How many of each type of staff do I want to wind up employing?

Financially speaking, I have £152,290 left. This could wind up getting cut in half in the next few hours as I am trying to buy a passable goalie.

I wouldn't say more than one or two of each, and until you have an injury, I wouldn't hire any doctors. Once you get some financial backing and are able to fill the seats, you may consider hiring more at that time.

Interesting that you have Uhana Jagannathan. My first good youth pull was Dhandapani Jagannathan. Perhaps Uhana is his first cousin.:)

You have a good pair of wingers to build on in Seay and Dean is really nice. Both are young, too. Roger is your star with that solid playmaking and you might want to play him towards win or offensively.

I think the 3-5-2 fits you best. Sell off MacPherson possibly since his passing is lacking and buy yourself a second wingback with passable defense and inad or higher winger and you're set. It would be nice to snag a middie to replace Muirhead but first things first. Consider yourself pretty fortunate as well- you got three nice young building blocks, especially Dean and Roger.

The crowd of 5512 turning up at the Dysk today were greeted by some nasty showers of rain. Wowhawks started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Johnson - Kendall, Donovan, Hay - Dean, Muirhead, Roger, Millard, Seay - Abhay, Bridges.
Great1 tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. They fielded: Terres - Carter, Yarwood, Witner, Hawes - Laflin-Barker, Pellereau, Barclay, Duddalwar - Sandys, Tyler.

Jason Dean hit the ball just perfect in the 7:th minute and could score for Wowhawks with a fab long shot to 1 - 0. A speedy charge from the left side of the field put Wowhawks lead up with 2 - 0. Swayambhu Abhay finished that one off competently, firing from an acute angle. Wowhawks put their lead ahead another goal as Darren Millard struck home the 3 - 0 goal, after an attack from the left setting him up unmarked with the keeper. 26 minutes into the game Wowhawks were awarded a penalty that Claus Seay turned into 4 - 0 without a problem. The structure of the game started to change as Wowhawks decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone. A corner kick created great disorder in the penalty area, but at last Wowhawks´s Phil Roger was able to shove the ball in. 5-0. Stuart Hay slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. Swayambhu Abhay almost managed to score another goal for Wowhawks, but his header was tipped to a corner by the visitors goalie. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Anthony Muirhead squirmed himself through the central defense line in the 41st minute, asserting the lead to 6 - 0. Wowhawks appeared unsure on how to play. 6 - 0 was the half-time score. Wowhawks held the ball, with a clear 80 percent possession rate.

Wowhawks coach had an extra briefing during the break, and after that his players looked a lot more organized. Claus Seay struck a 30 metre free kick home in the 55:th minute. 7 - 0 for the home team. A speedy charge from the left side of the field put Wowhawks lead up with 8 - 0. Swayambhu Abhay finished that one off competently, firing from an acute angle. Wowhawks´s Claus Seay had an excellent opportunity in the 64:th minute, shooting on a through ball, but he missed the goal by miles! Wowhawks appeared unsure on how to play. Wowhawks held the ball, with a clear 82 percent possession rate.
The most dominating Wowhawks player was without a doubt Swayambhu Abhay. Anthony Muirhead on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Great1 player was without a doubt Vic Laflin-Barker. Nicky Yarwood on the other hand, had a terrible day.

I was bad. They were pathetic. What more needs saying? I’m a bit disappointed with Dean, but since I’m training wingers he should improve soon.

I think that our whole league just got its managers replaced. The top scorers chart has nobody with more than 3 goals, and only one person with even that many.

Not a great position, but I think I actually have a fair shot at fourth. Great1 won’t be holding on to it if this match is anything to go by, and SCFC managed a grand total of 9.5 stars in their last match. I have a tricky match next, away at Egg, but after that SCFC are coming to the Dysk for a match that might wind up deciding fourth place. My chances should also be significantly improved if I can find a marginally useful wingback to replace Kendall.

Do team spirit drops carry over between seasons? If not, I think I might wind up MOTSing the visit to Egg as I need at least a point from that to be sure of staying in the race for fourth.

SI - are you sure about Johnson? That would leave me without a backup keeper. Thanks for the advice, though. I've got my eye on a few possible wingbacks.

If you have cash, then hold onto Johnson. At least until you can find a 17-19yo inad keeper and then sell him. You might as well be training a youngster instead of an older guy.

Due to an all-day shower, 493 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at Oxford Crooks Arena._Oxford started off with a 5-3-2 lineup._The following players had been chosen: Spruce - Foster, Hallett, Anscombe, Frederic, Morariu - Jansson, Braddock, Keogh - Lindhlund, Hamor.
Wowhawks had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation._The following players had been chosen: Carn - Kendall, Donovan, Jagannathan - Williams, Muirhead, Roger, Millard, Hay - Abhay, Bridges.
In the games 24th minute Uhana Jagannathan almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a spectacular scissors shot just past the bar._Wowhawkss Stuart Hay got himself booked after a foul._Wowhawks took the lead in the games 27:th minute with 0 - 1 after some elegant plays down the middle. Darren Millard was the scorer._After 36 minutes of play Gary Hamor equalised for Oxford after an elegant attack from the right._The teams went for a half-time break at 1 - 1._This part of the game had been a standoff between the teams.
_Some beautiful plays on the left side of the field resulted in a 51st minute goal by Dirk Braddock for Oxford, putting them ahead 2 - 1._Wowhawks made a substitution in the 52nd minute. Darren Millard limped off the field and was replaced by Danny Ventulett._Wowhawks had obvious problems in finding their positions._Oxford put their lead ahead another goal as Dirk Braddock struck home the 3 - 1 goal, after an attack from the left setting him up unmarked with the keeper._Uffe Lindhlund of Oxford received a yellow card in the 63rd minute for unsportsmanlike behaviour._In the 66:th minute Martin 'Gudo' Jansson surprised the opponents with a 40 metre pass to Uffe Lindhlund who quite easily could settle the score to 4 - 1._The structure of the game started to change as Oxford decided to pull back and meet their opponents in the defensive zone._A bit later, a magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Oxford´s Cabot Anscombe putting the lead up to 5 - 1._Oxford put their lead ahead another goal as Gary Hamor struck home the 6 - 1 goal, after an attack from the left setting him up unmarked with the keeper._The fortyfive minutes were dominated by Oxford, with an impressive 69 percent possession of the ball.

My defense and attack were both better than on Saturday; my midfield was just as good. However, while I was playing one of my own division’s weaker teams on Saturday, today I was playing against the reserves of a Division V team that looks like it might have a real shot at winning promotion next season. I was outclassed.
