I haven't been on FOFC much this week due to travel, but when did our member title thresholds for posts change? I'm a grizzled vet again instead of coordinator.

Dola, what's weird is that Shorty is still a head coach with 11,795 posts but ISiddiqui is a coordinator with 11,917 posts and st. cronin is a coordinator with 14,206 posts.

You guys continue to operate under a mistaken impression of what the "mods" around here do. Let me give you an idea - VIRTUALLY NOTHING. Consider this a friendly PSA:

This is SD's board. We serve to alert SD to issues that he (or Ryan) needs to deal with, and mostly to act as a sounding board for decisions he makes, IF he wants our opinions. Occasionally, if something goes haywire and immediate action needs to be taken, someone will take action and then SD will deal with it when he gets a chance. Or, for little things like merging threads or fixing thread titles, we will step in.

But for stuff like this - I just looked in the mods forum and there's no mention of it that I can see. While we may have the tech ability to do things, none of us understands our "power" to include taking substantive actions that affect the board, except in emergency situations or where SD expressly tells us to. And none of us expects SD to tell us about or discuss with us every action he decides to take around here. As with virtually everything else, you'll have to ask him directly about this. The mods have not been, and likely will not be, involved. I wasn't even aware of this until I read this thread yesterday.

That's the deal, more or less. I feel like it's necessary to set everyone straight, because every time something happens around here, invariably people make snarky comments (not necessarily you, but in general) about the mods acting in secret and controlling the board like a bunch of f'in' elitists, and it just ain't so. SD is the Head F'in' Elitist In Charge. :D

Kysrup is correct, and I thought I made that clear the last time I posted about a mod decision. Blame me. There are a few times when I'm not around that quick action needs to be taken, and these guys do an excellent job of taking care of those. FOFC doesn't need a lot of modding in general, though. We don't really do much at all. There are months that no one does any real "modding." I'm fairly certain that the vast majority of the entries in the Mod logs are of one of us editing our own posts, with a few threads moved from the archive to GD, and a few threads being stickied sprinkled in there for good measure.

As for this change, it is at least the third time I've changed the numbers on the title table in the 5+ years we've been on vbulletin. It's for the same reason as the last times: just because I thought a little more spacing would be nice. It didn't create a firestorm the last two or three times, not sure what the big deal is now.

No idea why some custom titles changed and others didn't. I don't assign all of the custom titles (anyone with admin rights can), and I don't have a list, so if you lost a reasonable one, just PM me.
