Fishermen kill shark story

I just saw the Good Morning story on the three "fishermen" who killed the tiger shark. I love how the hostess bimbo was treating these guys like they were some kind of fucking hero's having also dived many times with sharks I did not see the story the way the media was spinning it. My main question is why the fuck did these assholes have to kill the shark and not instead just get out of the water into there boat?

I have to admit I was wondering the same thing. The only way that could've played out for them not to look like asshats would be if the shark kept trying to cut off their escape angles. Still, very odd shark behavior as I've heard if you menace them at all, they'll flee. But then, of course, once they attacked him they had to take TWO FRIGGIN HOURS to finish him off :crazy:
