If a qb is traded mid-season, do they always have seasonal rust? Is this a way to illustrate learning a new offense?

I don't believe you'll ever see rust except what's been accumulated from lack of preseason play.

In a recent NAFL trade it appeared to come out of nowhere. I haven't looked into whether it happens every time a QB is traded during the season, but it does happen. I believe his rust was "significant".

Its a nice touch and yes, its to simulate learning a new offense I imagine. I'd actually like to see this expanded, maybe he loses formations or something. I know cohesion will also drop, but I'm not sure how much infleunce that really has.

Heh. I've never seen that, but then again I don't think I've ever traded a QB during the regular season.

If you wanted to that, then you'd also have to penalize him when he gets a new offensive coordinator.

In the CFL, I traded for Donnie Lowe Qb and he played 3 games before the trade. He had significant rust, it must be learning a new system. Great addition to the game.
