I am wishing they lulled out those butt ugly uniforms earlier this season. Or very glad to see how Donovan is responding to playing with the brace off.

Miami ties it at 7 only to have the Jets return the ensuing kickoff for a TD. Boy, I sure wish we had a guy who could do that. Maybe we should look for one in the next draft.

Herm Edwards is a first class moron.

He's challenging the ruling on the field saying his QB's arm went forward on a pass attempt.

Yeah, Herm, it did. And the ball also went three yards behind him. What an idiot.

The Chargers are getting no pressure on Brett Favre and he's picking them apart even with no running game. 10-7 Packers.

Vikings get a trick play for a TD. Clear catch. Simply not a question and not really that close. The ref rules incomplete. It'll be ruled a TD and the Vikings will take a 14-0 lead in KC.

And that ref should be fined for idiocy.

OK, every NFL official in the KC game should lose their job. Right now. They shouldn't even wait until halftime. Get em off the field and get a college crew in there. Minnesota was simply screwed out of six points on a ccall that was both obvious on the filed and in the replay booth.

The Vikings will get an apology letter from the NFL this week. Let's hope they don't have a loss because of the call to go with it.

10-0 Vikings.

WHO THE HELL is this idiot in the Steelers game? "I'll give him a nickname! Prove 'Em Wrong Willie! Prove 'Em Wrong Willie!" Minnesota being forced to waste another challenge on a call the refs should have seen. Ball came out after it hit the ground. If they lose this challenge, they should just walk off the field and there should be checks to see if the crooked NBA ref made calls to any of these guys.

FYI...something I thought of re:spygate

we can assume this isn't the first year the pats have done this. And mangini was the defensive coach of the pats in the pats.

so how much of HIS success is related to the spygate-stuff? he could be totally mediocre without that knowledge for all we know.

just seems stupid of him to bite the hand that fed him and raise that question (although surprisingly I haven't heard the talking heads mention any of that).

I keep waiting for Spygate to die down. And yet the Patriots fans bring it up every chance they get. Even when it has nothing to do with the game at hand. FYI, this points been brought up on pretty much every show or website I've visited on the subject. Mangini is now the coach of the Jets and took a team to the playoffs in his first year. He doesn't need the Patriots resume anymore. He's going to do what's in the best interest of his team. Punishment has been handed down. . . let it go . .

Chiefs get a FG. 10-3 Vikings.

Hey, don't worry about it. As I'm such a huge Patriots hater, I'm happy the refs missed that call. And the Chiefs can't beat anyone anyway.

Both of those replays were inexcuseable misses by the refs. They don't even have the excuse of live speed action to fall back on. The EPL suspended a ref for a week for missing a call in a game. The two main refs in charge of this should get at least that, if not more.

Dammit. Just as I think my fantasy team is going to take a decent lead, Westbrook doesn't go in and Williams goes 91 back the other way to give The Premature Ghost of Beano Cook a 50-47 lead and we're not even halfway into some of the first games.

Honestly, I don't think it would be any different with Marty than right now. They would have had a new OC calling plays in Clarence Shelmon and either Marty's brother or Ted Cottrell as the DC. If Cam and Wade stayed along with Marty then no doubt this team is 2-1 at worst. But there was going to be an adjustment period either way. I just hope they figure their shit out before it's too late (ala 2005).

Did Maroney send extra the tapes from NE to Mangini or something? Maroney runs for 33 yards on 4 carries to help get the ball to the Buffalo 3. Think he gets the TD carry? Of course not, they bring in heath evans (who loses a yard) and then throw on second down. Then, the next series, Maroney runs for 28 yards on 3 carries and gets tackled on the Buffalo 1. Belichik throws Brady twice (including one sack).

Jeez, Bill is like the Jon Voight Varsity Blues head coach who refuses to let his black RB get a TD ;) Forget tapegate, I think it's time for Jesse Jackson to visit the Pats on his treatment of Maroney ;)

Denver had no timeouts left because they wasted them with about 10 minutes left to go in the third quarter. They were inside the 10 and even a good punt puts Jax near FG range. It was a good call.

On the play in question, Cutler makes a perfect pass to Daniel Graham who drops the ball. Game over.

I liked the call.

Agreed with all on that Skins final series. On first down, instead of spiking it, they should have faked the spike and attempted a sneak, or a handoff. Just silly to kill the clock like that and waste a down when you've got 50 seconds to run 4 friggin plays.

Derrick Ward got ignored at the goalline this week as well. I really could have used some of those points, since I got destroyed by Curtis, and Bulger negatived me out.

So the 5 points from his catches was the key? The 230 yards and 3 TDs wasn't enough? :)

Well, there is that too. But those five points likely put me over the top.... ;)

the patriots do look very good, but I don't think they've played a playoff team yet. the chargers' defense doesn't look good at all, and phillip rivers is being exposed now that LT isn't going for 170 every game. the packers handled them today and it wasn't even as close as the score indicated.

I think betts would have scored on 4th down if he followed his block outside; he cut it inside for some reason and didn't even get close to the end zone. I don't understand why shockey doesn't get a lot more passes thrown to him; eli tends to lock in on burress like a rookie QB would.

this nbc thing with keith olbermann doing highlights is BRUTAL. the guy doesn't even like sports, let alone highlights.

Would it really be that hard to just outlaw the ninja timeouts right now?
