I have a 802.11g wireless card in my desktop, it came installed along with a regular 10/100 ethernet card when I bought the machine last year. I've had the wireless adapter disabled but now that i've moved, i'm nowhere near the router/dsl modem and will need to use wireless. After enabling the wireless card my desktop freezes immediately, and on all subsequent reboots freezes on startup unless I go into safe mode and disable the wireless adapter again.
I don't even know what brand I have, other than in the Windows->System settings it says "802.11g Wireless LAN PCI Card"
Any suggestions? Is this a common/known problem(google seems to find tons of info on laptops but little on desktops)? The wireless router is a linksys router, and I can do whatever needed to get more info on the desktop if it helps.
TIA!
