Alright all you FOFC MMA and Role Playing fans. This is your chance to be a part of FOFC's only MMA organization. Your job will be to create a fighter or fighters who can compete in our octagon.

Here is an example of what I need in the way of fighter creation.

<style> <!-- BODY,DIV,TABLE,THEAD,TBODY,TFOOT,TR,TH,TD,P { font-family:"Arial"; font-size:x-small } --> </style><table border="1" cellspacing="0" cols="3" frame="void" rules="groups"> <colgroup><col width="86"><col width="111"><col width="109"></colgroup> <tbody> <tr> <td align="left" height="17" width="86">NAME</td> <td align="left" width="111">

</td> <td align="left">Anvil</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">AGE</td> <td align="left">
</td> <td sdval="23" sdnum="1033;" align="right">23</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">NATIONALITY</td> <td align="left">
</td> <td align="left">American</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">FIGHTING WEIGHT (186-205)</td> <td align="left">
</td> <td sdval="199" sdnum="1033;" align="right">199</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">HOMETOWN</td> <td align="left">

</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">FIGHTING STYLE</td> <td align="left">
</td> <td align="left">Anvil Hands</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">FIGHTING APPROACH</td> <td align="left">
</td> <td align="left">Explosive</td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

We are only going to be fighting at Light Heavyweight for right now. That weight class is 186-205. So make sure that your guys are within that range.

Fighting Style can be unique. Whatever you want to call it. Fighting Approach is his main fighting style. Here are your options here:

<table border="1" cellspacing="0" cols="1" frame="void" rules="groups"> <colgroup><col width="111"></colgroup> <tbody> <tr> <td align="left" height="17" width="111">Regular</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">Counter Fighter</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">High Aggression</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">Methodical</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">Explosive</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">Showman</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">Intense</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">Relaxed</td> </tr> </tbody> </table>
After that I need you to list 5 things that make your fighter special. It can be his condition, strength, power, ground skills. Basically anything that defines who he is in the fight. List them in descending order of importance. Also keep in mind that what you don't list will be just as important, as you can bet that he won't be as good in those area's as you might like.

<style> <!-- BODY,DIV,TABLE,THEAD,TBODY,TFOOT,TR,TH,TD,P { font-family:"Arial"; font-size:x-small } --> </style><table border="1" cellspacing="0" cols="2" frame="void" rules="groups"> <colgroup><col width="86"><col width="111"></colgroup> <tbody> <tr> <td align="left" height="17" width="86">1. Great Strikes Standing</td> <td align="left" width="111">
</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">2. Great Strikes Grounded</td> <td align="left">
</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">3. Powerful Kicks</td> <td align="left">
</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="18">4. Takedown Defense</td> <td align="left">
</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="left" height="17">5. Powerful Slams</td> <td align="left">
</td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

Keep in mind that in MMA and WMMA the Fighting abilies are broken down into General skills, Standing skills, Grounded skills, Clinch skills, and Mental skills. You can be as detailed or general as you like, and keep in mind that specific statements will result in more benefit in a smaller area, while more general statements will result in less in one area but a more general ability.

Write a background for your fighter, and who he may resemble in real life. This may help in his creation. I am trying to balance the game early on and then let the game take over from there.

I am going to be creating everyone, and wiill be using the templates within the game, and making manual modifications. If your guy is an incredibly gifted athlete he will be a weaker fighter to start, and if he is a really good fighter, he may not be so well conditioned, and so on.

I can't promise perfection, but it should be fun.

All fighters are going to start at 0-0 and totally inexperienced, but I am hoping that as we get more people involved it can grow from there. Perhaps to add in another weight class or two.

RULES

Fights are going to be wide open ,with three 10 minute rounds for normal fights, and five 10 minute rounds for title fights. We will be in a cage, and all strikes, slams and kicks are legal. I have imported all the MMA Camps from Tap N Snap ( I think that my DB is 3) so all fighters will join camps as they choose. I will let you know so you can read up on that camp, and get a more visual picture of how your guy will do.

I would like to start with a tourney that will crown the first ever FOFC LHW Champion. Within the game I really don't care about money, other companies don't exist, and ratings and popularity don't really matter. The rest of the world we can create here with our posts and fight hype. I will try and keep fighters from fighting no more than 4 times per year, and open challenges will try and be accomodated as we get to them.

If anybody has any other ideas to make things better let me know. Let's see how many guys we can get started with and see where it goes from there.

Name: Rob Nielsen
Nickname: Coffee Warlord
Age: 21
Nationality: American
Fighting Weight: 195
Hometown: Palm Springs, CA
Height: 6'1"

Fighting Style: Sho'Nuff School of Mastery
Fighting Approach: Explosive

1) Fast. Really. Really. Fast.
2) Always on the offensive.
3) Great ground striker.
4) Powerful kicks.
5) Takedown Specialist.

Essentially, what I'm describing is a guy who is looking to end the fight, one way or another, fast. Damn fast. Can drop a guy with a strong kick, or can get em down and pummel the living hell out of them. Doesn't subscribe to the strategy of wearing people down - he's damned quick and can knock somebody out standing up or on the ground.

He's Nicky Santoro. He'll keep coming until one of you is dead.

Name: Alec Sander
Nickname: 'Smart'
Age: 23
Nationality: English
Fighting Weight: 205
Hometown: Braintree, Essex, England
Height: 5'10"

Fighting Style: Jedi
Fighting Approach: Counter Fighter

1. Granite Chin
2. Striking - hands
3. Takedown resistance
4. Kicking accuracy
5. Submission defence

What I'm trying to describe is a guy who despite his will use his opponents' strengths against them: he is very hard to knock out or takedown, and will catch you on the way in.

If you attempt to strike me down, I will become more powerful than you can ever imagine!

AlexB

Good idea by the way - the five strengths is actually more limiting than I thought!

Rob "Coffee Warlord" Neilsen

- More than capable of getting takedowns
- Physically Strong

Alec "Smart" Sander
- Difficult to takedown
- Knows how to defend against submission attempts
- Very hard to knock out
- Physically Strong
- Decent Conditioning

Good start guys. Thanks

Nickname: The Hunter
Age: 24
Nationality: Canadian
Fighting Weight: 203
Hometown: Edmonton, AB
Height: 6'2"

Fighting Style: Efficient Devastation
Fighting Approach: Counter-Fighter

1) Close quarters striking (elbows/knees)
2) Kicks
3) Take down defense
4) Heart
5) Athleticism

Jace comes with a strong basis in wrestling, karate and muay thai. As such he tends to look to keep fights on the feet, looking for openings and trying to force mistakes. If the fight makes it to the ground he'll try and control the positioning battle, trying to establish some ground and pound while trying to minimize any submission situations.

He's a fighter who tries to combine technical skill with power so as not to truly rely solely on either but in the end, it's his heart and perseverance that can set him apart and keep him alive in matches when he probably should have been knocked out or submitted.

Nickname: "Le Bleuet"
Age: 20
Nationality: Canadien
Fighting Weight: 191
Hometown: Chicoutimi, QC
Height: 5'9"

Fighting Style: PCO Stylylylylyle
Fighting Approach: Intense

1) Granite Chin
2) Conditionning
3) Speed
4) Standing Strikes
5) Takedown Defense

"Le Bleuet" is a small, bulky forward-first fighter who thrives at overmatching his opponents with his superior work rate and his ability to work standing. He is able to take punishment like no other, which is a great factor in his strategy to control the center of the cage and be the fighter who constantly puts pressure. He has very quick hands and although he doesn't have incredible one-punch power, his excellent accuracy is usually a great tool on the way to finish his opponents. He is in danger when on the ground, but has shown an ability to avoid that part of the fight.

Alright, right now we have 7 guys. I would really like to get to 16 to start the game. So we need at least 9 more guys. As we get things going, I think that we are going have plenty of fighters. We just need to cross that initial threshold.

Oh, and I got Le Bleuet in there correctly, it was just a typo on my part.

Fighting Weight: 202

Fighting Style: Hooligan's Holiday
Fighting Approach: Counter

1) Explosive Power
2) Fast Hands and Feet
3) Muay Thai Expert (Good Knees in the clinch)
4) Ground control
5) Good Takedown Defense

Will look to draw a fighter in and land devastating counter shots similar to Rashad Evans, will look to land knees and Elbows from the Muay Thai plum when in close. Prefers stand up but has solid wrestling skills when needed, goes for mount and attempts to pound opponents out when the fight does go to the ground, but he will look to keep in standing. Not a big submssion guy.

1. Always comes forward
2. Maximum punching power
3. Minimum punching technique
4. Very good at knowing when to go in for the kill
5. Poor ground skills

Windy is your typical English chav - he fights like it's two o'clock on a Saturday night when everyone spills out of the clubs trying to get the single taxi: complete tunnel vision, wading in, fists flying. If plan A doesn't work, he immediately reverts to plan B: wading in fists flying. Any fighter with any sense should be able to win easily, but if you get rocked, woe betide you.

1) Great Takedown Defense
2) Great Instincts (Patiently awaits for his opponent to make a mistake)
3) Great at submitting opponents
4) Great at defending submissions
5) Iron Chin.

Rohan's generally a guy who is well respected by his peers because he is very respectful of them. He gets his "rush" from the actual fight, he is not in it for endorsements. Studying MMA his entire life, lots of fighters claim fighting Rohan is as much of a mental strain as it is a physical one. Very patient and waits for his opponent to make a mistake.

3) Iron Chin
4) Good Submission defense
5) Offense based on counters

His favorite expression is "Why not?", which pretty much explains how he got involved with MMA. Doesn't look like a fighter, doesn't act like a fighter, doesn't really think like a fighter ... but he keeps showing up & can surprise people who underestimate him. He wandered into a north Georgia gym one day to ask for directions and hung around shooting the breeze. And he came back to next day to hang out ... and the next day, and eventually ended up learning just a little bit of everything from a variety of fighters passing through. Jack of several trades, master of none.

Here are the first round fights.

Bracket 1:

CW Rob Nielsen v. Magnificent Matt Alexander
Smart Alec Sander v. Canadian John Williams
Dammit Dusty v. Action Jackson
Rohan Shah v. Nicklovin

The winners of the first two fights will fight with the second pair joining them in the lower pairing.

Bracket 2:

Jace Mason v. Flamebeard
Buzzsaw Lee v. Windmill Miller
Tiny Bruce v. Anvil Hands Johnson
Doomvan Donovan v. Le Bleuet Fillion

Well here's hoping Mason's sprawl game is up to par or that he can catch Flamebeard with a big knee on a takedown try, not looking like Mason will want any part of the match to end up on the mat.

Dammit Dusty v. Action Jackson: Doesn't look like this is going to be a good fight for the neutral, or for fans of the ground game. Dusty's a counter fighter, and can take a punch. Jackson is a "decent" puncher/kicker. Neither have really much ground skills, so it'll probably stay standing for thirty minutes. It all depends on how well Dusty can counter.

My Thoughts: It's probably going to decision, I'll say Dusty 29-28.

"Le Bluet" Nicolas Fillion vs Doomvan Alex Donovan

I don't think this is a good matchup for Fillion. Donovan is almost as good as him standing, but against a striker, if Donovan gets this matchup to ground, Fillion's in trouble. Can Fillion keep this match standing for thirty minutes, or knock out the iron chin of Donovan? Here's saying "I don't think so"

My Prediction: Donovan by submission

“Coffee Warlord” Rob Nielsen, 0-0 v. “Magnificent” Matt Alexander, 0-0

Round one sees CW fire off some loopy punches that are defended by Alexander. Alexander gets a single leg takedown, but CW is back up quickly. Alexander hits a jab, ducks, and then takes CW down again. In guard, Alexander controls the ground and tries to work and armbar, moves to side control and lands some big elbows. Alexander is almost able to get a kimura, but time expires.

Round two starts with some boxing by both fighters. Nielsen defends well, and is using front kicks and jabs to keep Alexander from coming in close. Alexander lands a hard right, then a solid kick to the ribs. Alexander fires a lead right, but CW sees it and lands a solid kick right to the jaw of Alexander. He drops to the floor, where CW lands hammerfist after hammerfist until the ref stops the fight at 1:51

“Smart” Alec Sander, 0-0 v. “The Canadian not the Composer” John Williams, 0-0

Round one was punctuated by Sander standing in the middle of the ring and beckoning Williams toward him. Sander was loading up on big punches and managed to land a couple of good punches to the body and head. Williams spent the round ducking and moving, and landed a blow here and there.

Round two opens with Williams looking a little dazed from the big punches in the first round. Sander was able to land a couple of light punches, but most were defended, while Williams hit a couple of jabs and pulled Sander into a clinch. The clinch lasts most of the rest of the round.

Round three starts with Sander coming out firing punches right away. Williams finally succeeds in getting Sander in a clinch, and takes him to the ground with a trip. Williams has side control and tries a kimura. He can't get it and fires off a few shots. He tries for a mount, but Sander is able to shake him off, and fight back to a standing clinch where the fight ends.

30-27 Sander, 29-28 Williams, and 29-28 for “Smart” Alec Sander.

:banghead:

Fillion's brother Yanick has offered to step in for the injured Nicolas. The offer is on the table, if Donovan doesn't find a way out of the challenge and if the FOFC officials are in agreement, Yanick will be ready to step into the cage in March.

Name: Yanick Fillion
Nickname: "Le Rat Musqué"
Age: 24
Nationality: Canadien
Fighting Weight: 203
Hometown: Chicoutimi, QC
Height: 6'0"

Fighting Style: Muskrat
Fighting Approach: Methodical

1) Standing Strikes
2) Fighting Instincts
3) Chin
4) Takedown Defense
5) Physical Strenght

"Le Rat Musqué" may be the big brother of "Le Bleuet", but it doesn't show in the cage. While Nicolas is a forward-first, intense fighter who likes to trade punch for punch, Yanick is a more laid-back fighter who waits for openings and who likes to capitalise on openings. He is a patient fighter who is not affraid of making a fight boring as long as he comes out on top. There's a problem with that style though, "Le Rat Musqué" doesn't currently have the conditionning nor the work ethic to let the fight play out for too long, which would make him a much more dangerous player.

“Dammit” Dusty Coldwater, 0-0 v. Theodore “Action” Jackson, 0-0

Round one sees Action Jackson come out firing. Some punches are traded early. Jackson pushes Coldwater against the cage in a clinch, and goes for a trip. It doesn't work and Coldwater springs off the cage taking Jackson down into guard. Coldwater brings some light GnP, while Jackson was looking for a triangle from the guard.

Round two starts with Coldwater coming out hard swinging. They trade blows until Coldwater catches a leg from Jackson and takes him to the ground again. Coldwater is leaving himself vulnerable with his GnP, but his punches are keeping Jackson from doing much of anything. Jackson keeps a tight guard, and once again tries and fails to land the triangle submission.

Round three starts with Dusty firing off some kicks, and then both men trade blows in the center of the cage. Dusty catches Jackson with a big right and Jackson stumbles back. Coldwater attacks, but Jackson clinches up. Coldwater eats a knee in the clinch, but then uses a single leg to take Jackson down again. Coldwater has side control and seeks an armbar right away, but Jackson is able to fight out of it, and Coldwater motions him to get back up. Jackson can't get anything going before the fight ends.

30-27, 29-28 and 29-28 all for "Dammit" Dusty Coldwater

FIGHT 4

“Silent Assassin” Rohan Shah, 0-0 v. “Niclovin” Nicholas Thomas, 0-0

Round one starts with Shah surprisingly coming out fast. He fires of punch after punch and forces Niclovin back to the cage. A hook finds Niclovin, and he is forced to clinch up. Both men fight for position, and Thomas hits a couple of knees. The ref breaks them up and Shah scores a single leg takedown of Thomas. Shah tries to land a couple of big punches, but Niclovin throws his hips, hits the triangle choke, and Shah has no way out. He finally taps at 3:21 of round one.

One half of the quarterfinals are set

“Coffee Warlord” Rob Nielsen, 1-0 v. “Smart” Alec Sander, 1-0

FWIW, the pbp of the Coldwater fight indicates to me that he turned out pretty much like I was aiming for, nice job Pilot.

In reading that though, he did seem a little more aggressive than I would have expected. What would have been the correct instruction/trait for me to have given him (in game terminology or MMA terminology for that matter) to have made him a little more apt to sit on a presumptive point lead & make Jackson come to him? Not to the point of inactivity that the crowd would totally turn on the fight/fighter but to the degree that there would have been scattered boos for the lack of offense if Jackson didn't press the issue.

“British Buzzsaw” Anthony Lee has sustained an elbow injury while training for his fight with Windy Miller. The injury is going to sideline Lee for more than 4 months. Miller will get a bye if no fighter fills his place before the fight.

Dammit!! Somebodies going to get a Guinness smashed on their head for this!! Let me fight one handed.

“Doomvan” Alex Donovan, 0-0 v. Yanick “Le Rat Musque” Fillion, 0-0

Round one starts with both fighters touching gloves in cage center. Donovan presses forward but it's Fillion that lands the better blows. Fillion presses the action and backs Donovan all the way to the cage. Donovan tries to clinch up but Fillion thwarts him. Donovan presses action from cage center and again Fillion outstrikes him.

Round two saw Fillion come out more aggressively, but neither fighter was real crisp. There were a lot of exchanges, but neither fighter seemed to have the upper hand. The end up in a clinch where Donovan is able to land a couple of knees, they break and each fighter lands a couple punches before the round ends.

Round three is really slow. Both men exchange punches in the middle, and there is a lot of grabbing. Fillion finds some energy and fires off a flury of punches. Donovan can't seem to muster up much offense and the round ends with a clinch.

29-28 from all three judges all for Yanick “Le Rat Musque” Fillion.

Fight Two

“Tiny” Bruce Douglas, 0-0 v. “Anvil Hands” Brian Johnson, 0-0

Round one starts with Johnson attacking in the middle. Tiny fights back, but Johnson nails him with a hard punch while pressed against the cage. Douglas is able to fight back to the center, and Johnson attacks, but Douglas is able to take him down. Johnson tries to get up, but Douglas takes his back, and goes for the choke. Johnson bucks and manages to twist Tiny off. Johnson keeps him back with a big kick, they exchange and the round ends.

Round two finds Douglas working an angle for a takedown. They exchange punches and kicks, and clinch in cage center. Douglas hits a knee, and goes for a second but Johnson pushes him away. Douglas falls backward. Johnson sees the mistake and lands a hard punch and starts letting everything go. Many punches are missing or are being blocked. An elbow lands, and Douglas tries to grab a guillotine, but a hard left from Johnson rocks Douglas and the ref steps in, much to Tiny's dismay. Time is 2:24 of round 2.

Fight Three

“The Hunter” Jace Mason, 0-0 v. “EFotNHNT” Erik Flamebeard, 0-0

It should be noted that Windy Miller is at the fights tonight. He spent most of the day at the pub, now he is with the ring girls, and is taunting both fighters as they enter the cage.

Round one is a feeling out round. Neither fighter seems willing to commit to the fight. Both men exchange punches, with Flamebeard probably getting the better blows in. Mason lands a kick late.

Round two is very similar to round one. With both men casually exchanging blows in the center. Each man gets a chance here and there to land, but neither seems to be able to do much. They fall into a clinch, trade blows and end up against the cage. The ref breaks them up, and Mason lands a couple of good punches as the round ends.

Round three starts with Mason throwing a jab, then coming in for a takedown. Flamebeard and Mason end up in a power struggle and Flamebeard manages to get on top in a north-south position. Flamebeard lands a hard punch then spins into a full mount. Flamebeard begins smashing down on Mason, who is nearly powerless to stop it. Flamebeard grabs an arm and transitions to an Americana submission. Mason is had, he taps out at 0:56 of round three.

APRIL NEWS

Jace Mason sustained an injury that will keep him out for sometime. It is a neck injury and like Fillion's it will keep him out for 4 months.

This whole injury thing is getting out of hand. And I am wondering why? I think that the game must be coded for random injuries without regard for the group size. All the fighters are pretty beefed up against injuries, but are still getting them.

The injuries really cause long term problems for the fighters and are a major pain here for continuity. What I am going to do is beef up everyone's resilience again, and reset all the physical stats so that they are not penalized. Hopefully, that will bring down the incidence to a more reasonable level.

Out for sometime.

Now, I think that I have figured this problem out. The injuries must be random and set to happen regardless of how many guys are in the database. So as time goes on with only 17 guys in the DB, guys are taking hits.

I just ran a parallel game with an entire real life roster. I ran six months, and although it took some time to do, there were no injuries during that entire 6 month period.

I am going to adjust my DB, and correct the injuries to Nielsen and Jackson, and run some time.

Sander and Nielsen enter and are ready to go. There has been a lot of talk between these two getting ready for this fight. So this one has been widely anticipated.

Round one starts. CW comes out in typical fashion all over the place. He throws four punches that miss. Sander comes in, but Nielsen moves out of the way, and lands a good counter. Nielsen's speed really seems to be throwing Sander off. They clinch late, and the round ends with Sander able to land a knee, but taking some shots to the stomach.

Round two opens with more striking in the center of the cage. Nielsen dodges a shot and lands a good right. Sander lands a jab and comes in close to a clinch. They trade blows, and break free. Sander lands a leg kick, but Nielsen surprises him with a hard shot to the body and a left hook that floors Sander. Nielsen dives in for the finish, but Sander gets out of there. Sander is able to grab a clinch that he is able to hold onto for the rest of the round.

Round three starts slow. Sander looks for an opening, but as he throws he gets tagged. Sander and Nielsen put on a show for the crowd as they exchange blows. A couple of hard shots land, and it appears that Nielsen's counter punching is dictating the round. They trade some more blows, Sander clinches up and the fight ends.

30-27, 30-27, 29-28 all for “CW” Rob Nielsen

FIGHT 2

Dammit Dusty and Niclovin go at it in fight 2.

Thomas opens the offense with a wild punch, but Coldwater moves out of the way. Coldwater hits a jab, and they clinch up. Coldwater appears to have the initial advantage landing a blow to the ribs, while Niclovin hits a knee. And another. Coldwater goes for a knee and Thomas sweeps him to the ground. Thomas hits an elbow to the ribs and a knee, tries for the mount but Dusty defends well. Coldwater shows good defense on his back against the Jiu-Jitsu specialist and the round ends with no more offense.

Round two opens with Coldwater firing off first, and Thomas losing his balance and stumbling. He recovers in time and lands two jabs, before Coldwater grabs the clinch. The ref breaks them with the action slows. Coldwater forces the action a little, and pushes Thomas against the cage, and throws punches. Coldwater loads up for a big right cross, but Thomas is quick and ducks out, landing a stomach blow in the process, Coldwater turns and eats a left hook. He drops to a knee. He gets up quickly, and throws a big kick to keep Thomas back before the round ends.

Round three starts and Thomas is being careful here. Thomas lands a straight left, and throws an uppercut that makes Dusty backpedal. Coldwater tries to get inside, but Thomas is able to keep him back with a kick. Coldwater throws another punch and Thomas keeps him back with another kick. Thomas looks for a takedown, but decides not to. Coldwater lands a good right, but it didn't do any damage. The fight ends without any more action.

The powerful Dane, against the hard charging Englishman.

Round one is a striking dual. Miller starts with some quick kicks, and punch, and an uppercut that keep Flamebeard off balance. Flambeard takes another leg kick trying to get close. He pulls a clinch, but only briefly. Flambeard lands a punch, a couple more kicks from Miller, and a solid right from Flamebeard. Both men finish the round bouncing around in circles.

Round two sees more time pass. Flambeard tries to come inside, but takes a hard kick to the hip. He backs off. Miller lets go with a huge kick, that narrowly misses. Those kicks are keeping Flamebeard from coming in where he wants to be. Miller keeps coming forward and the Dane backs off. Flambeard finds an angle that he likes and manages to pull a clinch. Both men exchange knees. Miller gets free, but takes a big blow above the eye. Flamebeard comes forward now, and lands two more shots and finishes with a shot to the body. Miller throws a strong kick, and second and a third right to the hip of Flambeard. Flamebeard's mobility is being cut down by these kicks. The round ends.

Round three starts with both men coming right into blows. Neither fighter gets an advantage in the exchange. Flamebeard moves in and lands with a hard right hook. Miller is staggered but won't go down. He pulls a clinch off, and hits a knee on Erik. Flamebeard finally takes the fight to the mat, and has side control. Flamebeard is looking for an armlock, but Miller defends. Miller throws a couple of upkicks, and the big Dane lets him back up. They trade blows as the fight ends.

FIGHT 4

Anvil Hands takes on the Muskrat

To nobodies surprise, Johnson starts off the aggressor. Johnson throws a kick. They come in close and clinch briefly, break and re-clinch. Fillion hits a knee and pushes Anvil against the cage. Johnson lands a solid right hand, and Fillion lets him back off the cage. Fillion comes back with three jabs and a hard body punch. Johnson throws a lead right, and then tries a Punch-Out uppercut that misses. Muskrat just barely avoided that. Fillion finds his back against the cage, but Johnson comes forward like a train at full speed ahead. They trade jabs, but Fillion is still pressed against the cage. Johnson throws a clean right hand that lands flush on the side of Fillion's face. He drops against the cage, as Anvil Hands pummels him. The ref jumps in and stops the fight. The time is 4:46.

Williams and Jackson start the night with a match up between the stand up brute in Jackson and the hybrid style that Williams brings. Williams was considered the best in the FOFC before the start of the tournament, and his loss to Alec Sander was something of a surprise. Williams is only an inch taller here, but his reach advantage should be nullified but Jackson's power.

Douglas and Shah go in fight two. These are two of the tallest men in the FOFC, and they are also two of the best ground grapplers there too. Douglas was knocked out in his first fight, while Shah was submitted much to his dismay. This could be a boring fight, especially if they decide to stand and bang.

Le Bleuet takes on the British Buzzsaw in fight three. This fight is going to stay standing the biggest challenge will be for the Buzzsaw to be able to get inside on the Fillion in order to work his superior muay thai. Lee has a three inch height advantage here, his longer arms could be used to pull in Fillion. Fillion won't be discouraged though, and will fight where ever the fight is.

The final fight features the Doomvan taking on Magnificent Matt Alexander. Both fighters would like this fight to go to the mat. If it stays standing look for Doomvan to have the advantage. His striking is far superior. If Alexander can find an opening though, his ground game is second to none.

“The Canadian” John Williams
23, 6'1”, 0-1

v.

Theodore “Action” Jackson
28, 6'1” 0-1

Blurcat likes Williams by TKO

Round one saw Williams looking for a takedown, but Jackson was able to defend with punches and kicks. Williams was able to grab a clinch and he looked for a takedown there too, but was unable. Jackson defended very well, and survived the round.

Round two sees both men trade blows, and Jackson's boxing just plain looks better than Williams'. Jackson just plain dominated every single exchange between these two.

Round three begins and Jackson knows that his plan to stay standing has been played perfectly so far. Williams continues to try and get inside, but Jackson is able to use his kicks to keep him at bay. Williams does succeed in getting a clinch, but just isn't able to get Jackson to the ground. Williams does land a nice punch at the end of the round, but at this point, it didn't have enough power to do much.

All three judges score it 30-27 for “Action” Jackson.

“Tiny” Bruce Douglas
21, 6'3” 0-1

v.

“The Silent Assassin” Rohan Shah
22, 6'2”, 0-1

Blurcat likes Shah by TKO

Round one is pretty exciting. Both guys start with punches but it isn't long before they get close. Shah in dominant position with Douglas against the cage, where he narrowly escaped a trip from Douglas. Douglas is able to reverse position and lands some body blows. Shah quickly grabbed a leg and put Douglas on the mat, in guard. Douglas defends well, but Shah is still able to work to half guard. He tries for an armbar, but Douglas defends well.

Round two sees both men stand and trade some punches. Both men land and miss blows, with no particular punch being all that good. They clinch and the ref leaves them that way far too long. Douglas launches off a good flurry, but Shah moves well, and fires off a couple good blows of his own. Douglas land a tremendous, and tremendously wild overhand punch and it hits cleanly right in the face. Shah steps back and covers up. Douglas tries to go on the attack, but Shah clinches up as the round ends.

Round three sees Douglas use his long arms to jab out at Shah, keeping him moving backward. Douglas landed a good punch that hurt Shah again, and he grabs a clinch. The ref breaks it up and Douglas landed a couple more. Shah sets up a leg kick and one-two combo. Neither fighter really didi anything, and surprisingly this fight didn't go to the mat as much as was hoped.

All three judges score the fight 29-27 for “Tiny” Bruce Douglas

“The British Buzzsaw” Anthony Lee

Blurcat likes Fillion by TKO

Round one starts with both men trading fast. Fillion aggressively throws an uppercut, but misses leaving him wide open for a big hook to the jaw. His hands drop and Lee nails him again. No response from Fillion and Lee hammers another right to the nose. The ref has to jump in to stop the fight. Fillion didn't go down, but took some major league blows. Fillion is completely out of it. The time of the fight is 0:36.

“Doomvan” Alex Donovan
23, 6'3”, 0-1

v.

“Magnificent” Matt Alexander
24, 6'1”, 0-1

Blurcat likes Donovan by KO

The fight begins slowly as both men begin to feel each other out. Alexander lunges in with a punch, but gets tagged with a hook and falls down on his butt. Donovan charges in and gets caught in Alexanders guard. Alexander is showing good skill at defending here on his back, having only taken damage from a couple of punches. Donovan tries for the mount, but gets to half guard. Donovan switches tactics and grabs the arm but Alexander easily defends and survives the round.

Round two again starts slow. Both men wait for each other and it is Alexander that leads with the hook and presses Donovan against the cage. Alexander steps in again and Donovan timed it well, and nailed him with another solid hook, and again Alexander goes down. Alexander again pulls guard, but Donovan is able to quickly work to side control, but Alexander is against the cage. Alexander smartly defends anything that Donovan can set him up for, until the ref finally stands them up due to inactivity. But much of the round is gone at this point.

The fight goes to the third round. Alexander's corner told him that he was behind in that break. And he comes out faster. Alexander finally gets a chance at a takedown but Donovan sprawls. Alexander pushes and pushes, but Donovan turns and takes down Alexander! In guard, Donovan takes his time, and throws a couple of punches. Alexander is able to work toward a guillotine, but can't get all of it. Donovan isn't doing much, and the ref stands them back up. Alexander gets taken down immediately, much to his frustration. Donovan moves to side control, but Alexander defends well again. The fight ends.

All three judges score the fight 30-27 for Doomvan Alex Donovan.

I have updated the first post with all of the fighters in FOFC MMA, and their current records. Now everyone can see who is in and what their record is. Remember guys, these are your fighters. If there is a particular match that you are looking for it is best to make that challenge then just to let me make them for you.

We now have three guys in danger of going out. They are Shah, Alexander and Williams. There is a good chance that I will put two of them together the show after next.

We still need fighters, especially once we get some more fights under our belts. And we are going to be forced to let some go before too long, I really don't want to go below 16 in total size. I may make some tomato cans but haven't decided on that yet.

Action Jackson comes off of his TKO win over Nicolas Fillion and steps into the octagon with the wildman, Erik Flamebeard. Flamebeard won his first fight with his smashing style and finished it with a submission of Jace Mason. Both men are strong, and fight with lots of power. This should be a very entertaining fight.

In the second fight Jace Mason returns to the cage after his injury and loss to Flamebeard. This time it is against Dusty Coldwater. Coldwater lost his last fight to Niclovin and was eliminated from the title tourney. Coldwater fights go the distance, and you should expect this one to go there too. This could be a very interesting fight, as both guys are pretty well rounded, and both guys like strikes standing and on the ground.

The third fight has something on the line for both men. Doomvan Donovan is coming off of a solid win over ground based tactician Matt Alexander. He won that fight with good striking, but in this one, he is against one of the better strikers in the FOFC in Buzzsaw Lee. Lee missed his first fight with an injury, but made his debut in August with a fast TKO over Le Bleuet Fillion. If Donovan can get to the mat he might get the win, but he will have to get past the clinch of Muay Thai based Lee.

In our last fight we have a winner move on fight for the FOFC MMA Light Heavyweight Title. Anvil Hands Johnson takes on Windy Miller. Two exciting forward moving powerhouses. This fight will likely not see all three rounds as someone is going to fall. Miller has the hardest punches of anyone in FOFC, but that is about it. If he hits you, you may go out. Johnson also has killer hands, and good grappling skills.

“EFotNHNT” Erik Flamebeard
24, 5'11” 1-1

v.

Theodore “Action” Jackson
28, 6'1” 1-1

Blurcat predicts Flamebeard by TKO

The show opens with what we expected. Jackson comes out aggressively and moves Flamebeard all the way to the cage. But backs off not wanting the clinch. Flamebeard comes back with some kicks, and both trade punches. Flamebeard shoots for the takedown, but Jackson sprawls and gets away. Jackson tries to keep Flamebeard at bay with punches, but he comes again, and Jackson sprawls but ends up against the cage. Flamebeard keeps the leg, but instead works up to the clinch. Flamebeard goes for a trip, but Jackson spins away back to the center. Jackson lands a good shot, Flamebeard doesn't go down. Jackson moves in for another punch and this time Flamebeard is able to shoot and land the takedown. He is in guard, but can't get enough offense before the round ends. Good round.

Round two begins with Flamebeard going for another takedown, catching Jackson by surprise, but he can't keep it and Jackson is able to escape. Jackson fires off some shots to try and keep Flambeard from coming in again. Flamebeard covers up, and ducks an uppercut and grabs a clinch. Flamebeard tries another trip, but Jackson is too strong. Another trip attempt from Flamebeard and another defense from Jackson. Flamebeard grabs Jackson pushes him to the cage and tries to throw him to the ground, but he overcommits and Jackson throws Flambeard to the cage. They stay in the clinch for a long while, until the ref breaks them up. Jackson lands a kick and a couple of punches that only find gloves before the round ends.

Round three sees Flamebeard press the action again throwing some ragged punches, that Jackson is able to move away from. Jackson misses too, and then lands a blow to the shoulder of Flambeard. They spend some more time circling each other and Flambeard throws another flurry of punches that land on the arms of Jackson who defended well. Flamebeard winds up for a bomb of a right, but a short left hook disrupts his timing. Jackson nails him with a brutal right hook, right on the side of the head. Flamebeard goes down, and he is out! The time of the fight is 1:30.

“The Hunter” Jace Mason
24, 6'2” 0-1

v.

“Dammit” Dusty Coldwater
22, 6'1” 1-1

Blurcat predicts Mason by TKO

The fight begins with both fighters being cautious. They clinch for a long time with nothing really happening. The ref breaks them and Mason comes back with a big flurry, but most really were blocked or landed on Coldwater's arms. They exchange again in close, and clinch once more. Nothing happens. The ref has to break them again. Coldwater isn't mounting much offense as he waits. The round ends.

Round two starts faster. Mason lands a very nice hook to open up. Coldwater comes right back with a couple of shots. Mason doesn't press and Coldwater gets his senses back as both fighters continue to circle each other. Both fighters come in close for an exchange, but neither is able to get the upper hand. Mason lands a looping punch from the outside that rattles Coldwater again. Coldwater tries to find an angle, maybe for a takedown, but can't find any. The round ends without any more action.

The final round begins and Coldwater has to come out fast. He looks like he is looking for a takedown, but some good shots from Mason keep him back. Mason lands another good shot, and is being very wary of Coldwater trying to find space for another takedown. Mason lands some more shots from the outside, and Dusty just cannot find the strikes here, or the space to shoot for the takedown. The fight ends.

All three judges score the fight 30-27 for The Hunter.

“Doomvan” Alex Donovan
23, 6'3” 1-1

v.

“The British Buzzsaw” Anthony Lee
22, 6'0” 1-0

Blurcat predicts Donovan by submission

Both men start slow as they look to see what the other has. Lee is able to force the clinch and both men grapple for position. Lee uses a trip and gets Donovan to the ground, but stays up. He pushes his legs aside and goes for side, but Donovan is too quick and gets up, while pushing Lee to the ground. Donovan is in guard, and tries to stand and throws a couple of blows. Lee goes for an armbar, but Donovan defends that easily and lands a couple more shots. Donovan moves toward side control but Lee tries to get up, but gets pinned on the cage. He is open for a couple more shots from Donovan. Donovan tries to get one of the arms, and then works for a crucifix on Lee. Lee eventually succumbs to the assault but by now the round is over.

Round two sees Donovan start with a shot, but Lee returns with a brutal leg kick. Donoavn backs off, and they exchange blows again. They exchange a second time, and for a third time before Lee is able to grab the clinch. Lee hits a knee, takes a shot, then pushes Donovan all the way back to the cage where he lands another knee. Donovan and Lee wrestle around, back and forth, and Lee gets another punch off. There is a stalemate, and the ref breaks them up. They exchange again and Lee hits a solid shot on the nose, that backs off Donovan and the round ends.

Donovan starts round three waiting to see what happens. Lee throws a big right, and moves Donovan back to the cage. Lee steps in and throws another shot, but Donovan throws inside of that, and Lee is tagged on the chin. Lee goes down stunned, and Donovan dives in for the finish, but Lee defends, and pulls guard. Donovan stands for some GnP, and Lee takes a couple of shots. Donovan is able to control the fight from the top and he works for a submission. Lee does his best to defend, but Donovan is gaining inch by inch. Another crucifix attempt for Donovan, and he gets it, but Lee holds out long enough for the fight to end.

All three judges score it 29-28 for Doomvan Donovan.

“Anvil Hands” Brian Johnson
24, 6'1” 2-0

v.

“The Windmill” Windy Miller
22, 5'5”, 1-0

Blurcat predicts Miller by decision

Round one is marked with boxing from both men, Miller hit the best shot of the round, and Johnson looked frustrated that he couldn't get away from the troll. They clinch with Johnson hitting a knee, and taking a couple of shots to the stomach. And the round ends with the fighters clinched.

Round two begins with more boxing and Johnson is attacking harder here. He lands a couple and then moves away, lands again and keeps Miller from loading up his big shots. Johnson continues to pick Miller off with his boxing, and Miller switches tactics and starts throwing some kicks instead. Where last round saw Miller doing better with his boxing, this round Johnson has been much better.

Round three starts slow. Both men look a little gassed at this point. Miller starts with a missed punch then Johnson answers with a jab that does. Miller takes another jab then tries to close the space and comes forward. Johnson lands a perfect roundhouse to the head and Miller is shaken, but he doesn't go down. He covers up and Johnson attacks with everything he has. Miller continues to hold on and clinches up smothering the attack. Miller lands a hard knee in the clinch, and Johnson looks winded from that exchange. They break and Miller lands another shot. How did he manage to survive that? The fight comes to an end.

30-27, 29-28, 29-28 all for “Anvil Hands” Brian Johnson

The first fight has to be looked at as a second chance for two fighters who have been dissapointing in their short FOFC MMA careers. Williams lost his fights to Sander and Action Jackson, while Alexander lost to CW Nielsen and Doomvan Donovan. The only fight not to go the distance was the Nielsen – Alexander fight where Alexander was TKOed but was winning the fight before that. This fight should go the distance. Both men are fairly well matched, if Alexander can get it to the ground he will have the advantage, while Williams will have the advantage as long as he can stay up.

The second fight features the make it or break it fight for Rohan Shah. Shah has a big height and reach advantage, and if he can get the fight to the ground should be able to control the fight. What he has to be careful of is Fillion's stand up. Fillion is shorter and can is still strong, and can land hard shots from underneath. And of course, he has a score to settle as he is trying to make up for being TKOed in his last fight in under a minute. Both men can change the direction of their careers with a win here.

Fight three features the strength and ground attack of Bruce Douglas with the stand up and well rounded assault that the Hunter brings to a fight. Both men are big, so size won't be a factor here. Douglas was beaten in his first fight by Anvil Hands, but rebounded to win a decision over Rohan Shah in his last fight. The Hunter lost his initial fight by submission to Flamebeard, but was able to rebound against a tough Dusty Coldwater. Douglas has to watch out for Mason's good boxing and muay thai skills, but he should be able to control the fight if it goes to the ground. The winner will have a good bit of momentum and will position themselves well to challenge for the title.

The last fight features two men who will be pretty even in a stand up fight. Both men are good boxers and the chances of this fight going to the ground are slim and none. Both men like to counter and pick holes, so this could be a classic counter punching fight. If the fight goes longer the advantage should be with Sander, as Fillion isn't built to go long. If there was a fight that wasn't going to go the distance it would be this one. Sander's only win was a narrow decision over Williams, but he lost to Nielsen in his last fight. For Fillion he filled in for his brother and scored a win over Doomvan Donovan, but was TKOed by Anvil Hands in his last fight. This should be a good contest.

“The Canadian” John Williams
23, 6'2” 0-2

v.

“Magnificent” Matt Alexander
24, 6'1” 0-2

Blurcat likes Alexander by submission

Alexander comes out fast, he seems like he knows what this fight means. He throws a combination but it is dealt with easily by Williams. Williams responds with a good counter. Williams throws a kick that is caught by Alexander who puts him on his back. Williams is using his guard well, and won't let him pass. Some good work on the ground by Alexander, and after a couple of attempts he has side control, but even from there Williams is doing a good job of defending. The ref has to pull Matt off of John as the round ends.

Alexander starts a little slower, and both men are looking for an opening. Both men trade jabs, and Williams moves in to throw a punch, but Alexander shoots and gets the double-leg takedown, putting Williams on his back again. Williams has a good guard, defends the punches that come from Magnificent Matt. Alexander gets a leg free, and uses his elbows to do some damage. Alexander pushes down and drives his knee into Williams' back. He lands another damaging knee and moves all the way to side control. Williams is in trouble, and fights get back to guard, but Alexander is controlling the position. Alexander lands another driving knee, and then moves to an armlock, but Williams defends. Williams has done the best that he can, but Alexander has just been way to good in controlling the ground.

Round three opens slow with both men waiting. Alexander starts the action, but Williams blocks well. Alexander gets sloppy and Williams lands a good punch, and a mouse forms under Alexander's eye. Alexander tries a good shot, but Williams beats him to the punch with a kick and a pair of blows. Williams senses his advantage and presses the fighter. A few more shots before Alexander clinches up. He is getting beaten up pretty good here. Alexander goes for a trip, but Williams gets out of there. They clinch again. Alexander is slowing this fight down. And he survives the fight.

Judges score the fight 30-27(?), and two 29-28's for Magnificent Matt Alexander

v.

“Silent Assassin” Rohan Shah
22, 6'2” 0-2

Blurcat likes Fillion by TKO

Fillion comes out like he always does, pressing forward and trying to get underneath. Shah looks very relaxed and they trade. Shah fakes out Fillion and nails him with a hook. That fooled him. Fillion stumbles, but won't go down, and he clinches up with Shah. Fillion lands a good knee, but can't keep Shah from using a trip to put him on his back. Shah immediately moves to side control, and goes for the armbar. That was fast! Fillion defends as well as he can, and gets him to break it. Fillion keeps him at bay with up-kicks, and Shah lets him back up. The clinch up again, and the round ends without any more punches.

Round two starts good for Shah. His punches force Fillion to back up to the cage. Shah lands a hook, and Fillion grabs the clinch. Fillion lands a couple of good knees, and is holding Shah very tight. Both men are struggling to get the advantage in this strength contest. The ref finally breaks them up. Fillion shocks the world by shooting in and taking Shah down to the mat. Fillion tries to move to side position, but Shah is patient and defending well. His patience pays off, and Fillion over commits himself. Shah sweeps him and gets side control of his own. Shah quickly lands a hard punch to the mouth of Fillion, and another. “Tiny” Bruce Douglas
21, 6'3” 1-1

v.

“The Hunter” Jace Mason
24, 6'2” 1-1

Blurcat likes Douglas by submission

Douglas doesn't hide his ambitions at all here. Shooting and taking Mason down to start. Mason quickly escapes though, without taking any damage. Mason tries a couple of hard punches, but the second misses, leaving him off balance. Douglas connects with a hard hook. That backs Mason off. Mason comes forward again, but Douglas backs off. Douglas catches a kick and puts Mason on the ground for the second time. Douglas tries to improve his position, but Mason does a good job. Douglas uses his long arms to throw punches, and Mason keeps him from getting side control. That continues for the rest of the round.

Mason starts round two with a kick that is checked by Douglas. The clinch, but only for a second. A couple of sloppy shots from both men. They clinch again, and this time Douglas lands a good knee, and muscles Mason to the cage. Mason lands a good shot and gets Douglas to break the clinch. This round looks like all striking. Douglas gets the next flurry in. A solid shot to the body lands. Mason charges hard, forcing Douglas to back up. Mason gets another good shot in, but then eats a jab. Mason moves in lands another couple, then dodges a huge uppercut from Douglas. Douglas comes right back with a solid right that nails Mason right in the kisser. Mason goes down and Douglas is all over him. Douglas drops hammerfists over and over until the ref finally stops the fight. The time of the fight is 3:49.

v.

“Le Rat Musque” Yanick Fillion
24, 6'0” 1-1

Blurcat likes Sander by TKO

Round one starts with both men being very careful. They trade light jabs. Fillion misses with an uppercut that was thrown from so far away if Sander didn't get out of way something was wrong. Sander throws some body shots, but sets up Fillion for a big hook. Fillion dodges out of the way deftly. Neither man is really doing anything at all. The trade blows, clinch for a short time until the ref breaks them up. The round ends. Boy that was a sad round.

Round two starts the same with both men circling each other. Fillion lands the first punches and shoves Sander back to the cage. He fires off three more shots, and Sander is on the defensive. A solid hook lands, and Sander clinches up. Both men struggle for the better position and almost go to the ground. Sander lands two hard knees from the clinch. As expected “The Canadian” John Williams has been released from his contract with FOFC MMA.

It's no surprise that “Anvil Hands” Brian Johnson is the FOFC fighter of the year. Anvil Hands went 3-0 and is in line for a shot at the FOFC MMA title. He will fight the winner of the Nielsen-Thomas fight.

The first post has been updated with current records, and a list of the fighters currently under contract with FOFC MMA. We still need new fighters, so feel free to fire them off. And we are still hopeful to get some newer faces from the board.

I still want to encourage everyone to look for some potential fights that your fighter might want, and make some open challenges accordingly. I know that everyone is still waiting for the title fight to take place and that will happen as soon as Niclovin is healthy again.

Thanks for reading and helping out with this endeavor.

This loss is nothing to me; I was sick for the whole week before the fight and I suffered a car accident on the way to the arena. And of course I was going to tap out when things started to drag out, I had a meeting at 10PM that I didn't want to miss.

The next fight is serious though, I don't want to lose my contract. And I'm ready for anyone; that's why I'm calling out "Tiny" Douglas. He won tonight, was the better fighter, but next time he won't have the same luck. Yeah, he's much bigger than I am, but I'm going to go inside and making wish he had become a pro at ballet instead.

Our opening fight sees the Dane, Erik Flamebeard take on the Methodical Matt Alexander. Alexander is coming off of his first win, while Flamebeard, who won his first, has lost two straight. Alexander is coming off of his first win where he dominated John Williams on the ground enroute to decision. Alexander has a very good ground game, and is good at capitalizing on an opponent's mistake. He won't press the fight. Flamebeard is the crazy dane, who won his first fight by submission but has since dropped two straight to strikers, Action Jackson and Windy Miller. Flamebeard will be happy to not be facing a technical boxer here. Look for the ground game to be important. If the fight stays up, Flamebeard could have the advantage.

Our second fight of the night has Tiny Bruce Douglas and his 6'3 frame take on Nicolas Fillion, all 5'9” of him. Douglas has won two in a row after his loss to Anvil Hands Johnson. His last fight was a TKO win over Jace Mason. Douglas has long arms, and legs and has the skills to do it on the ground. Fillion is more like a pitbull, he moves forward, he takes big shots, he gives big shots. He was TKOed inside of a minute by the British Buzzsaw, and submitted, but Rohan Shah. Fillion needs to show up in his one. He will need to get inside the big man, and take the fight to him. A ground contest could be interesting.

The next fight has muay thai fighter Anthony Lee take on the puncher Windy Miller. If technique is a factor then Lee should be the winner, but not to many can take the pull power of Windy Miller. Windy Miller is a hard charging brawler, he has fought two tough customers, losing to Anvil Hands and besting Erik Flamebeard. Lee on the other hand, holds a fast win over Nicolas Fillion and a loss in his last fight to the Doomvan, Alex Donovan. This fight should stay standing. Lee has a big height advantage here, and can really control the fight in the clinch. I would say that he just needs to be careful for Miller's power. If he can avoid that he should get the win.

Our main event tonight features the long awaited FOFC title qualification fight between Niclovin' and Coffee Warlord. Coffee has beaten Magnificent Matt by TKO, and Alec Sander by decision. Coffee's fights are frenetic. He is all over the place, and all parts of his body are dangerous striking weapons. Niclovin' is almost a total opposite with a submission win over Rohan Shah, and a decision win Dusty Coldwater. Thomas has been battling a head injury that he sustained in training, and hopes that he will ready to go here. Niclovin' is always in great shape, and exceptionally dangerous on the ground. He will need to be very careful while standing with Coffee, and he will need to be very aggressive with him if he can get him on his back. The winner here moves on to the title fight against Anvil Hands Brian Johnson.

One note, I have decided that three losses in a row might be a little harsh. I haven't had quite the signup list that I had intended so I will be trying to resign John WIlliams when he deicides that he wants to come back, and any other fighters who lose 3 in a row, will be kept as well. At the very least they will give us some blood for newcomers to fight when they sign up. If you have a fighter who isn't quite on the up and up, feel free to make a new one to compete right away.

One other note, due to the relatively low signup rate for this dynasty thus far, I would ask anyone to submit any number of fighters to populate our world.

Blurcat likes Flamebeard by TKO

Surprisingly, Alexander starts the fight off with a right and a leg kick. Flamebeard answers with some shots of his own, but Matt dives in for a takedown. Flamebeard sprawls, and the two engage in a power struggle. Flamebeard is able to flip him over for a takedown, and Alexander manages to pull guard. Flambeard tries to pass, but Alexander's defense is tough and he ties him up. Flambeard manages to pull off a big right, and Alexander does the best he can before tie him up again in a clinch. Alexander get's Flamebeards head, and tries the guillotine. Flambeard gets his head free, postures up and lands a couple of hard shots to the ribs. The ref finally has enough of that and stands them back up. Alexander really didn't take much damage there. Flamebeard throws a couple of punches. Those are answered with a kick from Matt. Flamebeard sees the opening and takes Magnificent Matt down for a second time. Flamebeard goes for side control, but Alexander's defense is still good. The round ends on the ground.

Round two stars sloppy. Both men exchange shots and then clinch up. The fight grinds to a standstill. The ref breaks them up, and it is Alexander who sees the opportunity, and fires off a handful of good shots. Flamebeard backs up and they clinch for a second time. The round ends with a disappointing finish.

The fighters come out and touch gloves. Flamebeard wants to finish the fight right now, but Alexander is very fast and moves out of the way. Alexander comes in with a punch followed by a kick that does some damage, and then he moves away again. Flamebeard loads up with a hard punch, but again, Alexander ducks it, and lands a solid body shot. The round continues this way with Flamebeard chasing Alexander around the cage, but not being able to catch him. Meanwhile, Alexander is hitting him with small, but accurate shots. Flamebeard finally lands a good kick, but Alexander answers with a jab and then moves away before the crazy dane can land another. The round ends here.

All three judges score the fight 29-28 all for “Magnificent” Matt Alexander

v.

“Le Bleuet” Nicolas Fillion

Douglas shoots for another takedown, but Fillion sprawls, and Douglas backs off. Fillion goes on the offensive with a series of hard shots that push the big man's back to the cage. They clinch up and things slow down. Douglas is still trying for a takedown, but Fillion won't let him, and Fillion can't get any good shots together before the round ends.

Fillion breaks the clinch, then responds with four hard punches up and down. Douglas throws a low kick, then misses with a hook. Wide open, Fillion responds with a well place hook of his own. Douglas goes down, but we was already off balance. Fillion dives on top to try and mount Tiny. Tiny isn't hurt that badly though, and he slips away and takes Fillion's back. Rob Nielsen sustained a minor head injury in last night's fight. He will be out for about 6 weeks. The injury is pretty minor. My guess is that it was his ego that was damaged most.

Windy Miller has to sit out 30 days for medical rest for being knocked out.

“Coffee Warlord” Rob Nielsen

v.

“Nicklovin'” Nicholas Thomas
26, 6'1” 2-0

Blurcat likes Nielsen by KO

Thomas moves forward and tries to land a punch. Nielsen ducks under it, and sneaks in with a waist-high takedown. Surprise! Thomas pulled guard and looks upset that he is on his back right now. Coffee fakes a punch to the face, and drills him in the chest. Nielsen tries to pass guard, but Thomas defends well, and drags him into a clinch. Niclovin pins Nielsen's arms to his side. Coffee works one arm free, but just as he moves, Niclovin switches arms, and quickly snaps his legs around Nielsen's other arm. Nielsen franticly tries to pull away and get out of this position. Things get worse for Nielsen, Thomas has the lock held in tightly. Finally, Nielsen taps and looks disgusted that he lost from the top position. The time of the fight was 0:56 of round one.

Our first fight sees the debut of Brazilian fighter Renzon Garrincha. El Serpente has been training in BJJ for his entire life. He is considered to be very dangerous on the ground. His opponent for this fight is Dusty Coldwater. Coldwater will give Garrincha a good workout. He is known for taking his opponents the distance and trying to get the win slowly over the course of the fight. Coldwater has lost his last two fights, and could really be tested in this one. It should also be a good fight for El Serpente too. Coldwater has a solid backround in MMA, he also has more experience.

The second fight of the night has Jace “ The Hunter” Mason trying to even his record against the Mustrat. Mason has done the least with the most at this point. He was TKOed and Submitted in his two losses. His only win came over Dusty Coldwater in FOFC 5. The good thing for him is that his opponent will want to stand and bang with him. Yanick Fillion has dropped two in a row after his first win over Doomvan Donovan. Fillion has been knocked out and TKOed in his last two, Mason has the power and ability to make it three in a row. Fillion will try and keep Mason outside, where his knee strikes won't be as deadly. Mason's loves to clinch and Fillion gets in to trouble when the fight is close. Look for a standing slugfest here, plenty of action and someone going out.

The third fight of the night has two of the top contenders in FOFC MMA. Alec Sander is coming off of a KO win over Yanick Fillion. Both men have the same record, but it is Doomvan who has more momentum. His loss to Yanick Fillion was his only one, and since then he has won two in a row. Both men are pretty well rounded MMA fighters. Doomvan should have the slight advantage on the ground and Sander should have the advantage if it stays up. Sander's only loss was to Rob Nielsen, when he lost in a decision in his best fight to date. A winner here, will at the very least, put themselves in a position to fight in a #1 contender fight. This fight should be very important to both men.

The main event is the long awaited FOFC MMA Title fight. Fourteen fights have gotten us to this place. And yet, certain fighters have been screwed out of the chance, but for right now. These are the two best fighters in FOFC MMA. Anvil Hands Johnson beat BJJ specialist Tiny Douglas, and sluggers Yanick Fillion and Windy Miller. While his path has been easier, he has gotten here with two TKO's and a decision. For Niclovin', he had wins over submission artist Rohan Shah, a decision win over Dusty Coldwater, and a fast submission win over Coffee Warlord. In between he sustained and recovered from a fairly serious head injury, and now puts it all on the line against Anvil Hands. Thomas has good BJJ skills that have only gotten better over the last year. He will be deadly on the ground. Johnson has a solid wrestling background and possesses great power in his punches and slams. Thomas will need to take Johnson down, and get him on his back. If he can do that he should win. If Johnson can stay up, or make it a grapplefest he should be the better man.

“Dammit” Dusty Coldwater
23, 6'0” 1-2

v.

Renzo “El Serpente” Garrincha
23, 6'1” 0-0

Blurcat likes Garrincha by split-decision.

We open the show with the two fighters touching gloves and then circling the cage. Coldwater throws a couple of good jabs, and a right. Garrincha ducks it, trips over his feet. He gets his balance back before Dusty can get in. Dusty throws a big right hand, but misses and Renzo hits a couple more shots. Dusty clinches up, and Dusty looks a little stunned. The ref breaks the clinch without a whole lot happening. Coldwater presses Renzo back to the cage and tries to keep him pinned, and loads up a big punch. Renzon ducks the shot and hits a hard shot to the stomach and slips out. Coldwater turns fast looking to score quickly, but Renzo is in perfect position, and hits a hard punch that puts Coldwater on one knee. Dusty fights through and holds his own. Coldwater tries to go back on the offensive, but nothing comes of it, and the round ends.

Round two opens with Coldwater starting again. Renzo again is to quick and hits a good body shot. Renzo charges in and hits a couple more shots home. Dusty lands a kick, and Renzo backs off. Both men meet in the center of the cage and start trading blow for blow. The crowd goes crazy. Coldwater took a good shot and was shaken a little. Coldwater clinches again, and things slow down. The ref finally breaks them, but a lot of time has passed. Not much offense the rest of the round, but no real damage done.

The final round begins with Renzo firing off three good shots, but nothing did any damage. Dusty his a low kick to the legs. It doesn't deter Renzo though, and he quickly shoots in for a takedown. Dusty manages to keep his balance and Renzo only gets one leg. Renzo pushes, but Dusty stays up until his back is on the cage. He finally goes down in good position. Renzo is in half guard. Renzo lands a couple of good shots and tries to work toward a kimura. It's not a good position though, and Dusty tries to escape up the cage. Renzo pins him though, and uses a trip to put him back down. This time in full guard. Coldwater can't escape again and the fight ends here.

All three judges score the fight 30-27 for Renzo “El Serpente” Garrincha

“The Hunter” Jace Mason
25, 6'2” 1-2

v.

“Le Rat Musque” Yanick Fillion
25, 6'0” 1-2

Blurcat likes Fillion by KO

The fight starts with a quick exchange followed by the Muskrat shoots in and takes Mason to the ground. Fillion is in full guard, and he stands and tries to drop a bomb, but misses. He hits the next one though, but leaves it in to long, and Mason goes for the armbar. Mason sweeps him and now finds himself in Fillion's guard. Yanick's guard is good, and he keeps Mason from hitting him. Mason lands a hard shot to the body, and another in the same spot. Fillion drags him back into a clinch. Mason lands two more good shots and Fillion is doing his best to to hang in there. Mason is really piling on the shots here. He stands again and tries another bomb, Fillion tries to land the triangle but Mason pulls away, before the round ends.

The second round begins slowly. The fighters clinch up and Fillion trips Mason and takes him to the ground. Fillion stays up and picks his spot. Now he dives in and gets side control. Mason is ready though, and he quickly moves away, and again outsmarts Fillion. Mason shoves him down and ends up in full guard. Fillion is holding the guard high, perhaps looking for another triangle. He throws another bomb and and walks right into the triangle. Mason spends the next few moments trying to fight it off. He does and Fillion hits a couple of hard shots from the bottom. Mason answers that with four frightening and wicked shots that land. Fillion covers up and tries to survive. Fillion moves his guard up again, and then goes for an escape, but Mason drops another hammer on him and he goes back down. Mason has really done a lot of damage in this round.

The last round stars with Mason coming out fast, but reckless. He misses and takes a couple of shots from Fillion. The go toe to toe in the middle and both men look a little dazed. Fillion is the first to press forward again, and lands a kick and a few punches that for Mason back to the cage. Mason tries to keep him at bay, but Fillion charges in and hits two big shots Fillion lands another big blow to the body. Mason clinches up, but nothing happens there and the ref finally has to break them up. Mason hits a low kick Fillion goes for broke at the end, and Mason does a good job of avoiding it.

All three judges score the fight 29-28 all for Jace Mason.

“Smart” Alec Sander
24, 5'11” 2-1

v.

Alex “Doomvan” Donovan
24, 6'3” 2-1

Blurcat likes Donovan by submission

Fight three begins slowly. Both men apparently are waiting. They exchange blows twice with Sander coming out on top. Donovan shoots in for a takedown, but Sander is quick enough and Doomvan only gets one leg. Sander thumps him twice on the head, but Donovan tries to complete the takedown. Sander manages to escape. Donovan throws a punch and shoots in again. Sander sprawls and Donovan is forced to give it up. Sander goes on the offensive and lands three or four shots in response. Sander lands a good shot to the body, and clinches up. Nothing happens in the clinch, Sander's defense was good enough to keep Doomvan from coming in again.

The second round starts with Sander coming out fast, pushing Doomvan all the way to the back of the cage. Sander hits a couple of shots, but stays back. Donovan answers and Sander is forced to back off. The trade in the center again, with Sander again getting the better of it. Apparently, the height advantage hasn't help Donovan at this point. Donovan shoots in again, but Sander escapes cleanly. Sander lands a couple more punches, but Doomvan ignores it and shoot again. He gets one leg, but eventually has to give it up again, and gets a clinch. Donovan goes for a trip, but Sander escapes and breaks free of the clinch. Donovan follows close behind and lands two jabs. Sander answers with a big right, that shakes Doomvan and he stops in his tracks. Donovan doesn't go down. Donovan kicks out, Sander moves in to strike, but Donovan finally has a good shot, and takes Sander to the ground. Sander pulls guard, but Donovan runs out time in the round.

Round three starts slowly. Over a minute without any activity at all. Each man is looking for an angle, but both are being very wary of the other. They punch each other, then fall into a clinch. The ref breaks them up. Donovan ducks out of the way, and then steps back and just avoids an uppercut. They come together in the middle again and trade blows. Sander takes a hard blow to the chin and he stumbles back and drops to the floor. Donovan pounces and hits two powerful blows, Sander is on dream street. The ref dives in to keep him from taking any more damage. The replays show that the ref may have been early in his stoppage. The time is 2:45.

“Anvil Hands” Brian Johnson
24, 6'1” 3-0

v.

Nicholas “Niclovin'” Thomas
26, 6'1” 3-0

Blurcat likes Thomas by submission

Johnson starts quick, with some light shots, then he comes in and forces Thomas back to the cage where they clinch. Johnson hits a body shot, but takes two to the head. Thomas tries a trip to get to the ground, but Johnson defends. They break and Johnson narrowly dodged a huge right from Niclovin. Johnson answers with a good right, then unleashes a wicked uppercut. Thomas moves out of the way at the last second. Thomas has his back against the cage, but Johnson doesn't stop there. He moves in with a series of jabs. Thomas throws some of his own to buy some time and keep Anvil Hands back. Anvil Hands feigns with the left then powers a huge right through. It caught Thomas square in the face. He drops like a stone to the cage. Johnson doesn't let up and nails at least three more before the ref can pull him off. Thomas wasn't knocked out, but he wasn't ok either. The time is 9:39.

“Anvil Hands” reigns supreme at the top of the FOFC MMA heap, as its reigning champion. Now the real fun beings.

Niclovin' sustained a concussion in last nights fight. He will be out of action for more than a couple of months. This is Niclovin's second major head injury inside a year. Experts are concerned about his health, or that he may not be long for this sport if he keeps getting concussions.

Here are the fights that we can expect to see. I have to qualify that there are two very interesting size differences here. On paper they look like lopsided fights, but I really wonder if they are.

Nicolas “Le Bleuet” Fillion 0-3 v. “The Freak” Klaus Benetoros 0-0
Windy “The Windmill” Miller 1-2 v. “Silent Assassin” Rohan Shah 1-2
“The British Buzzsaw” Anthony Lee 2-1 v. Theodore “Action” Jackson 2-1

In our opening fight of the night we will see the debut of the biggest fighter in FOFC MMA. Klause “The Freak” Benetoros. The Freak stands at 6'6” but it is going to look like 7'0” to the people in attendance. That is because he will face off against Nicolas Fillion, who only stands 5'9”. Fillion, who hasn't won a fight yet, has a tall (sorry) order on his hands in this fight. He is fighting a pure striker, who makes extensive use of his feet, and sometimes his hands. His long body allows strikes from a great distance away, but if Fillion can get inside, he is going to have one big target to aim for. You know that you will see Fillion move forward to press the action, but how will he fare against the kickboxer?

Our next fight sees another tremendous size mismatch. Rohan Shah tries to get his second victory as he takes on Windy Miller. Miller is the shortest competitor at 5'5” tall. Shah will have to wade through dangerous punches to get to Miller, and get him to the ground. If this fight stays on the feet, Shah will have some trouble. Miller loves to come forward and swing his arms like a drunken Englishman. Shah will have to be careful to avoid being overwhelmed.

The third fight should be an exciting one. Action Jackson will face the British Buzzsaw in this test of chins. Jackson will want to keep the fight on the outside, where he can make the best of his strong punches. Lee will want to get the fight close, where his Muay Thai skills will take over. The Buzzsaw has deadly knees in the clinch and can change the course of the entire fight. Neither fighter should be looking to take it to the ground, if it does it will be interesting to see what happens as neither fighter has very good skills there.

The last fight of the night sees the return of Coffee Warlord to the cage. Submitted in quick fashion in his last fight the man standing in front of him tonight will be harder and easier at the same time. He will fight Tiny Bruce Douglas. An imposing man, who nearly matches strength with Nielsen. Douglas can fare better in a striking contest, but should the fight go to the ground Nielsen will need to worry as Douglas' skills in jiu jitsu are still quite formidable. We know the Nielsen has many weapons when the fight is standing, and that alone makes him much more dangerous as long as the fight stays standing.

FIGHT ONE

Nicolas “Le Bleuet” Fillion
21, 5'9” 0-3

v.

Klause “The Freak” Benetoros
22, 6'6” 0-0

Blurcat likes Fillion by TKO

Fillion begins the striking affair coming forward and throwing punches. He gets inside and they clinch against the cage. They break free and then come right back together. Fillion moves in with a right hand inside. Klause tries to answer, but his punch is dodged, and Fillion makes quick work inside landing two to the body. We get a Rocky moment here, and both men launch blows toward each other, and somehow, it is Fillion who lands and does the damage. The Freak's hands drop and he looks in trouble. Fillion lands another and it drops the big man hard. The ref stops the fight before he can do any more damage. The time is 1:37. And Fillion gets his first win.

Windy “The Windmill” Miller
23, 5'5” 1-2

v.

“Silent Assassin” Rohan Shah
23, 6'2” 1-2

Blurcat like Miller by decision

They start tentatively, circling each other, Shah is being particularly careful. Miller begins throwing and Shah backs up, all the way to the cage. Miller throws a few, and Shah covers up. Miller lands to the body, and Shah clinches up. Shah hits a couple of knees and the struggle almost sees the go to the ground. Shah is clearly trying to keep this fight in a clinch. The ref finally breaks the clinch without anything really happening. Both men trade blows, and both men land some good punches. Shah misses on an uppercut and leaves himself wide open for the hook that Miller throws. He takes hit cleanly on the chin. His head really snapped back after that hit. His hands drop, and Miller lands another solid blow. Shah still doesn't go down and a third big shot lands, before the ref has finally seen enough. Shah wasn't able to defend himself. The time of the fight is 7:39. Too bad Shah couldn't find the opening he needed to take it to the mat.

“The British Buzzsaw” Anthony Lee
23, 6'0” 2-1

v.

Theodore “Action” Jackson
29, 6'1” 2-1

Blurcat like Jackson by TKO

We know what to expect here. We start with punches right away. Lee throws some wide shots, and Jackson backs off to the cage. A hook from Lee, and Jackson clinches. Jackson throws a couple of shots in the clinch, and they both land. The ref breaks the clinch without Lee able to get in any of the fantastic knees. Both men regain their breath, and Jackson lands 4 solid jabs that all land. Jackson comes forward again, hoping to land some more. What he doesn't see is the roundhouse that lands. You see him tense as he sees it out of the corner of his eyes, but that's all. Jackson is stunned. Lee hits a hard right, and Jackson drops to the floor. Lee dives in, and reigns down more damage, but the ref is in quickly to prevent Jackson from getting seriously hurt. The time of the fight is 3:29.

Wow! Three fights, three first round TKO's. What is in store for the last one?

“Tiny” Bruce Douglas
21, 6'3” 3-1

v.

“Coffee Warlord” Rob Nielsen
22, 6'1 2-1

Blurcat like Nielsen by KO

Douglas starts with a lead right, followed by a kick. Neither seemed to bother Nielsen. The clinch, break and trade jabs, and fall right back into a clinch. Nielsen drives a knee home and presses Douglas back to the cage. Douglas landed a hard right, as Nielsen was making space. That landed well. Nielsen responds with three fast jabs, and a hook to the body. Douglas throws a lazy kick, that Nielsen dodges. CW responds with a quick jab. Douglas moves to throw his own, but again, Nielsen moves out of the way, and lands a hard body shot, and then another. We get another Rocky moment......and it's CW who is able to land his hard punch. Douglas is stunned as he lowers his defenses. Nielsen lands a beauty of a right and Tiny hits the floor. Nielsen turns his back and walks away, even before the ref dives in. He knows how this fight ends. The time is 5:44.

Can you believe that? Four fights, four first round TKO's! That doesn't happen very often at all.

Rohan Shah suffered a concussion in his fight last night. Miller does literally, hit like a ton of bricks.

Klause The Freak suffered a knee injury that will see him out of training for 9 weeks. That can't be good for a kickboxer.

Nicolas Fillion suffered some sort of eye injury. Those are always disconcerting. He will be out for a few weeks, but rumors are that could change.

5) Very strong mentally (tactical and methodical)

He has an unusual fighting style when standing, as he keeps his arms far forward and mainly tries to avoid contact with his opponent. He instead concentrates on taking him down, where he really is at his most dangerous. He is very patient and doesn't care if the crowd doesn't enjoy his fights; as long as he comes out the winner. You better tap, cause he won't hesitate to break your bones.

Headlining the fight will be FOFC title holder Brian Johnson taking on Alex “Doomvan” Donovan.

Johnson has won all 4 of his fights, with the last being a TKO over Niclovin' to win the title. Three of his 4 fights have been stoppages, but the quality of his opponent has been in question until the title fight. His opponent here will be the Doomvan. Doomvan lost his first fight in a decision, but since has beaten quality opponens in Matt Alexander, Anthony Lee, and Alec Sander. Only his last fight, a TKO over Sander has not gone the distance. Doomvan, like Niclovin' can take the fight on the ground, but unlike Niclovin' has much better standup. Johnson is big, and strong, and isn't easily bullied around.

The undercard features The Hunter, Jace Mason, taking on Magnificent Matt Alexander. Both men have identical 2-2 records, and both are coming off of wins. Both men can get a little bit more respect with a win in this fight. For Mason, he's been knocked out, and submitted, and both of his wins have gone the distance. So he has had some difficulty finishing fights. For Alexander, he lost his first couple of fights, but both of those were to CW, and the Doomvan. His wins have both gone the distance as well. What is in store for these men? Alexander is going to look to take the fight to the mat, while Mason possesses the better striking game. Mason has to watch out for Magnificent Matt's technical game.

The second undercard fight is a showdown between Flamebeard, and Coldwater. Neither man has much respect at 1-3, but both men feel that they deserve some. Flamebeard has dropped three in a row since his submission win over Jace Mason, while Dusty Coldwater, has taken each fight to the distance, and lost his last three as well. Both men are decent all arounders, so this fight could take place anywhere. Flamebeard is monumentally stronger, but that doesn't mean he's better.

The opener of the fight is the debut of African fighter Kwame Shy Guy. Kwame is a total unknown although experts point to his long, lean body, and possible outside striker, grappler physique. His opponent is going to be Yanick Fillion. Fillion, also coming off of three defeats in a row, the last at the hands of Jace Mason. He does hold a win over tonights title challenger, Doomvan Donovan, however. I am sure that he wishes it was he who was fighting Anvil Hands for the title tonight, instead of the Doomvan. Fillion is a better stand up fighter. It will be interesting to see how these two match up.

25, 6'0”, 205

v.

“Mr Shy Guy” Kwame Mwakikagile (0-0)
25, 6'3”, 205

Round one starts off with Fillion trying to stay back, He throws a number of punches from the outside, not wanting to get tied up with Kwame. Kwame shoots twice looking for the takedown, but Fillion sprawls well enough to stay up. Fillion's strikes are getting the better of the fight. Kwame shoots again, but only manages a leg, he moves up to clinch where he tries for a trip, but fails. Fillion still is the more effective striker but he can't keep Kwame away for long, and is finally taken down, the round ends before he can really sustain any damage.

Round two, starts much the same. Fillion gets taken down much earlier, but scrambles up quickly, and moves away. Kwame presses and takes him down again. Kwame looks for the submission, but Fillion is holding on. Kwame throws a couple elbows and looks for another sub as he contols the action.

Round three sees Fillion go on the offensive early to try and keep Kwame back. They end up clinched against the cage, where Kwame again unsuccessfully goes for a trip. Both fighers go back to space, and each tries some outside shots. Fillion manages to catch the African coming in with a punch that knocks Kwame silly. The ref jumps in to stop the fight at 3:51 of the third round.

Erik “EFOTNHNT” Flamebeard (1-3)
25, 5'11”, 205

v.

“Dammit” Dusty Coldwater (1-3)
23, 6'0”, 205

Coldwater stars out like a ball of fire against the Dane. He throws two huge punches and another, forcing Flamebeard back. Flamebeard continues to back off as Coldwater aggressively presses the fight. Flamebeard catches him coming in and hits a great punch. Coldwater goes down and Flamebeard follows. Coldwater is able to pull guard, and defend, while Flambeard doesn't press, but sits back and loads up for some big shots. Dusty tries a couple of escapes but the powerful Dane controls him easily until the round ends.

Round two sees Flamebeard come out quickly looking for the finish. He lands solidly, knocking Dusty off balance and causing him to misfire with his own punch. Dusty is left wide open for another brutal blow and is knocked down again. Still he pulls guard, and manages good defense. Every offense the Flamebeard tries is being thwarted by Dusty's good defense. There is enough action that the ref keeps them on the ground. But neither man is really doing anything. Flamebeard controls the action, but can't improve his position and lands effectively enough, while Dusty can't seem to escape but isn't taking that much damage.

Round three starts with Coldwater sensing he is behind and coming out fast. Coldwater moves in gets a leg and pushes Flamebeard to the cage. Flamebeard defends well, and even manages to escape only to be put back on the ground. Coldwater controls the action, but doesn't do anything that would finish fight. It goes to the cards.

“The Hunter” Jace Mason (2-2)
25, 6'2”, 205

v.

“Magnificent” Matt Alexander (2-2)
25, 6'1”, 205

The first round is a waste. Both men circle and throw shitty punches from the outside. The ref yells at them, but it doesn't motivate either one.

Round two, starts just like the round one. A lot of circling, some punches some kicks, no action. The clinch a bit on the cage, where Mason hits a knee, but it doesn't do much. They break again, and back to circling. Mason finally lands a couple shots at the end. Matt answers but neither man does much.

Round three is a surprise. Alexander drives forward, and moves Mason back to the cage. Getting good position he sends Mason to the ground. Alexander gets side control. Mason tries to escape but makes a mistake that Alexander capitalizes on. Matt grabs the arm, and tries for the armbar. Mason turns him over and starts throwing punches to try and get free. Alexander only sinks it in deeper. Finally, Mason taps out at 0:48 of the third.

Brian “Anvil Hands” Johnson (4-0) FOFC Champ
25, 6'1”, 205

v.

Alex “Doomvan” Donovan (3-1)
24, 6'3”, 205

Johnson charges in, unafraid of Doomvan. Doomvan moves backward to defend, and Johnson hits a couple shots to the body that causes Doomvan to wince. A grappling war ensues, with both men fighting for position. Donovan hits a couple of knees, and tries to keep Anvil close. The ref breaks them up with no action. Huge action from both men, lots of shots and in the end, Doomvan drops to the ground. He is out cold. Johnson landed a huge right, and Donovan couldn't take all of it. Johnson wins and retains his FOFC Title at 8:45 of round 1.

Two months time has passed and it is now October, 2010.

The Main Event is a #1 contenders match featuring, “Buzzsaw” Anthony Lee (3-1), and Rob “CW” Nielsen (3-1). Lee has won his last two fights and all three of his fights have been by KO or TKO. Lee's only loss was to the Doomvan in 3 rounds. Nielsen is on the rebound from his loss to Niclovin' where he was submitted. All three of his wins have been against ground based fighters, two by TKO and one went the distance. Lee will need to keep this fight close, and keep CW closer, he is slippery, and fast, and a very accurate striker. Lee is no striking slouch, and is deadly in the clinch. If he can slow CW down, he can control the fight. The winner will be next in line for the shot at the FOFC title.

The supporting Main Event will be the return of Niclovin' (3-1). His first fight since his crushing loss to Johnson, and the first since his injury. He will face “Tiny” Bruce Douglas (3-2) in his return. Douglas is on the rebound after his loss to CW, and both men are looking to get back on the winning track. Both men are good ground based fighters. Both are very similar in that regard.

The second fight on the card will see “Smart” Alec Sander (2-2) and untested “El Serpente” Renzo Garrincha (1-0). Sander has been on again, off again, and is coming off of a loss to Doomvan.. To be fair, his other loss was to CW. El Serpente is in his second fight off of his debut win against Dusty Coldwater. Garrincha is a very ground based fighter. His BJJ skills are to be respected, while Sander can hold his own standing or on the ground. For sure, both men will be tested in this encounter.

The opener features Theodore “Action” Jackson (2-2) and his power game taking on the “Freak” Klaus Benetoros (0-1). Both men are primarily stand up fighters. Benetoros has the big legs, and powerful kicks, while Jackson is just plain powerful. If this fight goes to the ground nobody has any idea what will happen. Both mel much prefer to stand and bang. Jackson has won one fight by KO and the other on the cards. His last fight saw him TKOed by Buzzsaw. He has to think that a win against Buzzsaw would have him in the main event tonight instead of Buzzsaw. Benetoros has a tough opponent in his second career fight. It should be exciting.

A striking match ensues to start the fight. Jackson brings the Freak close to take away the size advantage. Nothing really gets going though, as they stay clinched. Klaus uses a knee, while a nice punch from Jackson gets them to break. More striking from both, while Klaus smothers Jackson and drags him to the cage in the clinch again. A stunning uppercut lands from The Freak and it stuns Jackson. The Freak wails away, and Jackson has no answer. The ref finally jumps in and calls a stop to the fight. The Freak wins in the first with a TKO at 4:44.

“Smart” Alec Sander (2-2)
24, 5'10”, 205

v.

“El Serpente” Renzo Garrincha (1-0)
23, 6'1”, 205

Round one starts with Renzo taking Sander down immediately, but he escapes and is quickly back to his feet. Sander stalks Renzo and opens up with a couple hard shots. A followup kick is caught by Renzo, and Renzo takes him to the mat. Renzo spends the next few minutes trying to pass guard, but Sander is able to stop him. The round ends just before the ref was going to stand them up.

Round two, starts similarly to round one. Sander throwing some strikes, and walking right into a takedown. Sander escapes , but is eventually put on the ground again, this time for the end of the round. Pretty boring, but Sander's lack of offense and his inability to keep Renzo from taking him down are taking it's toll.

Round three. Neither man is able to mount much offense while standing. A couple of punches, a clinch. Sander looks like he is able to mount some offense here, with some good body shots. Sander shoots for a takedown! What a surprise move there! Renzo quickly switches position though, and pushes Sander down, and takes his back at the same time! Renzo jumps him and slaps the rear naked choke and a body triangle on at the same time. Sander is fighting it, but it's no use. He finally taps at 8:27 of round 3.

“Tiny” Bruce Douglas (3-2)
22, 6'3”, 205

v.

Nicholas “Niclovin'” Thomas (3-1)
26, 6'1”, 205

Tiny starts off the fight taking it to Thomas. However, Niclovin' won't have any of it and moves out of the way. Thomas lands solidly to the body of Tiny. Niclovin' moves to the clinch, and scores a takedown via a trip. Niclovin' is showing his fine groundwork here, as he moves to half guard, but Tiny defends well, and is able to get it back. Thomas controls all the action and the round ends.

Round two starts with Nicklovin' on the offensive again, landing a couple shots and a kick, answered by Tiny with a jab, and then a wild left. Nicklovin' tries to take advantage and shoots for another takedown, but Tiny sprawls well. Niclovin tried to force it though, and is flipped by Douglas. It's Tiny on top, trying to move to pass. Thomas defends well, though, and it looks like they might be stood up. Douglas lands a couple hard shots, but Thomas tried a guillotine. Douglas escapes and lands another shot. The Ref stands them back up. Douglas' strikes keep Thomas at bay, while a slow kick from Niclovin' allows Douglas to sweep and take him down again. Douglas tries to pass quickly, but Thomas is still defending well. The round comes to an end, with Douglas having a better round, but Thomas taking virtually no damage.

The final round starts with Thomas again coming out fast. He goes right at Douglas. Douglas is backing up firing off some shots, but missing. A kick from Tiny is caught and he is taken down by Thomas. Like the other rounds, the man on top cannot better his position, as the defense of the other is too good. The fight ends with Niclovin' keeping control of the fight.

29-28 on all three cards for Nicholas “Niclovin'” Thomas

“The British Buzzsaw” Anthony Lee (3-1)
23, 6'0”, 205

v.

Rob “Coffee Warlord” Nielsen (3-1)
22, 6'1”, 205

CW goes right to the center of the cage, and motions for Lee to come at him. Clearly, he no fear of him. Lee stays back and fires some shots from the outside. Nielsen begins to press the action, stalking the other fighter. Lee fires a jab, and comes in for the clinch. CW lands a brutal right-left, looking to finish the fight. Lee backs off, and keeps moving away, trying to stay away from the bomb shots from CW. CW fires off another, but it misses. His power is really causing Lee to stay away.

Round two, sees both men circle, then meet in the cage, and clinch. Both men trade blows and the ref breaks them after that. CW presses forward again, Lee throws a wild haymaker, and CW fires off a quick counterpunch that lands above the ear. CW loads up and nails another hard shot, that is partially parried. Lee clinches up and looks to make some offense. Lee fires off a couple more shots, one really good that stuns CW. Nielsen responds by shoving Lee against the cage, and holding him with his left while firing off three hard shots with his right. Lee clinches again, it's really his only defense.

Round three see the least amount of action on either side. Lee tries to press, but is defended. CW tries to attack, but is defended. Neither fighter lands the big blow, and a clinch doesn't see Lee able to take advantage either. The fight ends here.

All three judges score the fight 30-27 for Rob Nielsen.

Here is a rundown of the expected fight card. The Main Event is a big rematch between Doomvan Alex Donovan (3-2), coming off of his loss in his title shot. He returns to face a man he has previously beaten, but who has improved, and is now on a three fight win streak, in Magnificent Matt Alexander (3-2). Doomvan won the first fight in a decision. He is looking to return to the top with a win over an up and coming contender in Matt Alexander. Magnificent Matt submitted Jace Mason in his last fight. Alexander clearly needs to get this fight to the ground, while Doomvan would like to stay up and use his striking skills.

The supporting fight on the card belongs to two fighters coming off of wins, but who are trying to build their run. Flamebeard (2-3) will take on Yanick Fillion (2-3). Flamebeard has the better grappling skills, but both men are powerful fighters who can win a striking fight. A win for either of these guys makes it 2 in a row.

The second fight of the night is between the other Fillion, Nicholas (1-3). And the Windmill, Windy Miller (2-2). Both men are coming off of wins, Fillion a win over the “Freak”, while Miller won his last fight with a TKO over Rohan Shah. Miller has ridiculous power in his hands, but is terrible on the ground, while Fillion is known for having a great chin, fast hands, and very good ground and pound. If Fillion gets him to the ground Miller will be done. The question is, can he get him there? Miller is deadly, short arms, short punches, all power.

The opener sees the return of Rohan Shah (1-3). Shah and his great ground skills will go against the defense minded Dusty Coldwater (1-4). Neither fighter can be happy with how their careers have progressed to this point, and both can feel like this is an opportunity to change things.

Fight One

“Silent Assassin” Rohan Shah (1-3)
23, 6'2”, 205

v.

“Dammit” Dusty Coldwater (1-4)
23, 6'0”, 205

Both fighters start tentatively, with each taking turns coming in and going back. Shah shoots, but doesn't get it all and ends up in a clinch. Dusty tries to take it to the ground, but Shah defends. They break and it's Dusty who pursues the fight. He leads with a right, and then shoots for a takedown. Shah saw it coming and makes a nifty move. Dusty stumbles and ends up on all fours, where Shah jumps him. Shah gets the body triangle on Dusty's back. Dusty tries to defend, but the Silent Assassin is very skilled. Shah gets a choke in and they both go to the mat as Coldwater taps from the choke in 4:24.

“Le Bleuet” Nicolas Fillion (1-3)
21, 5'9”, 205

v.

Windy “The Windmill” Miller (2-2)
23, 5'5”, 205

This was only ever going to be about the striking and that's the way it starts. The whole first round looks like a boxing match. Fillion's punches are crips and accurate. Miller plods along, but is getting hit quite a bit. Both men exchange, but round one belongs to Fillion.

Round two starts and looks very similar to round one. Miller is frustrated that Fillion doesn't need to come inside to do the damage. Miller tries to bring it close, but is answered and pays the price for it each and every time. Miller is totally picked apart, and has yet to land one of his patented “Windmills”.

It goes to round three, with Miller behind, he isn't known as a conditioning beast though, and may not have much left in the tank. Fillion keeps the fight standing, and does all of his damage from the outside again. Pretty easy round.

All three judges call it 30-27 for Le Bleuet.

Erik “EFOTNHNT” Flamebeard (2-3)
25, 5'11”, 205

v.

Yanick “Le Rat Musque” Fillion (2-3)
25, 6'0”, 205

The fight starts with Fillion taking a page out of his brother's book. He keeps the fight upright, and uses his good striking skills to best effect. Flamebeard is moving on the outside looking for an opening, but Fillion defends well, and makes him pay. Fillion is able to land good, hard, accurate punches from the outside, while the Dane's face swells.

Round two goes much the same. Even when Flamebeard moves forward Fillion is there with a kick or hard shot to keep him back. Clearly he want's nothing to do with the Dane's GnP. Flamebeard is able to grab a clinch, but Fillion is able to escape. Flamebeard lands a good shot at the end of the round, but it didn't do much. He may be fatigued already.

It goes to round three, Flamebeard charges out and is looking for a fast takedown. Fillion backs off and keeps him away with some outside shots. Flamebeard stalks Fillion, he comes close but eats an upstairs downstairs combo, that forces him back again. Fillion is showboating at the end. He knows that Flamebeard has no answer, and the Dane cannot respond. The fight goes the distance.

All three judges give it to the Muskrat 30-27.

“Doomvan” Alex Donovan (3-2)
24, 6'3”, 205

v.

“Magnificent” Matt Alexander (3-2)
25, 6'1”, 205

The fight starts with both men circling. A couple of ragged jabs from Alexander miss, and Donovan lands a kick. Matt throws a high kick, but Doomvan sees it coming and nails the takedown. Alexander quickly moves into position, and almost has a triangle shortly after hitting the ground. Doomvan tries to escape, and Matt flips him over and gains top position in a brilliant move. He almost gets mount, but Doomvan keeps his senses and gets him back into guard. Alexander lands a couple of shots but is unable to improve his position any more.

The next round starts quickly for Alexander. Doomvan parries a couple shots, and throws a kick to keep him away, but that doesn't stop Alexander from going for the takedown. Doomvan is able to get to the cage before going down, but is on the defensive. Both men engage in a series of grappling moves with Doomvan trying to get the back of Alexander, but he is defended and put back on his back. No damage taken by either guy, but a fantastic ground game.

The final round starts with both fighters taking their time. Donovan is the first to take it to the ground, however, there is so much momentum, and Alexander is so quick, as he flips Doomvan and takes top position again. Doomvan again spends the round defending from the bottom. Matt can't get the submission attempt, but his GnP is enough to keep Donovan honest. Alexander eventually gets side control, but so Donovan is defending well, and neither fighter can do much. The fight goes to the cards.

All three judges call it 30-27 for Matt Alexander and a little bit of redemption for their first fight.

Alexander recovered from an 0-2 start to his career and put 3 wins together over the last year, and has won his last 4 in a row to vault himself into the top of the contenders heap. With Rob Nielsen getting the next shot at the title he may have to win another fight in order to get his title shot.

The Main Event features the return of the undefeated, FOFC LH Champ, Brian “Anvil Hands” Johnson (5-0). He makes defense #2 of his title against “CW” Rob Nielsen (4-1). Nielsen's only loss was by submission and I don't think he will need to worry about that against Johnson. Johnson has finished all but one fight by KO or TKO, in fact only two fighters have taken him beyond the first round.. The question will be, can he hit the speedy CW? Look for this to be a striking affair. Anvil will have his chin tested as will Nielsen. All it's going to take is one good shot for the title.

The co-headliner features the #1 contenders fight. Magnificent Matt Alexander(4-2) returns to the cage after a short layoff, looking to add to his 4 fight win streak. Alexander has found game, and it's on the ground. His opponent in this fight to determine the next title contender is none other than Niclovin' Nicholas Thomas (4-1). Thomas lost to Anvil Hands, but came back in his last fight with a win over Tiny Bruce Douglas. Thomas is a verey good ground fighter as well, so look for this to be settled there, or perhaps both men feel that their advantage is standing and banging. It could go either way. I know that the fans would love to see a good grappling fest, and the 2010 Fighter of the Year would love to start off the new year with a win.

The second bout of the evening features The Hunter, Jace Mason (2-3) making his return to the cage. Mason hasn't found his stride yet, having split wins, with losses. His last fight was a loss against Magnificent Matt. He was submitted in the 3rd. His opponent in this fight is relative newcomer, The Freak, Klaus Benetoros (1-1). The Freak won his last fight with a strong TKO, after losing his debut fight the same way. Perhaps the winner tonight can make his way up the rankings.

The opener of the card sees the return of The Canadian, John Williams (0-3). Williams has been off the last year, and has just returned to the FOFC. He will be fighting Mr. Shy Guy, Kwame Mwakikagile (0-1). Williams is sort of a jack of all trades he doesn't excel in any one area, and isn't weak either. Kwame likes to fight on the ground, and is generally considered the favorite if he can get the fight there.

v.

“Mr. Shy Guy” Kwame Mwakikagile (0-1)

Williams starts out strong and charges Kwame, and puts him against the cage. Williams starts to score, and Kwame answers, and goes for a trip, but Williams gets away. Williams leads with a jab and then shoots for a takedown! What a surprise! A grappling struggle ensues. Kwame comes out on top, literally and spins into full mount. Kwame starts with some punches, but they aren't that impressive. Williams is doing the best he can to cover up. Kwame grabs and arm, goes for and gets the americana. Williams quickly taps at 3:11.

The striking dual begins. Mason and Klaus both start slowly. Both throw some sloppy shots and end up in a clinch. Klaus throws a knee and Mason backs up against the cage. Mason does well and Klaus backs off. But he answers with some good body shots, and a solid kick. Mason tries a kick, but it's slow and the kick boxer easily sidesteps it. Klaus throws two more shots, and then throws a roundhouse to the head. He misses, but it lands on the shoulder of Mason, and it's strong enough to stun Mason, who flies back against the cage. Klaus charges in with an uppercut and some good punches. Mason isn't defending well enough and the ref puts a stop to it. The Freak wins at 3:29 of round one.

Nicholas “Niclovin'” Thomas (4-1)
27, 6'1” 205

v.

“Magnificent” Matt Alexander (4-2)
26, 6'1” 205

Round one is under way for this title contender fight. Both fighters circle cautiously. When they finally come together they clinch up. Matt successfully trips Niclovin' and gets him down, then dives in for side control. Thomas quickly moves away and pushes Matt to the ground! He ends up in guard. A couple of punches are defended well, and Niclovin tries to move to side control and Matt tries to escape but the cage blocks him. Thomas maintains control on the ground and tries to isolate one of the arms of Matt. Thomas quickly transitions to try for a crucifix. It's a long struggle but he gets it, just before the round ends.

Round two starts with Alexander coming out quick with some quick punches. Thomas answers with a solid counterpunch. They come close and clinch again. Alexander answers with two really good body shots and muscles Thomas against the cage. He tries for a tip, but it's blocked by Niclovin'. They are against the cage when Thomas pushes hard off the cage and uses all the momentum to take Matt to the mat. Thomas goes for an arm, but is stopped, then he tries to pass but that is blocked too. Niclovin' is quickly transitioning from submission attempt to submission attempt and he is being stopped everywhere but things are happening fast. The round ends with Thomas in the dominant position but Matt stopped him from finishing the fight.

Round three begins with Thomas coming out throwing some punches. Alexander stopped most of them. Alexander throws his own, and it lands nicely on the belly of Thomas. They get close and it's Thomas who scores the fast takedown. Alexander again on the defensive and defending from the guard. A couple of punches from Thomas, but he feels confident. Matt almost gets a guillotine but Thomas escapes from it, and goes for a kimura. Neither can do much, and the ref stands them back up. The round ends without much action.

All three judges score it 30-27 for Niclovin'. He earns his title shot. Again.

Brian “Anvil Hands” Johnson, FOFC Light Heavyweight Champion (5-0)

v.

“Coffee Warlord” Rob Nielsen (4-1)
23, 6'1” 205

The battle for the title begins. Round one sucks, and it shouldn't for these two are both very energetic fighters. Johnson is pressing the action a bit more than CW. No big shots land and there is some clinching but the round ends.

Round two starts with CW coming out fast. Four quick shots are blocked by Johnson. They circle and Johnson fires off a combo, but CW moves in and out well and hits a hard counter. Nielsen lands a good kick, and then takes a jab. They clinch where Johnson lands a hard knee, but CW hits a couple shots to the body.

It goes to round three. And it gets crazy. Both men stand and go toe to toe to start the round. It's tough to see who is doing the damage and who is taking it. Both men separate to catch a breath. Nielsen backs up Johnson against the cage. Nielsen goes to the body. Johnson tries to get him off, and he does for a big, but CW comes back in with even harder shots. They clinch, and it starts a stalemate. The ref breaks them and Nielsen just misses with a hook before the round ends.

Round 4. Johnson leads with some jabs and then comes in and moves CW back against the cage where they clinch up. Both men trade blows inside, and CW goes for a trip, but Johnson defends well. Johnson just misses a shot, and moves away from another from Nielsen. Johnson drops a hard left and right on CW, and it's the first time that CW looks hurt. Johnson drives forward keeping the pressure on. CW backs up looking for safety. Johnson presses and nails a huge hook. Johnson turns around and heads back to his corner. CW is laid out in the center of the cage. Johnson retains his title at 7:22 of round 4.

FWIW, CW had won two of the first three rounds.
