View Full Version : Stickied Threads
Does anyone else just auto-skip them, thereby defeating their purpose? I was just realizing today that if there was an important thread stickied, I would totally miss it because my brain goes past those and looks at the normal threads to see what is updated first.
Am I the only one that does this? Have I missed anything big around here lately?

I do that, too.

Yep... there have been times when new games or patches were released and I had no idea because they were stickied.
Stickied threads should be for things that are important but would drop off the first page because they're locked or don't get a lot of participation. Forum rules, that sort of thing.
If something is new and is going to get a lot of discussion anyways, stickying it defeats the purpose.

Personally I prefer my threads to be peanut buttery.

Outside of FOF news or (I could only wish) TCY2 news I don't even read about the other sports text sims anymore. And it is sad because I joined this site only to talk about TCY and to join up in TCY challenges and now I probably post 99% of my posts in off-topic threads.

Yep, I never notice when there's a new FTB until sometimes weeks later.
