Gm Records Database is corrupted?

a couple of days ago my cousin ran into a problem when starting the game, it says "The General Managers records database has been corrupted." and shuts down. Ive downloaded the patch and ran it and it asked me to repair or remove. I removed it, then ran it again to reinstall. When we start the game, again we get the corruption warning. what do I need to do?
