My book (http://www.amazon.com/Lucktown-Bryan-Penberthy/dp/0977718271/ref=sr_1_1/105-4541242-1009246?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1185140870&sr=8-1) has been released. :)
Some of you may remember me announcing the news of its winning the National Poetry Review Book Prize in this thread (http://www.operationsports.com/fofc/showthread.php?t=58847), which I'll echo here:
My first collection of poetry, Lucktown, has been named the winner of the National Poetry Review Book Prize, and was just published. The manuscript was a finalist for the T.S Eliot Prize for Poetry, an honorable mention in the Stevens Manuscript Competition, and a semi-finalist in for the Elixir Press Poetry Award. Many of the poems have been published or are forthcoming in journals including New Orleans Review, Crazyhorse, Poetry International, and The Midwest Quarterly, as well as online via Blackbird (http://www.blackbird.vcu.edu) and Verse Daily. (http://www.versedaily.org)
Lucktown is available for purchase online via Amazon (http://www.amazon.com). I will also be doing several readings throughout the country this fall, so perhaps I will get a chance to meet some of you in person. If you are interested in reading more about me or my work, please visit my website at www.losttimepoetry.com.
I want to thank the members of the community who have been supportive of me and my work throughout these many years -- I've been working on many of the poems in this collection since my earliest days here, and several of you have offered kind words and friendship. It's meant a lot, and I'm glad to be able to share this news with everyone. Thanks.
EDIT: And my poem "Bats" is Verse Daily's (http://www.versedaily.org) featured poem today. :)
