Not a good start for the European team. Down 1-3. When can we start blaming Faldo and his stupid picks?

I'll be shocked if the US wins this. The Euros own this event and there's a long way to go.

We're winning! Too bad Furyk and Perry let that match go. Kim/Phil did a tremendous job coming back.

I'm pissed Azinger didn't pick Rocco.

USA is up 5.5 - 2.5 after both Friday sessions, and it might have been 6 - 2 if Holmes and Weekley hadn't driven their tee shots into the lake on eighteen. If they can keep it even tomorrow they'll have a great chance to get the cup back.

Don't forget Kenny Perry doing the same thing in the morning.

I wish it didn't have to be so early tomorrow.

Europe wins Saturday morning 2.5 - 1.5 after Mickelson and Kim suffer a total breakdown on the back nine, losing their match after being 4up at one point on the front.
7-5 USA up.

I really wish NBC would do a better job putting the scores on the screen. I get that they don't want me to flip channels, but it's a football Saturday. Come on!

Football ain't got shit on this year's Ryder Cup. There's been so many great shots and tight matches today.

Wow, the two opening iron shots to start the day... WOW. Both within three feet.

Absolutely!
Thought Kim might start out 1 up after his iron shot, then Sergio goes and knocks it dead even with Kim's.

The boys are playing inspired golf today. Seems they want it. Great to see.

Anthony Kim is a great young talent. Fun watching him play this season.

Things are starting to get a little too close for comfort. Great play from both sides again today, so many irons stuck within a few feet of the pin.

Hunter Mahan just does his best Justin Leonard impression from 1999!!!

We have a certain half point from Mahan and 3 other relatively secure leads. The U.S. will need to hold their big leads and then get 1 more point to win.

USA only needs 3 more points to take the cup. They have to be favorites right now

It's all but over. Furyk just needs to halve one of the last two holes.

Gutsy performance when you consider that no one really thought they had a shot.

And the USA wins the Ryder Cup, a month after regaining gold in Olympic basketball. Once Obama wins the election we'll remember 2008 as the year that America got it's groove back.
(let's just ignore the state of the economy)

I still can't get over how high the quality of play was, just so many awesome shots and great putts from both teams.

The course, through my eyes, seemed to be pretty easy for a PGA Standpoint... but, that could be just the greatness of the players today and all of them stepping up big time. Boo Weekley was 8 under from the holes that he played....

It was only a matter of time till one of the European's cried...
