Robbed eight banks since April. May've had a partner who robbed up to eight other ones. This dude was cool as hell from what I could tell, but I guess it just goes to show you.
So anyone else know anyone who was arrested for something that hardcore? I am sure there are some good stories out there.

No.
My brother was arrested for masturbating in public though...
I'm so proud of my family.

My parents once employed the Happy Face Killer (http://www.francesfarmersrevenge.com/stuff/serialkillers/jesperson.htm). My mom always said he seemed a bit off.

When I got tossed in jail for my little trespassing incident, a co-worker of mine was already in the holding area for breaking into cars...
My former best friend was arrested for attempted rape. Yeah I kind of had a meltdown on here over that if I remember correctly.

A guy I went to high school with was arrested for murdering his best friend in a "hunting accident". When picked up (while shacked up with the "grieving widow"), police found a cache of weapons later identified as part of the haul from the robbery of a U.S. military facility.

Same boat, not a best friend, but a friend was for rape......I think he is still in Prison....
The one thing I remember is going to visit another friend that had lived with him and having the cops come in and question us all....pretty crazy stuff...

We unknowingly hired someone who imbezzled $30,000. He is now in jail.
A girl that was in my class in high School killed his mother hitting with an axe on her head like a year ago.
It was really shocking to see her face in the news. I had not seen her for years, as she moved to another town after high school. It seems that she was diagnosed with mental issues (paranoid and bipolar) some years ago, hospitalized a few times, but released as she looked fine. Seems she wasn't really fine and who knows what was in her mind to kill her mother with such brutality.
I remember her being a bit weird in high school, some days she was super nice and other she was really shy. I remember she also was dating one of one of my best mates for a couple of months, but my mate couldn't stand her weirdness. I guess she had problems already and nobody knew it those days.

There was a little Cambodian dude in my drafting class in high school that everybody used to tease. Turned out he was actually in his thirties, and one Christmas he chopped up his family with an ax.
I had a friend who lived in a house with 4 other guys, and unbeknownst to the rest of them, one of them robbed the local post office. Soon after they put up wanted posters around the neighborhood, and one of the room-mates (still ignorant of the other roomies guilt) found it humorous that the image on the poster could've easily passed for any of the 5 of them, so he gathered up a big stack of them and papered the wall of the house with 'em. The postal-robber, probably still hopped up on adrenaline and anxiety, comes home and assumes he's been found out, and that his room-mates have pulled some 'high plains drifter' type shit on him, and proceeds to freak the fuck out. Somewhere in there he gets arrested.
BUT WAIT! Dude gets out relatively quickly thanks to Portland's awesome jam-packed jails and promptly robs a bank. On his bike. And when confronted by the police, he pops off a couple shots. And proceeds to get shot the fuck up. The end.

Back to uncles. Travis is serving a life sentence for the murders of 12 women, I believe. He had help. My brother heard from him a few years ago as he was asking if his girlfriend wouldn’t mind writing some love letters to the inmates in his prison. There was some money to be made in this, and my brother would be cut in, of course. After a few of these requests, my brother called the prison. He hasn’t heard from him since. Edit: Actually, after looking back at this, it's a little inaccurate. My uncle Ricky went to prison for 12 years for helping Travis.
I had a roommate in the Navy who attempted to rob a bank in 1998.
The absolute nerdiest kid in my senior class stabbed his stepdad with a fork a few years after graduation. The surprise of being stabbed by a fork by the kid shocked the old man and he died. Why did he stab him? The old man was making fun of him for drinking kool aid.

I have a friend who 10 years ago killed another guy when he caught him sleeping with his girlfriend. I still think he is a basically good guy who just snapped and is paying the price for one moment of horrendous judgement.

Ok, I found a lot of humor in this story...especially the image of someone robbing an bank and ridding off on a 10-speed.

I once had a roommate who, it turned out, had done time for armed robbery before living with us. We were all thrilled to learn that little nuggest of information.

When I used to work for IBM, one of the guys on the team I was supervising was escorted off the Boeing facility premises. Apparently, it was a bunch of little things like not having his car properly licensed, and not pulling over (somehow evading police, I guess? Surprised he made it into work.) in a timely fashion.

I killed Patrick Ewing and took over his silly persona on a silly little internet forum about a football game.
I haven't been caught yet.

He tried to plead temporary insanity but was found culpable for his actions and is still in prison.

In one of my previous jobs I took over for a sysadmin who got taken away by the FBI for hacking computers of other businesses and some local municipalities. He subsequently jumped bail and was later picked up and charged with domestic terrorism for other non-computer related activities.

That guy shot be put to death because why would he kill the other guy because his girlfriend decided to spread her legs. He should have been mad at her and then walked away.

Interesting my roommate's friend was arrested for a sexual crime. I have heard this story but he never mentioned it was sexual battery. I wonder if I should bring it up or just let it go.

I dont think he is saying it was right to kill the guy, but most people are more mad at the person other than their significant other. I do think in most cases this happens the guy that would be killed has to know the woman is married or close to being married by the artifacts around the house so it is not like the guy is all that innocent. With that said I am not saying I agree with killing someone over this but maybe torture ;)

I have one. Guy I sat next to in 9th grade math class was a little nerdy, not very sociable, etc. A couple of years after graduation, he's doing steroids, all buff and is a male stripper. He later ends up killing a girl over a drug deal in an alley way. I think he's either still in prison, or now dead. Can't recall.

I'm the only guy I know who was date raped...by a girl, of course. It was actually attempted date rape because I was fubar, passed out in her truck and in no condition to uhh...penetrate anything, but it didn't stop her from trying for however long Orgy's first album is.
All of our friends thought it was funny until I pointed out that if I'd done it to her, I'd have been beaten and jailed. A friend of mine is a cop and ran her name after I told him the story, and as it turns out, the real reason she switched high schools years before is because her and a female friend had done "things" to a little boy they were babysitting and she was getting harrassed/beaten up by the boy's cousin and her friends.
Bitch owes me money too.
