UK Newbie Question

[UK Rookie]

Hi there as you can see im a rookie at this game.Played OOTP and Mogul aswell as Football Manager (soccer) but so looking foward to playing NFL Football.
Ive followed the game over here (Uk) on the tv and been to the states a couple of times to see it live so im not a complete novice.
Anyways my first of probably a few questions is.......

Is there a order you go through when playing the game as i see you do the following

1.Play Game
2.Check game box and log
3.E Mail for injuries etc
4.Scout next opponents
5.Sort Depth Chart
6.Work Out Gameplan changes
7.Input Gameplan Changes
8.Go to Sim screen
9.PRAY
10.Play Game .........and repeat 1

Is there something i need to do and am not doing?

Have you watched games on Solevision? Go to options, turn on 'hide results', sim and then sit back and watch the game each week for a fairly slow paced game.

The other common way to play is to turn on coach sets gameplan, sorts depth chart etc in the options, and whizz through the seasons concentrating on GM'ing and building a roster.
