After a forever of racking my brain as to a unique WW gaming experiece for me to run, I've been hashing out a new sort of game over the past two weeks, so toss me on teh list, and I can work on th details of the game over the next few months until my number is up.

We've been in a bit of a lull but that's seasonal. & so it's time for another game. I'm not sure that we'll be able to run any big games until after Labor Day. So I think it would make sense for a small game, or even two, to carry us through this week. RendeR has indicated he would need more people to run the game he wants, so if someone would like to step up and be willing to host a small game, assuming that there might be as few as 6 players, that would be great. If no one wants to run a game, I will gladly do so, but I'd really like to get a game going this week.

I'm not going to be able to run mine until the 29th. I sent Heinz a PM asking him what his timetable is, as he should definitely run his game if he will be set on either the 22nd or 29th (or in between).

If there isn't another person ready to run their game, then I'll push for the 29th as the kick-off for my game. The ruleset is basically wrapped, but I've got a monstrous work schedule next week which will slow down some of my pre-game stuff. So 10/6 works best for me, from a selfish perspective.

So we need a GM to host a small game as a bridge before the superheroes game (which will also feature a long Day 1). I'm putting sign-ups up, to get going, and will host it if no one else wants to, but someone else can certainly host the small game. If no one else has volunteered by tomorrow afternoon, I'll post details for the game.

Not completely certain yet but I may have to see if I can switch my name on the list. I may have to go to China for a couple weeks in November and than a week in Vegas (that one may not happen if the first one happens). I will let everyone know for certain as it gets closer. Of course, if each of the next two take roughly 2+ weeks to complete we'll be past that time frame and things will be okay.

Was just about to post that with 2 games before mine I should be okay as it shouldn't hit my turn until around Thanksgiving or the week after but now with CW not doing the next one this may change that idea. If CW doesn't do one I will need to see if pass will be able to switch with me.

I'm thinking of copycatting hoops, and having another game with secret identities (though if having a separate ID was a pain, or you just don't feel like doing it, it will be optional), and I'm just waiting for a PM response from either BK or hoops as to whether that is possible.

I could do the Dr. Who one I always wanted to do with time travel and various incarnations of the Dr. and his various friends, nemeses, etc. So if you need someone to GM, I can try to hack together some rules for that.

I have some ideas for what I'd run, some of them would require 15-20, some could work for any. Just want to keep things running.

For what it is worth, here are a couple of teasers for my next game:
1.) Way more simplistic than the comic book games I've run
2.) Theme is Matrix, which I can not believe has not been done by now.

Edit - I'm basically posting this as a block on someone else deciding to run a Matrix game before my work schedule relents enough for me to moderate :)

Well, the game I want to run is an RPG along the lines of The Dungeon (but very different). I actually think it will be a game that can be run alongside a WW game. It will have fewer players (teams of 4 - I'm thinking 12 players total, but could be 16 if there's enough interest).

I'll need some time to finish the ruleset though, so feel free to post a game EF.

I have finally finished my "Ender's Game" rule set. I can go anytime or just back on the list somewhere as needed. This game will be able to handle any number of players with a minimum of 8.

Note to GMs:

In the last few games some players have used more adult language. I have no problem with this (see WW: The Thing). However, my sensibilities are not yours. If a GM desires, I think it's perfectly reasonable to ask for a more PG rated game and for the players to respect that. I also think it's perfectly reasonable to have a more R rated game. Basically just a reminder that GMs can decide on the "adult" level of their games.

Well, I'm changing themes this time around but I hope that someone else runs a superhero game so I can play. Someone should just re-run my ruleset from the last game, actually, so I can concoct some "make a power" options :)

But what looked like it was going to be a tame game - at least by my standards - changed pretty drastically last week. I think I'm going back to another epic time-suck game when my turn does come around now that I've got a (new) co-mod lined up.

In all honesty I would have no issue jumping in and running a completely vanilla game for everyone so long as I could still my other game 3-5 games later. Would be a good chance to get used to GMing for myself and it seems it would be a chance to give some people what they want. I could come up with a rule set by Wednesday for a completely vanilla game if this is the route everyone wants to go.

EDIT-- Would also keep someone from being forced to shelve a game idea they have thought up in order to run a vanilla one.

I think a transformers game would be great fun and WW lends well to a type of game that transformers could give. I had one ready to go a while back myself, but ended up never running it because I took a break from GMing when a bunch of new players came around and the GM list got longer than like 15+ people.

I'm not planning on running my transformers WW game anymore though, so look forward to seeing yours.

Either if there is enough interest in a simple game, or if there is interest in a simple small game running around the sae time as the KWhit game, I'll throw my hat in the ring to GM it if there are no other takers.

Especially if KWhit's game is going to be a very time consuming game I think having a secondary simple game running at the same time is the way to go. I doubt that I will sign up for KWhit's game (not saying it wouldn't be a good game or anything, just not something for me to be honest- based on the thread which has been started).

You know, this is something that I've talked about in my game designs - trying to avoid some of the "conventional wisdom" play by creating rulesets that do not quite align with the simple game.

My assumption is that many of the players have somewhat locked in on the correct way to play seer, bodyguard, duke, brutal wolf, and cunning wolf. Those roles are in a heck of a lot of our games and they probably should be. So what I'll often do is put a little spin on them that makes them play out a bit differently.

I want people to have to think, rather than play on auto-pilot, when they are playing my games. Ideally that would lessen the "vet advantage" but I can see how the differences between games could be challenging to really find a groove.

Dubb's game seems like a simple game with twists enough to keep it interesting, but with enough of a regular game's mechanics for the rookies to play with some ability to comprehend what an intelligent play would be.
