Hey guys, its been forever since i posted here, but i still snoop around the boards from time to time. I remember seeing a thread a month or two ago about Mounts and Blade being sold for like 5 bucks on impulse. I had already bought the game while it was in beta, but that still was a great deal for a pretty fun game.

Well this weekend at gamersgate.com, they are selling King's bounty for 9.99. I know a lot of you probably played the old King's Bounty back in the day, and you probably loved it like i did. This new one got pretty good reviews and for 9.99, it's a great deal.

I'm still downloading it now, but if anyone here has already played it, i would like to here your thoughts on it.

I really liked it, but it got repetitive after a while and I never finished it. If the original was up your alley you'll love this one.

ok cool.... for 10 bucks i couldn't pass it up. I'm surprised no one else was interested. The old King's Bounty was a classic.

I've played this game quite bit and definitely recommend it...especially for this price.

I wish I could play it, but they don't make a Mac version, and my PCs are all too old now to handle it.

I want to publicly profess my love for King's Bounty: The Legend. Got it (with its sequel Armored Princess) from Steam during one of their Holiday sales and I've been playing it steady a little every evening. It's simply awesome and relaxing to me. Love, love, love the turn based battles.

I saw this at our local half-price books for $9.95

I should have picked it up, but when I went back today they were out. Bah.

keep your eye the deal/discount thread, I'm sure it'll be back at a discounted price at some point on Steam. I think I paid something like $11.50 for both "The Legend" and its sequel, "Armored Princess". I've yet to touch the sequel but I've casually logged in some 35 hours with "The Legend". :)

Amazon has it for $12.99 with shipping which I prefer.

Not so imho - there are some decent Mac games kicking around and imho its likely that support will increase if anything as their market share has increased a fair bit in recent years PLUS more coders are familiar with their coding tools and suchlike because they've been forced to use them in order to make stuff on the iPhone.

(oh and get Plants vs Zombies if you haven't already - fantastic stuff, if not particularly cerebral ; :D)

I crashed on the third training mission in KB: The Legend, and now it won't launch at all. Fortunately Armored Princess seems more stable, so I'm just playing it.

Just finished Armored Princess. The ending snuck up on me a bit. I found the middle part of the game to be most difficult. By the end none of the battle were difficult and the final boss was simple.

Played Armored Princess all the way through on the Hard level with a Warrior. It's a very fun game and definitely recommend it.

I'm playing through again as a Mage. The game is very difficult in the early stages to about the middle (until you reach a certain continent) then it becomes much easier. Even then, it's still a lot of fun. I bought Tropico 3 on a great sale on Steam but I have yet to touch it until I complete this game as a Mage. Oh well...
