View Full Version : Do you park in the same spot at work everyday?

So I usually get to work early enough where the lot is basically empty. I began the habit of taking the last spot, the furthest from the entrance because the neurotic guy I am, I just like having the same spot everyday.
This guy who I have been having issues with at work, mainly because hes an idiot, has somehow decided to begin arriving earlier than me to take my spot. Now, at the time I didn't know that for sure, but considering its the last spot in the lot and the lot is friggin empty, I am pretty sure this is on purpose and he aside from being an idiot must also be completely insane.
To combat his insanity, I began parking in the next to last spot. And all seemed well for a couple of months and then wouldn't you know it the guy has now taken the next to last spot recently.
I really would like to punch him in the face, unfortunately I am weak and besides its just a parking spot.

That's so funny. I would park in random spots. See if he follows.

I park in the same vicinity at the DC Metro parking lot all of the time. I don't get the same exact spot, but I am generally in within the same 5-10 spaces.
Park diagonally across both spots.

Sounds like a weird mating ritual.
I don't get to work early enough to consistently get the same spot, but I always go for whatever staff parking spot is closest to the office and available.

I park in the same spot every day. We have this weird parking structure that goes up 11 floors. I always park on the 10th floor. I pass up spaces all the time, but it's easy-in/easy-out.
Well I do have my own parking space right by my door, so, um, yes?

I try to get one of the same four spots, and 99% of the time I get one of them.

If I were you, I would get there earlier, wait for him to arrive, and when he steps out of his car "Terry Tate" him and the defecate on his hood.
Then stand on top of him of and say "Park in my spot again B*tch and it'll be you I'm sh*tting on!" Then proceed to give him a leg drop, and walk away as if everything is normal.

I telecommute now, but back when I worked away from home, I would always try to park in the same area of the parking lot, just to save myself the strain of remembering where I parked.
Sounds like that guy is a psycho.

I have 3 preferred spots, and I usually get 1 of them depending on when I get to work. Depends on the other guy, and the time I get there. Usually the difference between Spot 1 and Spot 2 is less than 5 minutes.

We have a spot labeled 'employee of the quarter'. Hasn't been actually used as such in years and years.
I've been employee of the quarter about 90% of the time for 3 years now.

Cover both spots with broken glass and park elsewhere.

I park far from the entrance every day. I take the spot that this schlub from my office takes the day before, just to piss him off.

If the lot is empty, why not park close and in randomish spots everyday? Does it matter that much?
That was a great story. I would show up late for work and dropped feces (You can use your own but dog poo will do) on his windows and door handle. If your brave write douche in poo on his window.

I prefer the broken glass all over the space, or go slash his tires, but make sure there's no video camera monitoring the parking lot first.

I think there is a big difference between laying claim to a single parking spot, and just wanting to park in a specific area of a parking lot.

Break into his house and search for it. While you're in there, light his place on fire.

The next day after he takes your spot go up to him.. "DUDE! I think someone hit your car, you might want to check it out. Must be my lucky day, normally I park in that spot"
At least you might get some enjoyment at him walking around his car looking for damage...

If he really wanted to be friends, he'd use the stall next to him and play footsie.
