In trying times like these no matter what your position is on the war .... Support our troops . Say thanks and pray for the young men and women who will soon be racing across the Iraqi desert .
Some of whom will never come out alive .
Pray that their leaders will make the right decisions and that they be kept from harm and come safe home soon.
In honor of our troops light a candle and put it on your porch on the night of the war .
and may the American way of life endure through the ages .

Agreed. Hope our troops stay as safe as possible. Go Air Force! Take out those bastards as quick as possible to protect our ground troops! There are a lot of intangibles in this war and I pray our troops have as few casualties as the first war.

Amen. I don't talk a lot about my spiritual beliefs (and I know there are many on this board who don't believe in God), but I've been praying for our president, our troops, all Americans, and all Iraqis in the past several weeks.

I support our troops all the way, but I don't support Bush's war. I'm just hoping he doesn't get many of our fine troops killed.

Against the war. Always for the troops. They had a parade in town for them on Sunday. This part of the midwest seems to always support the troops strong.

I concur completely.

I support the war and i support our troops 100%.
There's no doubt in my mind we're doing the right thing here.
Im just glad we have a president with enough foresight to see that Iraq is just a ticking time bomb waiting to go off. In a couple weeks from now all the critic's will be singing a different tune once the horror storys come out of iraq about the way they've been forced to live for the past 30 years.
Do the people of Iraq not deserve the same freedom we take for granted everyday??
Just my 2 cent :)

I support our President, our leaders, and our troops. Thank you for making the sacrifices to keep us safe. Give Saddam and his regime what they deserve.

No matter what I may think of the leaders of any country, when the bullets start flying I pray that all involved will suffer the minimum number of casualties. May God bless our troops and the civilians of Iraq.

FYI, both houses overwhelmingly voted for the use of force against Iraq so it really is America's war. You don't like the decision vote for someone else next time (president, senators, representatives).

I don't support the war, but I always support the troops. Nothing liek american soliders kicking ass.
PS: Tarkus, why must you turn every thread in a pro-war/anti-war arguement?

I'm not the one who called it Bush's war. What did that have to do with supporting our troops? I just responded to the statement. That post and the one following it turned this into a pro-war/anti-war discussion, not my statement. I was just pointing out a fact. Exactly where in my statement do I even claim to be pro-war or anti-war?

(To avoid the obvious outcome, this will be all I will say on this in this thread...)
Tarkus, Blackie spoke about supporting the troops. You did not. That's the difference. Instead of saying anything about supporting the troops, you take something someone said and tried to turn this thread into yet another war discussion.
Chemical said we should pray for the troops, but instead of pointing out how I do not beleive in God and try to turn this into a debate about religion, I simply post that I support the troops.
Havok says the war is the right thing to do. But instead of pointing out that I do not think it's the right thing to do and give arguments, I simply say I support the troops.
ColtCrazy said his town had a parade, but instead of pointing out how incredibly gay parades are (and I'm gonna get it from John Galt now...) and say how I hate them so much because they always happen on a day where I need to get somewhere and the parade is blocking my only path...I just say I support the troops.
Say you support the troops and the war, say you support the troops but not the war, say you support neither....but with the intention of the original poster pretty clear, I don't see the need to pick up on something someone said and trying to turn this into another war argument thread.
(I've said my peace, I will now fade into the shadows)

also in the words of the british house of commons:
"FETCH ME MY TEA, DOREEN" *followed by much waving of papers in the air and standing around in grey suits, they only turned up because they knew they were going to be on telly anyway*
and in the words of the british house of lords:
*a bunch of old men who fell asleep in the middle of a sentence, so they don't say anything anyway*

sabotai, okay, I've got it. Say something first about the post, then change the subject to an anti-war tone and it's okay. Thanks for clearing that up.
Tarkus
P.S. It should be obvious I support the troops without even have to say it. I would not have posted anything here if two people hadn't brought out their hidden agendas, which is clearly what their anti-Bush statements were.

*sigh* I'm sorry, I have to, then I'm done
Tarkus,
1) I did not change the subject. In this post and my previous two posts, all I have said and the only point I'm making is that instead of sticking with the original intention of the original post, as everyone has done, you decided to pick up on something someone said about Bush in a non favorable way, and tried to thread jack this into another war debate.
I don't even know how you came to the conclusion i was changing the subject. I've been pretty damn clear on this.
2) Other's, as I pointed out already, have let their pro-Bush biasness come through, too. I don't see you jumping on them about their "hidden agenda".
That's all. I'm done. If you still can't understand what I'm saying, that's your problem.

sabotai,
A. I never said you changed the subject.
B. I never said anything pro-war or anti-war.
C. I did not respond at all to ColtCrazy who said they were against the war.
D. All I did was point out the fact that it's not just Bush's war but the Congress' and the House's as well, and that if you didn't like the result you could try to change the next one by voting in different representatives.
E. If you think that's trying to turn this thread into a pro-war or anti-war discussion, that's your problem.
