Stats History?

Does anyone know where I can find a website or an Excel document that has the all-time stats of the NFL? The reason I ask is that I have started a dynasty in 1980 and would like the stats up through 1979. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I think pro-football-reference.com would be your best bet. It has historical stats online and you can download the database in the data section.

You are a GENIUS!!! Thank you for leading me in that direction, that is sooooooo much easier that what I wa doing. I was on NFL.com/History and copying EVERY season from 1979 back to 1920 and pasting it into Excel and having to format and subtotal and a million other things and I was spending an hour on EACH stat, this way I can get all the stats I need and with a few clicks-BOOM- done. When I get done I will post it here in case anyone else wants the NFL stats up through 1979, thanks!

I got all the offensive stats that I need, Passing, Receiving, and Rushing. Now the problem is where can I find the other stats that I would like to have, FG, Punting, INT's? Any thoughts?

How are you getting this info into the game?

Right now I'm not putting it into the game. I am creating an Excel spreadsheet with the totals through 1979 then I will take the yearly stats and add them to that to create my own yearly Career Leaders in each category.
