A guess... Well, that's kind of how FOF2 worked... You only received offers from teams in the next "echelon" basicly. I would think that if you started with a bad team, and brought them to mediocrity, you would not get offers from the big name teams until you really did something great, such as a big bowl appearance. Just a guess though.

Actually, if you follow racing, almost all of the top openwheel drivers that are not in F1 are in the IRL now. The Unser, Andretti, and Foyt names are still racing there.

In yesterday's 500, you saw Helio Castroneves, Michael Andretti, Al Unser Jr, Kenny Brack, Gil de Ferran, Tony Kanaan, A.J. Foyt IV, Thomas Scheckter, Sam Hornish, Scott Sharp, and top rookies Scott Dixon and Dan Wheldon. You also had Robby Gordon and Jimmy Vasser from other circuits trying to win the greatest race of the year. There is also a Japanese contingent that gives the race an important international flare (Roger Yasukawa, Shinji Nakano, and Tora Takagi).

While it's still not back to the popularity that it had before the split, the IRL has already gone around the CART in terms of drivers and appeal to racing fans. The CART will die before the IRL does if they don't get back together (which could happen in the future). As for the speed of the cars, 230 mph is not that slow, in my opinion.

I have no idea who FishFan is, but he sure knows a lot about race cars!

It seems odd to me that GoldenEagle is coming out so strong against twothree (or for Anxiety). I can see being uneasy about his assertions, but I find it very strange that he jumped straight to voting against twothree.

As far as the big reveal is concerned, RealDeal came out with a big reveal that could easily have waited and got killed for it. Maybe twothree believes that we won't be dumb enough to make that mistake again so he is safe revealing himself. Of course he may be hiding in plain sight figuring we won't kill two (unprovoked) big reveals in a row.

I want to believe that Grey and GE are clean since the bodyguard didn't stop them, but I find GE's vehemence odd...

This post doesn't count.

The thing about Brady is that he's only been in the league for 5 years, a starter for 4 years ...and this is his 3rd time leading his team to the SuperBowl !
Imagine he wins another with a 3rd SuperBowl MVP title...

How 'bout them Tigers? I know they'll likely fall back under .500 by June at the latest, but if they can stay anywhere near .500 for the season...wow.

The Angels look a bit shaky to me. Colon is still...Colon, Ramon Ortiz needs a new place to work, Donnelly still isn't back from that freak broken nose/persistent bleeding thing, and Ben Weber looks absolutely lost out there. I guess their offense is still intact, but I just don't think they've got the pitching.

Hmm...

Looking over our roster, I can tell we have a challenge ahead of us. We return only two starters, rebounder and solid defender PF Moorer, and C Dean Martin who has a decent inside game and can rebound. Junior PG Michael Profit put up some big scoring numbers last year off the bench and should be a solid starter. Freshman SG Jack Jimerson is a great recruit and can really shoot the three, we should see some good play from him. If it all comes together, we should be able to improve on last year's horrid performance at least.

November 29th, 2007

PG Profit has come out on a tear, putting up 26 and 30 points in our two wins this month. He's got a natural feel for the game, just one look at a play in one of our meetings and he can go out there and execute. If only all our kids were like this, Coach wouldn't need an assistant! I have my hands full anyway just settling Jessie down, our wedding and honeymoon over the summer were great, but she isn't too happy about my constant moves. I think she'll really like San Francisco though, she's got a great job at a public relations firm.

End December, 2007

Another New Year's rolls around, and I think I'm cursed in December. My teams never seem to play well in this month. We finish 4-7 after starting the month 2-1. The only good news is Michael Profit, playing at SG, who is pouring in points at 19.8 per game. We're getting a lot of scoring support from Chris Pena at the point who's over 15 ppg and really hitting the threes. But they haven't been enough to overcome a lot of sloppy shooting in general and poor rebounding, except from center Martin. How can some of our stats be so good and yet our results so poor? Scheduling in part, we've had a couple of tough nuts on the schedule this month. Well, onward and upward into 2008.Happy new year, Peregrine!

I was born on October 23, 1969, so post 102369 =
no, I went to school about 20 miles east of here, on the mean streets of Hawley MN

Adding 1,000,000 to that gives:
Hmmm...as best as I can tell, there's no after-the-fact way to tell, if they haven't played a down yet. If they've played some, it is noted on the player card with the stats.

FYI, I probably won't post every single year. We went 6-6 (3-4) in 2020. Landed one transfer, a 49/70 (Fr) DT named Ted Mack, in the offseason. MTSU went 11-2 (8-0) and finished CPU-ranked #13. They seem to be opening up a wider and wider delta.
not quite as cool

Ya it's great having a WR that "Only plays when he feels like it," you must be very proud...

That thing is a little overblown... Yes he needs to know when to shut his mouth, but I can't think of one reciever that plays 100% every play. If it is a sweep to the right and he is on the left, he could go all out it would do nothing. I would rather have him save his energy for the next play when daunte throws a pick and we need someone to chase him down and make a tackle....but yeah, everyone does it, he was the only one dumb enough to say it...

Well, I'm glad everyone's had a good laugh at my expense. But I've made my point - there's a double-standard when it comes to bannings and suspensions around here. I guess if I've been around a few years and I have 10,000 + posts I can post an unpopular opinion without getting slapped. I can make personal attacks on other members and get away with it.

But if you're new, I guess you'd better make a few thousand comments in the dynasty or strategy forums before you try to mouth off here. Because only elitists are allowed to have their own opinion. The rest of you had better follow the other sheep around here if you want to keep on posting.Yawn.

That was the random post I got.

Harris made a mistake. He'll be drafted in the first round, though not in the first 15 picks. He has great athletic abilities and potential, though his disappointing performance this year will shy many teams away from going after him too early. His physical ability and talent won't let him slide out of the first round though.

If he had stayed at OU another year he'd just have to have a good year next year and he'd be a top 5 pick.

Ahem. Promise you won't think less of me:

Vanessa Carlton: Thousand Miles
Pet Shop Boys: West End Girls and a few others
Human League: Tell Me When
Boy Meets Girl: Waiting for a Star to Fall
Just about anything by ABBA

There might be a few more, if I picked my brain, but I think I've emasculated myself enough already. :)

What a Wuss

Not that I particularly want to see you die. You're just the most suspicious now. I'm hopeful that things will get clearer before the deadline.

Yikes.
