So I'm having a bitch of a time getting into the Christmas spirit this year. Usually I'm all about Christmas, but this year it seems I really don't give much of a damn. The weird thing is that it's just not me. My wife is having the same problem. So are her co-workers. So are MY co-workers. Nobody seems to be able to get into that Christmasy mood.
It's got to be the fucking weather. For the past week it's been in the seventies or higher. Today's was was 83 degrees. EIGHTY FUCKING THREE! How the fuck am I supposed to get into the Christmas spirit when I'm wearing fucking shorts and sandals in fucking December?!?
*sigh*

Did I mention that 83 tied the record high, previously set in 1922? Or that the average high is 58...only a mere 25 degrees above normal.
Of course, the weather IS saving me money on the old electric bill. Not having to run the heater equals low ass bill...

A dude in my OOTP league went through all of our forum avatars and photoshopped something christmas related onto most of them. That's about all the Christmas Spirit I'm expecting(or wanting) this year. :D

I feel bad for Jeeber. I love snow.
I hate this rainy, grey, ceaseless bullshit weather I live in here.
I feel ya, buddy.

We went to the mall to look around last night. It was pretty empty considering the time of year. I think most people don't have that Christmas spirit this year...y'know, the true meaning of Christmas...getting presents.

I'm in the mood. My wife put up the lights on the house and the tree. I might have to give her some later.

All week it's been in the 30's with snow.
I would love for it to be 83 and warm right now.

What he said. I've lived in both, obviously. Snow is very pretty from when it starts up until it stops. Then it turns grey and is a giant mess if you have to drive in it. I love it when it's new and shiny and still get excited about when it snows. But I'd rather have Houston's weather over Kansas's any day.
That said, I'll miss tornado nights whenever I move.

Another bitch thing about snow: When I have to get up at the ass-crack of dawn to go to work, it doesn't help when it snows and the roads are bad that I have to waste another half hour of sleep to compensate for traffic being more slow than usual.

Woohoo! It's currently 39 outside and we might get some frozen precipitation overnight. Now THIS is what I'm talking about! :D

It's still 62 here in the Austin area, but it is supposed to drop down around 40 by midnight. 35 to 40 degrees with rain is the worst weather combination.

The weather pattern setting up right now is crazy. See the temp difference over such a small area:

I'm having the same problem, just can't seem to get into the whole spirit of Christmas this year. I also think it's due to the weather, my son wore shorts to school this morning! :( We are going shopping next weekend, hopefully that will help as I love picking out gifts for people and whatnot...til then, Bah Humbug.

I like going to work/school when it snows. There ends up being a lot less traffic; driving slightly slower in the snow with no traffic is way better to me than normal driving with lots of traffic (meaning you have to stop and start all the time).

Definitely agree. I try to be good about enjoying most facets of weather -- I love hot weather, I like snow, I don't even mind bitter cold, but I hate hate hate rain and especially cold rain.
