The Pentagon has stated that troops have found a huge chemical weapons facility near Al Najaf. They also have detained the general in charge of the complex. Big find for US.

Yeah! There is your proof, Tarkus, and we didn't even have to invent it. I guess we're justified now.

Actually, I'm not cheering yet. There's still no offical confirmation as to what exactly was found. And until Saddam is gone, his regime destroyed, and the troops home I won't be satisfied. But I have very little doubt that this is probably just the tip of the iceberg.

My only problem will be when and if they announce the "proof " that he's been lying to everyone in the world for 12 years, and the war protestor groups all start screaming "conspiracy, and its all fake to legitimize things"
There are too many people who are closed minded about this, they won't be persuaded until they start choking from a chemical attack.....
sad isn't it?

There's also a story about Russian and English (!) weapons that violate the UN sanctions being found in a civilian heliport in southern Iraq.
The story's at theherald.co.uk

Just to toss my liberal hat in the ring, I think that it sure as hell sound like a chemical weapons plant and in all likelyhood is. Does it change my view of the war? Not in the least.
