit: If you get one using my idea, feel free to rig up something for me to steal my neighbor's DTV Sunday Ticket signal as a reward :). Thanks.

I have a free 14" CRT that's way old you can have if you want to pay for shipping. BTW, my internet connection sucks (Damn you Time Warner!) and it's up only because I had an appointment today to get it fixed.

Ooops. 17" CRT. I can have my wife check to see how much it will cost to ship if you want.

I believe I have a 19inch and 20inch CRT that are sitting in my garage, both from Dell. Shipping would be a ton though.

Most thrift stores have a couple, since there are tons of people out there with old extra monitors that they don't know what to do with.

It's gonna be about $20 for Parcel Post through USPS.
